Iβm serioisly so bored you guys. I feel like I need a project. DH is building our headboard & said I could help him stain it but I donβt think Iβm allowed while pregnant? I could come up with a new sewing project but donβt know what to make. I canβt walk around every day with nothing to do but wait on this baby lol. I think if you do it in a well ventilated area and wear a mask it is ok. Not official medical advice of course but just what I think is right! I've stained several things this pregnancy. I do it outside and wear a mask.

rebeccabunch we usually leave up our decorations through most of January. This year Wife took them all down this week while she worked from home. It kinda feels good to have them down, doesnβt it? If I was due any earlier in Jan (Iβm end of month) my tree would be down too! For sure! This whole pregnancy Iβve thought to myself βheβs coming right after Christmasβ and weβll, thatβs now!

I have a little bit of a stomach ache after eating so many cookies today... Oops. DD and I baked cookies while it was snowing this morning!! She had a ton of fun. Pdq: I'm making Pizelles now then going to bed. I'll wrap my SIL gifts in the morning!

Pretty good! Off pain meds and mostly back to his happy playful self. His mouth is looking great and doesnβt seem to bother him anymore. His penis still looks terrible but honestly it probably will for the next 6 months until the next surgery. So Iβm just trying to adjust to it but so glad itβs not hurting him anymore. We have 8 more hyperbaric oxygen treatments to go!! Thanks for asking!!

Ugh Iβm annoyed with myself. I thought I hadnβt felt baby in awhile so I drank some water & did a kick count. Of course he goes crazy. But itβs like midnight & Iβm trying to sleep but now Iβve got him all riled up & now I canβt sleep haha.

dragonflyinn I feel like that is how it always goes. Iβm sure she has t been moving and I lay there willing her to move and then she wonβt stop. Weβre driving back home from a party with friends. Itβs about an hour and ten minutes from our house (but in the city where my hospital is), but this whole restless leg business is making it seem never ending. Canβt wait to be home and in my bed sleeping!

Our dog woke us up barking at something outside. Turns out DH forgot to crate him so poor guy was probably just startled by something or a car going by. But now itβs 5:30 & Iβm wide awake & my legs are swollen & achy. ππ

Well folks, as your New Years reminder don't forget to check your carbon monoxide alarms. Fun fact, they **CAN** expire (I certainly didn't know that) and should be replaced. Brought to you by the frogger family who evacuated our home in sub-freezing temperatures in the middle of the night because the alarm went off and despite ventilating and turning off the heat, like you are instructed to do, would not stop chirping. There is an expiration date on the back. The older ones generally expire after 8 years, newer ones close to 15. The very nice police officer and fire dept responders who responded told us all of this at 3am this morning after we had frantically thrown Em & Mia into the car with tons of blankets and called 911. Better safe than sorry but... π€·ββοΈπ€·ββοΈπ€·ββοΈ π€¦πΌββοΈπ€¦πΌββοΈπ€¦πΌββοΈ Happy New Year! We're headed to the store in the morning to buy a new one after having the fire dept confirm there were no unsafe levels anywhere in our home.

Oh sunfrogger thatβs rough!! I hope you guys get in a little nap today. Itβs just before 6 here, I woke up to go to the bathroom. Iβm trying to decide if I attempt to go back to sleep (but my children will likely be up in the next 30 minutes) or just get up and start being productive.

Oh no sunfrogger that sounds awful. I hope you guys can squeeze in some naps today! I fully intend on napping later. Baby girl kept me up most of the night kicking and rolling around. Church will not be happening this morning, seeing how we would have to all be fed, showered, and dressed to leave in a half hour.

Itβs a challenge to stay warm in our own house, let alone go to a football game today. We will see how long we last! Itβs currently 13 degrees. My mom is super not happy that we are still going, DH chronically underdresses for this stuff and then complains, my sister and her fiancΓ©e just moved back from a country where it is summer, and I just hate the cold with a fiery passion. But itβs my dadβs Christmas present and heβs still determined to go so I guess we are going to give it a try! At least we have a babysitter for DS. There is no way Iβd go sit outside with him right now!

OMG, sunfrogger, that is awful! I hope they donβt find anything dangerous and you are able to just replace your alarms.

snowyowl going to a football game sounds pretty unpleasant to me right now. I'm 39 weeks today and have reached the "so done" stage of pregnancy especially after the false alarm the other night. My mom gets here tomorrow night so it will be nice to have someone at the ready to watch DS. I'm have FWP annoyance that with DS I couldn't go out and walk because it was too hot and this time it is too cold.

sunfrogger that sounds awful!!! Glad it is an easy fix though. snowyowl Iβm so over being hot & sweaty id love to bundle up & sit outside for a game haha. Except going to the bathroom would be a huge chore Iβm sure lol. We are skipping church today too. After I couldnβt fall asleep last night I went to the guest bed for a bit but that didnβt help so ended up back in our room around 5:30. Hβs alarm went off at 7 and DD was in our room by 7:30. Sweet guy turned on a show & gave her a snack so I could take my time getting up (he was already up to go to work for a few hours). Weβre all up now & im waiting on my coffee. Today H will probably want to finish the headboard. We are also sitting down to redo our budget for 2018...we want to buy a van in the fall & H wants to have a low payment so we are going to start really pinching pennies this year. Also today is the last day of our fantasy football league & Iβm in the championship game so could end today $400 richer! At the very least I am getting mine & Hβs money back ($100) for coming in 2nd. But I want to win dammit. Iβm the only girl in the league and H has won 2/3 years weβve played so Iβd love to make it 3/4 for our fam!

I've been thinking a lot about names....I put up a post on the "baby names" part of the forum, here it is (below). Any thoughts from you ladies? DS is Ethan and his middle name comes from DH's family so I'd like to use a name from my side for DD's middle name. I feel like Vivian is my current fave but it didn't get a lot of love over on the other thread!
We have a baby girl arriving in a few weeks and I'm just looking for unbiased opinions! DH and I are both going to try to narrow down our lists over the next few days. I'm leaning towards using Pearl for her MN (family name). For first names, I like: Lydia Vivian Eliza Clara Roselyn Gillian Veronica
Any feedback is appreciated!

sunfrogger Iβm glad it was a false alarm. My parents had Co in the house a few years ago in the sub zero temperatures and it was no fun.

easternshoregirl I love Lydia, Roselyn, and Clara. Other options I love that are kind of in that same style are Cordelia and Rosalie. sunfrogger oh no!! I totally had an incident a few weeks ago where I must have nudged the gas stove knob with my belly and not noticed and my husband came home and panicked and told me to get out ππ we opened all the windows and went to the park for a couple hours. I felt so dumb. Glad it was a false alarm for you.

I like Rosalie and Siena too! We have a friend with a Violet, so I don't know if we'd want to use that one, but I really like it. The family member we're getting Pearl from also had a flower name as a first name, so that could be kind of nice.

easternshoregirl I love the first 4 names on your list. Clara and Lydia have been on my list of favorite names since DD1. Not a huge fan of the last 3. I also love the Rosalie suggestion!

After running some errands by myself all morning (ππ»ππ»ππ») Iβm now laying down hoping to nap. Dd is attempting to nap too and I sent MH to my BILβs to watch the Patβs game since he has had DD by himself all morning. Apparently she has been in quite the mood today so he needs and deserves some quality time away from us both haha.
Not much planned for tonight though. Weβll stay in definitely and cook up a porterhouse steak I got on sale and will probably be in bed by 9:00. I might see the ball drop at my midnight pee run if that counts for anything! π

We were going to go to a NYE event in our town tonight but DH just got a text from the neighbor that they want to have people over....that is way more appealing for us! It will be easier and we don't have to be out in the cold!
