Morning! DH's Mom just called and said it took 5 hours to get to Boston yesterday because of the snow. And apparently the party was crowded and all the kids were miserable. So DH and I are both extra relieved we skipped out.
Anyhow it's cold and slippery out, but I went outside for my last run of the year. Fortunately there were no cars on the road from 6-7 since I had to run in the road because the shoulders were so messy.
Now the boys are being nutty and we're heading to the grocery store soon. Not much else planned, which may need to change. I may call the trampoline park to see if Chase is old enough or I could take them to the closest mall to play there. I'm sure both will be packed but that may be preferable to being around grumpy DH, haha.

Morning! I ended up using the chicken I bought for the soup last night in a pineapple fried rice dish, so I need to go back out and buy another. We decided we're not going to the party at all tonight, so I am running the kids by today to say hi to the host family. I'm a little too excited for our cheese plate and apps.

I haven't taken Charlie to a bounce house or trampoline park yet because I feel like he'll break all the bones in his legs. The child is fearless and fast.

joelies our sky zone has toddler tinge where it is just under 5yrs I think. It is much better than if there were a lot of older kids. I think I might need to see if they have it today

I've never taken L either, but I think she'd love it! I bet she'd stay in one little area for the most part and if there were more wild kids she'd probably have me hold her. She's much different than my C was!

Taking Cadence to the arcade for their noon years Eve balloon drop in a little while. Then, we'll convert her bed when we get home. I also need to clean out her closet.
For now we're just lying in my bed watching YouTube.

I'm taking C to breakfast then an indoor playground and letting Dh have some alone time. This afternoon I pick up my new car and I'm so excited! Although it's all snowy and I don't want to track snow in it. Time to Prime all weather mats.

Morning!
We made blueberry muffins (B ate 3...is that normal??) and I've already started on my cleaning projects. I think we're going to go get some ornament-storage boxes at BedBath&Beyond and start taking the tree down today. Always kind of sad, but I'm ready for clean and fresh and that does not include lots of holiday clutter and a dying Frasier Fir.
Tonight the kids are having pizza and once they're in bed DH is going to do veal chops, risotto and spinach salad for us. Yummm.

Hugs tgrimes. Can you send your H over to your ILs' with the kids so you can get a nap? (I am assuming you are the one that needs the nap, b/c that's how these things seem to go )

When my mom got her new car last winter, it sat in her garage and she drove her old car (which hadn’t sold yet, they were selling their self) until she got all weather floor mats for it.

I’m sorry you had another rough night tgrimes. S seems much better today. She pretty much slept all day yesterday. And didn’t eat a thing. But this morning she’s had 2 juicy waters, and 2 pieces of toast. And I got all her medicine in her, which is just short of a miracle. Currently she gets 4 seizure meds (working on weaning off one) and her antibiotic. So I had to shove 5 different meds down her throat this morning. She didn’t get any last night because she threw them up (which she often does when she’s sick). So I’m glad we got them in her today. I have to get my house in order today. It’s a disaster. In the last 2 weeks I was only home for less than 24 hours before yesterday and hosted Christmas in that time with overnight guests. So I have to wash up bed clothes, clean up Christmas bags, wrapping paper, etc. sweep and mop up the glitter and debris that is everywhere. Also unpack from our time away and find a place for all the new toys. Need to purge old toys first though.

He’s currently still sleeping. My in laws have helped us out a lot the past couple weeks and I think they need a break. My MIL was just here yesterday to watch H while we went to Disney Live. I may be taking H to urgent care to see if he has another EI or if his ears are just draining. There’s some nasty crusty stuff in his ears again.

I think I might need to see if they have it today Yeah they have a couple hours of open jump for 6 and under on Saturdays, but I'm still not sure about Chase. He warms up to the bounce houses but I'm pretty sure I'd have to get on the trampolines with him. They have hours for that, too.

flamingo - Colin would eat 3 muffins (and then some) if we let him. That probably doesn't answer if it's normal, haha.

Back from the grocery store where DH forgot our meat and the girl who runs the front end (who loves the boys) ran out in the freezing cold to make sure we got it. They don't pay her enough for that!
Colin's new coat arrived and he loves it. Thank goodness, he's been trying to NOT wear his old one.
Also if anyone is still looking at coats, I am obsessed with mine. It may have been my stand-in but it's so cozy and warm, plus I took a photo at running group with one of my favorite runners - who is tiny - and I didn't look big or puffy. It's Eddie Bauer and is on major sale right now. The tag says $300 but DH paid well under $200. I love it.

Speaking of backpacks... I looooove fjallraven, but they’re expensive. Ds has a mini and you will not believe what fits in to it!

Morning! I'm currently soaking in the tub and dh is watching LO. I still have a slight fever but we are going to PF Changs for lunch. We got a gc last year and never used it. I need to get out of the house or I will go crazy.

Re: diaper bags, I'm not a backpack person at all, but the new one from Freshly Picked is gorgeous. If I was in the market for a new diaper bag, that one might convert me.
