snoopmommymom, guster Dh likes to call himself a social butterfly. I’m more of an introvert but i like to host, so we tend to have a lot of get togethers. This one was my idea and i had never met the 2 husbands. It turned it to be a great night! Both families have 6 month olds who they put to bed shortly after they got here and then the 3-5 year olds plays for a while until we turned on a movie in the basement. We played “What do you meme”, which is hilarious BTW They left around 11 when the kids started melting down. Get YH out of his comfort Zone, it’s worth it for adult interaction!!

And N convinced Dh to sleep with her (with a little influence from me). So I have a king bed to myself and they are sharing her full size bed. Mwahaha

slenle that game looks so fun! But we also don't host or have babysitters, so I don't know when we could play it. Someday..

I'd have to start by hosting an afternoon get together. I shut down way to early for an 11 pm bedtime.

We love to host, but my only issue is I go to bed early (or at least be in pjs relaxing) like you said, guster. We like to do 4pm get togethers if possible. Kids are happy and people typically don't stay tooooo late.

MH is a night owl, so he can easily entertain until 2am. Me, not so much. Even before kids.

I'm considering a post holiday present for the school teachers. Maybe chocolate or vodka for after the first day back with these terrors. i forgot to ask, how did the turkeys go? I was laughing at myself trying to carry in 2 gift bags with wine bottles that were not in proper bags and then laughed harder imagining bringing turkeys in😂. They'd be super surprised to get a post holiday treat I'm sure! I'm also extremely curious about this. I keep picturing turkeys falling everywhere and Sunny yelling, "You get a turkey! You get a turkey! You get a turkey!" Oprah style.

tgrimes Also, not sure if this works, but old folks say to put Vick’s on the bottom of your feet and put socks on to stop a coughing fit. I tried it a few times with M in the MOTN and a few times I swear it worked. Maybe not instantly, but maybe try it. You can call me crazy if it doesn’t work. 😉 I’ve been thinking about your nephew. Glad he is getting released, but sorry he is still struggling. I hope it doesn’t take very long for him to recover fully. Lol. You’re not crazy but I already do that. H hates it but I used to do it with M too. My sister always said it worked with her kids.

vino... no no no no to -40!!!! I've been complaining about 12 degree F weather around here! I'd never leave the house! Add me to the same husband category. I forgot to tell you guys a funny story- a few weeks ago, after I had been fighting a cold off and on for a week with mh out of town, he came home and caught the dreaded man cold. He was making me crazy and being so damn dramatic. One morning I texted my friend 'omg M has a man cold, I might kill him.' Then I copied and pasted it and sent it to my other friend. Flash forward a few days to when he's starting to feel better and I'm out with S at his sports class. I find a gift I want to buy on Amazon prime and he has the account, so I go to copy and paste a picture of the gift to him to order, and I somehow send him the text!! He was not happy. Oops!!!!

We have gotten lame in the last year but we used to always do g2gs with friends at their houses (sometime ours). It was much easier when H was around S’s age because we could put the toddlers in pnps and hang out as long as we wanted to. Now we usually leave at like 11-12.

We were invited to a New Year's eve party that starts at eight, and I can't figure out how to go because the kids could not handle the late night. I might stop by for a half an hour after they go to sleep.
