We bought it when O was around 18 months and had bronchiolitis. We have little vials of saline, albuterol, and budesonide. I used the saline occasionally to help clear out his sinuses. When he had chest congestion we were advised to do the albuterol and budesonide together. He hasn’t needed it in a really long time until this week. But when he does need it, nothing else solves the coughing except the nebulizer. Is that something I can just buy myself or does the pedi have to prescribe it? Prescribed. I bought the nebulizer at a pharmacy for like $20 or so and the meds were prescribed. I think the Pedi we go to now sells or gives out the nebulizer when someone needs it. They gave us new tubes and mask so O and Z have separate ones. I haven’t really needed it for Z though.

I'm considering a post holiday present for the school teachers. Maybe chocolate or vodka for after the first day back with these terrors. i forgot to ask, how did the turkeys go? I was laughing at myself trying to carry in 2 gift bags with wine bottles that were not in proper bags and then laughed harder imagining bringing turkeys in😂. They'd be super surprised to get a post holiday treat I'm sure!

MH is randomly drinking a mimosa. I took a sip and it was so good, I'm jealous. Ooh, you know what I was making this weekend that was delicious? A poinsettia...vodka, cranberry, champagne (have also seen with triple sec instead of vodka). Add it to your post-baby list! Want.

I was just thinking I need to make myself some on new years morning with all this talk about brunch. But I would be drinking alone. Maybe I'll bring them to girls night next week. And the problem with that is....? Lol, I thought the same thing. I've drank alone a time or 200 in my day. MH drinks alone a lot now that I'm pregnant. No reason for him to give it up since I can't have it!

And the problem with that is....? The kid will want to drink my oj C asked to have some and MH said no because it's only for adults. Just like when he wants coffee, mountain dew, wine, ect.

tgrimes, I’m glad your nephew was released. I hope he improves quickly. S/O nebulizers and constant colds.... that was C also. His status quo was runny nose and he would go weeks on end w the same raspy coughs. I think we’ve finally turned a corner now that he’s 2. But anyhow, back to when he had a horrible lingering cough all through this past spring and summer. Our pedi prescribed him an inhaler. That was a big fat LOL. He wanted nothing to do w that.

M fell off the couch and busted her lip open. So much blood. I swear one of the boys busts a lip or nose weekly around here. I've come a long way in terms of dealing with blood coming out of my favorite tiny little faces.

tgrimes Is it possible H needs a nebulizer? O has had a cough and one night it progressed to him coughing all night long so i asked his Dr if i should start the nebulizer. He told me yes so I’ve been doing it the last two nights before bedtime and he hasn’t coughed at all in his sleep. I have no idea. We've never had one. When I first read your post I wanted to ask this, but waited to see if anyone suggested it first. When M2 did his 6mo well check yesterday, MH asked her about his cough. Since we got a nebulizer the last time he was sick, she prescribed budesonide for it to prevent wheezing and help with the cough. We also got levabuterol for maintenance during this cold and flu season since he will most likely be a snotty mess for the duration. 😒

tgrimes Also, not sure if this works, but old folks say to put Vick’s on the bottom of your feet and put socks on to stop a coughing fit. I tried it a few times with M in the MOTN and a few times I swear it worked. Maybe not instantly, but maybe try it. You can call me crazy if it doesn’t work. 😉 I’ve been thinking about your nephew. Glad he is getting released, but sorry he is still struggling. I hope it doesn’t take very long for him to recover fully.

M fell off the couch and busted her lip open. So much blood. Oh that's the worst. Nothing bleeds like that. C split hers at the park recently (pre-broken tibia) with DH. First day she wore her new ivory coat, too. I was imagining a missing arm when I saw all the blood when she got home and didn't know what had happened.

Our allergist prescribed that. tgrimes has H ever used Singulair? That worked well for Atticus too but it was to control asthma. Worth a try?

So I'm running a fever, which explains why I'm sore and feeling drained. I've been with LO all day so hopefully he doesn't catch it.

As far as the nebulizer, the pedi office had them in stock. I had to sign some paperwork, but looking back at my EOBs, they never filed it through my insurance as of yet, so not sure if they will or if it was given. 🤷🏽♀️

We're in bed splitting a bottle of sparkling grape and watching a TERRIBLE disaster flick (2012). I feel like knocking back a party sized bag of cheese puffs. Mercifully, we don't have one.

I mentioned to MH a bit ago that I thought I may be getting sick. Of course now he's apparently DEFINITELY getting sick and feels just terrible. Great.

This is brutal plague going around. I was going to see if you wanted to go to Adventure Playground but it looks like we're going to be quarantined. Maybe next weekend?

I guess Dude wasn't really milking it after all. He crashed on the couch with Sinny and when he woke up had a fever of 103.4. Pedi said to bring him back if he was still having fevers on Friday but they were only in for a half day before the holiday weekend.
So I'll drag him out to urgent care in the morning.
He asked for a lemonade from the mall for dinner (Hot Dog on A Stick). He's hardly eaten all week no matter what we offer him.

Hi gals. I’ve finally caught up. We are all off this week and it has been a lot of togetherness and I’ve been sick. I’m thinking it’s bronchitis, annoying.
We’ve been doing a really job of keeping the kids entertained at home and out and about but I’m pretty sure we’re hitting the lovely spot in a staycation where we’re getting sick of each other. 3 more days.

Oh annnnnd to make things even worse we are in a deep freeze. Today it was colder here than the North Pole. I wish I were joking.
I was going to tell you all the temp and even convert it for you all, but along the way i discovered the temperature of -40c is when Celsius and Fahrenheit meet. Neat, eh? 😐

DH fell asleep in H’s bed when he was putting her to bed. S woke up and started screaming. She was literally a foot from his face and he slept right through it. WTF? She cried for like 10 minutes (at least, I didn’t time it) before she gave up and laid back down.

Only got half of Cadence's stretches done at bedtime, she had 2 timeouts and will likely wet the bed since she kept drinking water even after I told her not to.
I'm watching Crossing Lines on Netflix. I'm irritated with it though. The third season started and they have an almost completely different cast. The reasoning in the storyline was "they went home". Wtf? They just stop being cops and go home. Ugh!
