Whats on the horizon for the new year? Any big plans? Goals?

My big one: getting in my freaking house. We have had issue after issue pop up during this process (things outside of our control) and I just want in my freaking house!
Next: get fit. Once I'm working from home and have more time, I want to get fit.
Hopefully potty training both boys as well.
And getting pregnant.
All big things but I feel like getting in the house will be a fresh start for us. Not that we're not doing well now, but living with other people is so draining. I need my house.

After Disney we are going Pull up free at night so that is one goal. I've figured out he is peeing after he wakes in the morning so it's just being lazy.
My big goal is to hit goal weight (14lbs to go) and maintain. I also want to run another 5k and possibly do a bike ride this summer.

- I need to lose 30lbs... and it needs to happen next year. But I’ll start on a plan when dd stops nursing.
-Eating more greens and fruits and less junk food.
- Being less short with Dh when I’m tired. It does not matter how the dishwasher is loaded, or how towels are folded. It matters that he does all these things.
-buying less stuff I do not need.

My main goal is to get a better handle on my anxiety/panic attacks. I'd like to feel "normal" again and not have every little headache, heartburn, ect make me spiral into a panic.
Also, meal plan. My goal is to plan and shop on the weekend to hopefully save money and eliminate our 9273498374 trips to the store.

Spend less (sorry Cadence)
Do more, I live in a city with a ton of stuff going on all the time. I want to get out and experience more of it...especially if it's free!
Get my Dad's house cleared out and sold (hopefully)
Get in shape. A good shape, not this jiggly blob of a thing I've got going on right now.

- Get active more with the kids. DH is glued to the couch on the weekends so someone has to do it, and considering how many hours they spend in daycare, I need to be more present when we're together.
- Work on being more present with DH, as well.
- I'm toying with running a spring marathon. I haven't run one since a few months before getting KU with Colin but I'd love to run Boston in 2019 for my 40th birthday. Which means I need to qualify soon!!
- Meet some of you ladies!!!

joelies, I struggle with "being present" too. I need to get in better shape and lose another 15 pounds. Finally do a baby book. For B AND for S (oops) Try to figure out a way to get more "me" time, make plans to do things for myself and stick with them

I need to stop drinking every night.
I'd like to dry and get rid of this diastasis recti. I've been doing better with doing the exercises, but maybe if I wasn't drinking every night I"d be more willing to do them after the kids go to bed.

Being present more is a good one. I should add that to my list. I need to put my phone away more so I can focus all my attention on the kids.

Where do I begin... Start a better night time routine with the kids. Purge and get my house organized. If I do this, I feel like I will be able to be more present. Less mess to think about. Paying a huge chunk of my little student loan; which means I need to spend way less on things I (we) don't really need. like wineallthetime, this also means making 1 grocery trip a week so I don't overspend on groceries. Finding time to exercise at least 2-3 times a week. I'm sure I can think of more, but that's it for now.

I have another 30# to lose. We gut a new water aerobics instructor that is good and easy in the eyes so that week help. I might start BBM 7 on Jan 1 to help with this. I'm half way to where I want to be.
Going to get our budget better by using You Need A Budget.
Buy less crap and get rid of crap in the house.
Get a cleaning service.

I need a cleaning service, but in order to afford that, we need to eat healthier (aka order less takeout) and buy less needless crap first.

I don’t really do New Years resolutions, I just have running goals that I keep failing to meet. I’m going to start BBM7 on 1/1 and will stick to it for the entire 90 days. There is no try this time I’m going to do it. We also need to get debt paid off so I can get the basement finished, which is also something I hope to have done this year. This requires me to stop buying things we don’t need. I’m planning to ttc in nov/dec 2018 and need to have the basement finished before we have another kid. There’s no more room upstairs!

I did pretty good last year with weight loss, taking care of me, and getting finances in order. Now with the baby, I can start over on all those things. I also need to figure out this mother of 4 thing and budget to live on 1 income for the next year and a half.

Ah yes, I need to learn to budget. Try mint or you need a budget. mint is free. YNAB is a small fee but you budget every dollar every month. It might help keep misc spending under control for when the house is finished

I've done those things a few times and it just gets to overwhelming and I don't stick with it.

We take out a certain amount per week and use that for groceries, going out, grabbing a coffee, ect. Cuts down on the frivolous spending and makes you actually think about what you're buying. We need to start that back up again!

It might help keep misc spending under control for when the house is finished I use mint, but moreso to be able to see the balances of all of our accts at once. My problem is that it’s hard to know how to split things. For example: a target trip I may buy some household things, groceries, a toy for the girls, etc. Mint doesn’t make it easy to separate all of that (and I’d need to remember to go in and do it immediately anyway).

I like YNAB for that. You can supply savings account into multiple goals or 1 transaction into multiple categories. Mint really helped me get an idea of where we need to cut spending

wineallthetime I’ve been thinking about trying the cash system for a while. I think it will really keep me from spending on random things I don’t need and over spending at the grocery store. I may try it next year. I saw the no spend January thread on GD and think I’m going to try it, but modified for groceries. I have to make at least one grocery run a week for stuff like produce. I will also be eating my freezer and pantry stock for the month of January to try to get rid of some things in there, too.

Going to the gym more....I was really good before I got pregnant and I should at least be going to walk on the treadmill.
I also want to declutter the house before 2.0 gets here
