Hello!
Wanted to intro here even though I am still very nervous about this actually being a real thing. We have been trying for a second for 3 years so it doesn’t feel real at all. This was our 4th transfer via IVF and the embryo was a slow grower in the lab before they transferred so I didn’t have much hope for this cycle!
Got a BFP on Christmas Day. It was light but definitely there. I tested again the next day and it was definitely darker but I am still paranoid it’s not dark enough and comparing it to my last pregnancy. I have betas today and I am so nervous.
Additionally I will be a high risk pregnancy because I had a placental abruption at 31 weeks with my DS. It was a scary time and he was in the hospital for 6 weeks but he is 4 years old now and doing great.
I hope I get to stick around and get to know you ladies!
ETA: EDD is September 5th

So betas came back at 62! I am simultaneously so excited that I have a number (eeeek!!) and terrified that it is not high enough or won't double. So that is fun. Is 62 good for 15 DPO? I am not sure if I should even worry about it or just hope that it doubles.

My clinic was looking for any number over 50 that day. FX for doubling betas! |

Congratulations! My doctor also is happy with any beta over 50 that early! Fingers crossed that it doubles beautifully!

Betas came back at 97. I did the betas late wednesday PM and early friday AM so doubling time is 62 hours. The nurse I spoke with is nervous about a potential ectopic so we are getting more bloodwork on Sunday. I am so nervous and this has just been torture. I have barely been able to enjoy a moment of joy of being pregnant after so long. Just panic. :/

After all you’ve been through, it would be nice if the universe would the decent and give you strong doubling numbers right off the bat. I’m keeping my fingers crossed for you and I hope Sunday brings you some reassurance. |

Betas came back at 224. They are happy that it doubled but not happy with how low the number is. Also I started spotting pretty heavily today so I am not too optimistic that this will end well. :/

Ugh, hugs. This limbo is so difficult...especially after all the stress of infertility and IVF...each step just feels like trudging through thick mud. I’m thinking of you, and please let me know if you need anything. When is your next beta? Tuesday?

Thanks so much. Next beta is Tuesday. The nurse said the plan was to follow me all week with blood work and then schedule me
for an ultrasound for next week.

Well it looks like I am out. My HCG plateaued at 274 yesterday. I bled yesterday and had cramps. Hopefully my body is happy to handle this on it's own and it is not ectopic. They will follow me through the end of the week and see if they see anything indicating ectopic on the ultrasound Monday.

So today's number came back at 824 which is a normal doubling time from Tuesday 274 (44 hours) and 62 hour doubling time from Sunday's number (224). I don't know what to think anymore. I guess we will see on Monday whether this is ectopic or somehow a potentially viable pregnancy?

So I went for betas today and they came back at 2400!!! Almost tripled since Friday’s number. I am completely freaking out. I am trying so so hard not to get too excited. Trying to stay grounded until tomorrow’s scan which will be the true test.
