I'm 6.5 weeks into Jenny Craig and have lost 16lbs!
I'll continue on this path and be at my weight loss goal by September, which is when MH comes home and family pictures are being scheduled.

I ran 2.5 miles yesterday. It was... not pretty. I was reminded with every step just how jiggly my body has become. But I did it. I just need to keep doing it if I want to get back to where I was before I got pregnant.

The last 3 days I've been pretty proud of myself. I've stayed on track with healthy meals and snacks (except for the piece of pizza the other night) and the last two days I've walked 4 miles total. Sounds small but it's a huge improvement over what I was doing. I just can't quit drinking y'all. I can't even blame the fact that it's summer because I'd be drinking in winter too. Oh well. I am just cutting back, eating healthy, and working in some cardio each day where I can. That's my reality and so far it works.

As usual when DH is home my eating slips. I gained back 3lbs this hitch, so I'm not impressed with myself. We've eaten out a few times, spent time at the cabin (alcohol and snacks) and had a few birthday parties. So it's no wonder. Anyway fresh start. Getting my eating and water back on track. Unfortunately I won't he able to go to Yoga with him gone, but I'm gonna try to get back into the habit of daily walks with the kids (something else that I slacked off on while he was home).

I've boarded the struggle bus. My last work out was April 1st. That hurts to type. I overly stress about my supply so I don't work out unless I can eat an excess of calories which I haven't been able to do in two months because of how shitty I've been feeling.
I'm now five pounds under my pre pregnancy weight and not very happy about it because it's very obvious when looking at me that it's all muscle loss. I've worked so hard at getting in shape that seeing it all melt away so quickly is demoralizing. I would be thrilled if my problem areas had disappeared, but they've just become more obvious.
Mehh. I guess this is just my starting point. My goals right now are to keep trying to drink more water. Continue my daily walks and slowly find the motivation to work out whenever the opportunity strikes. I guess I have to suck it up and start drinking egg white protein shakes too. Gag.

For the record, I decided to skip the donut and just went on my mini walk around he building instead. I even walked right past the DD. I'm trying really hard to get my self-control back. I used pregnancy as a reason to eat anything I wanted, even when I knew it was bad for me.
So overall, May started good but I ended up landing right back where I was at the end. I don't even feel like we ate out all that much but we can always do better. Exercise was laughable as always. No excuse except being lazy.
Goals again are eat breakfast at home in the AM, pack a lunch, drink more water and get more walks in.

Don't be so hard on yourself sophiegrace, adding a little human to your life is a massive change and priorities shift. You'll get back there, give yourself some time. Be sure to celebrate your goals. And I can commiserate on the bottle refusal, Miss J wont take one either, keeping supply up because you have to is a lot of pressure. ::takes another bite of lactation cookie::

vino that is amazing progress--you should be very proud! I have made zero progress. I had a whole rant typed up about it but I will spare you all.

You guys are all doing awesome!!!! Way to go vino !!! Same to you jubilantsquirrel !! Very very cool to read. waitwhat Alcohol used to be my hang up prepregnancy. Have you tried more subtle changes rather than cold turkey for a month? I.e. Pick one type of beer you can have (let say corona light) and that's the only beer you can have. That way, if it's not readily available or a place you are at doesn't have it, it means you're not drinking that day or night (or you're going to one of the drink replacement ideas below). Some other ideas would be to always require yourself to drink a glass or half a glass of water in between drinks to fill you up (of course this defeats the purpose of drinking but sometimes I'm not even drinking to get buzzed but more because I'm being social or like the taste or in the mood) and my favorite the drink replacement trick - if you're into mixed drinks, ask the bartender a lighter way of making it and take t that way instead of the sugar loaded original. Favorite is instead of a real margarita I do tequila, seltzer, and lime juice. Or you can do vodka with seltzer with a splash of cranberry instead of a full on vodka cranberry, etc.

That is genius kleigh!!! My H makes a diet version mojito and I've come to love it more than the regular full sugar version. And then in my head (pre baby) it meant I could a million more of them.

Does anyone else have an exceptionally rough and wild baby? By time I put her down to bed I feel like I've gotten in a full body workout and my muscles are screaming at me.
It counts as some form of exercise, right?

It counts as some form of exercise, right? Holding my 22 pound monster all day is definitely a workout. And he just loves when we lift him up in the air too so my arms get so sore. It's worth it to hear that giggle though!

kleigh all good ideas. I just reread my post again and it sounds like I'm an alcoholic. I swear I'm not lol. I just find joy in doing things with a glass of wine in hand, like cooking, watching tv after the kids go to bed, sitting on my porch with a beer in the summer, etc.

Did you read my post yesterday? I did a shot while my ILs took my kids on a walk. None of us are judging lol. But yeah, wine is so much harder to do without. Half the time I don't even drink the glass (sad I know), just something about pouring it and holding it while I cook or unwind makes me feel like I'm "relaxing".

I went for my first postpartum run today, FINALLY!!!!! Wasn't a true good one bc H and I pushed the babies in the jogger and some of the sidewalks around here are cracked severely bc of our weather so we had to walk it over a few areas, but so felt amazing - WAY better than I ever imagined.
