I thought I'd try and get this going! I know there wasn't really a consensus on the other post so if a 3-12 month check in is preferred by more people that's fine! Edit- I just used the questions from the old 3-6 month check ins on TCF. If anyone has a different question or topic they would like to see just let me know!
1. How old is LO?
2.How is breastfeeding going?
3. How is pumping/work (if you are back to work)?
4. Any short and/or long-term breastfeeding goals? Any goal updates?
5. How are nights?
6. Any teeth/signs of teething?
7. Questions/AW/Rant?

1. 3 months
2. I pretty much AWed how it’s going. We’re really doing ok, but I think we are looking at a TT and possible ULT release next week.
3. I SAH.
4. Short term goals are get her a better latch and improve her gas issues. Long term goals are at least one year but I hope to make it to two years.
5. Rough. Her gas wakes her up a lot. We are doing a lot of bed sharing right now.
6. She’s started to blow bubbles and drool but I don’t think that necessarily means we’re teething yet.

1. How old is LO? She was 4 months yesterday! Where did time go??
2.How is breastfeeding going? It's still a real struggle..
3. How is pumping/work (if you are back to work)? I lost my job just before maternity leave started, so I currently SAH. I do pump though, 2-3 times a day; trying to give my supply a boost but it seems not to make much of a difference. I occasionally pump MOTN if I wake up around 2-3am, which really does seem to make a difference with my AM supply but I just can't make myself set an alarm for daily MOTN pumping now that LO STTN...
4. Any short and/or long-term breastfeeding goals? Any goal updates? I always hoped to BF for a long while, but with my supply issues I just don't know what's gonne happen. Hopefully we'll make it to 6mo at least. The past 2 months have been really rough and I've been tempted to throw in the towel a couple times but am determined to make it work as long as I can, even if we have to supplement with formula. I do so enjoy nursing her and just don't want to give up. Plus general health benefits etc.
5. How are nights? Pretty good, as LO has been STTN for a few weeks now. Which is possibly also why my supply took such a dive... combined with some other things. I'm debating whether or not I shall break up my nights by setting the alarm to pump MOTN. I'm struggling with PPD/PPA though and think that maybe proper sleep is more important. But I'm also determined to make BFing work somehow, even with my crap supply, so if MOTN pumping would really help... Or maybe I could give dreamfeeds a try but I worry that I'll end up f*cking up her STTN by doing so.
6. Any teeth/signs of teething? She's been drooling like whoa half her life by now LOL and my mum kept saying "maybe she's getting teeth.. your sister had 2 teeth already age 2 mo!". Ahhh noooo. She recently started blowing bubbles and is also chomping on everything she can lay her hands on and put in her mouth so who knows?
7. Questions/AW/Rant? Nothing right now

aves0708, how did you find out LO had a TT and possible ULT? D. has been checked by a pedi nurse and a LC and they both said it was fine, yet she does have issues latching still after trying everything so IDK? I hope it'll make a big difference for your little one!

muscari one easy thing is to just be sure you are drinking plenty of water throughout the day. I notice a significant drop in my supply on days where I just am not drinking (ie yesterday when we ran around doing all of out Christmas stuff). And if you think you are dealing with ppd/ppa, please speak with your doctor. There are lots of meds that are safe while breastfeeding; your mental health is important!!

muscari I wanted to wait until after our appointment yesterday to give you a better response. I suspected tongue tie because she was a loud nurser. She clicked and broke suction while nursing, and she was taking in a lot of air. Apparently it’s not a tie issue though. I’ve had two different pediatric dentists now tell me pretty much the same thing-that her lip is fine and that her lingual frenulum (under her tongue) is soft...so not a tie issue. The dentist said he could tell her tongue muscles were small so it was clear she wasn’t using them like she should be but it’s not because she can’t. I don’t know if that helps you much. I’m sending my LC an email today to discuss things further with her. A quick text to her yesterday led me to believe she has some ideas on how to strengthen her tongue muscles , so we’ll see. I was also lucky to be able to take a workshop with two lactation consultants. The basis of the workshop was baby sleep but they did talk about feeding and both said that not feeding at night will definitely impact your supply. A dream feed or MOTN pumping might help your supply. I was always scared of dream feeds messing with sleep too. If she’s a good sleeper she might just continue sleeping fine for you! It’s ok to not want to try this though or not want to pump MOTN if you need the sleep. Taking care of YOU is so so important. Your baby needs a happy and healthy mama. What did your LC say about her latch?
