Okay, this I could see making me more tired. Does it help a lot more than just the b6? For me it does. With just the b6, I wasn’t keeping anything down, including water. I’m already so tired (from not eating and general first tri exhaustion) that I don’t really notice any added drowsiness. I’m lucky that I stay at home with a great support system and a toddler who still naps, so I have the opportunity to rest when I need it. Oh man, yeah I would take the sleepiness over being that sick. I'm sorry you're so sick! Did you have HG with your first?

So I have Diclegis and not the unisom/b6 combo. I take it at 7pm and I get up at 4:30am and am usually not extra groggy. So I wonder if there is less unisom in the Diclegis. I sleep like the dead though when I take it.
I won’t take it during the day unless I get extra pukey. I didn’t find any help with b6 alone though.
I hope you all can find relief soon.

Maybe stupid question, but do you tell your doctor how bad it is? Have they offered you anything? I know how yucky I feel and I don't even puke every day, I can only imagine feeling that sick and not keeping anything down. Big hugs.

When is your due date? How far along are you? July 24th, 9 weeks today
How big is baby? A grape
Any upcoming appointments? I have one this Friday with the nurse. I'm excited for my u/s since the last one was with my RE.
Any new symptoms or changes? Still lots of headaches and congestion. The nausea is getting better but we've all been sick so I have no energy.
Rants/Raves/AW/Questions? I was hoping to get my blood work done for genetic testing soon but my practice sends you to MFM to get it done. They will not do it until the NT scan so I guess I'm waiting until 12 weeks. We won't announce this pregnancy to the rest of our family and friends until after that.
GTKY: What is the best gift you ever received? When I was pregnant with DS my husband got me these mommy charms that I love.

kam3100, each diclegis tablet has 10 mg of B6 and 10 mg of unisom. 2 diclegis made me very groggy the next day, and i think the extended-release aspect of it made me stay drowsier longer. that's why i switched to the 12.5 mg of unisom+25mg of B6.

kam3100, have you tried protein when you get pukey instead of just carbs? i find it helps more. i eat tons of cheese sticks. spoonfuls of peanut butter work, too (for some reason i can't stomach whole nuts right now).

I will try that because based on everything I have brought to work today, there isn’t any protein. Oops

August 21. 5 weeks today
How big is baby? A sprinkle!
Any upcoming appointments? December 27 is my first appointment

GTKY: What is the best gift you ever received? My husband gave me a Kindle a few years ago and it was the best thing ever. I use it all the time.

When is your due date? How far along are you? July 20 (based on measurements, July 10 based on ovulation.) How big is baby? Eh embyoish sized? I don't remember lol.
Any upcoming appointments? Jan 2 is my NT scan Any new symptoms or changes? Still nauseous and bloated. I go from a flat stomach in the mornings to 8 months pregnant by night. It's miserable. And so tired. I slept 14 hours the other night and it was glorious. Rants/Raves/AW/Questions? Aren't NT scans around 12-13 weeks? I'll be just over 11 weeks at mine. Just curious. GTKY: What is the best gift you ever received? I don't know. Is that bad? I can't remember anything specific. I do remember the disney princess lego set my MIL got me for christmas last year. That was... weird. I neither like legos or princesses or Disney (that much). H and I were both so confused. Most memorable gift? H got me a turtle for my birthday the first year we dated. I worked 3 jobs at the time, and was rarely home and I was like am i supposed to do with this? Besides that, i never celebrated birthdays or christmas til my late 20s, so not really a lot of gifts in my memory. I'm more of a let's do things instead of give me things person.

When is your due date? How far along are you? 7/12/18, 10w5d
How big is baby? Prune?
Any upcoming appointments? 11 week appt and ultrasound Thursday
Any new symptoms or changes? Less nausea but just generally feeling gross in the middle of the day. I've been getting headaches, too, which is new for me.
Rants/Raves/AW/Questions? Just ready for first tri to be over. I look so bloated by the end of day that I've definitely been getting the is she pregnant or not looks.
GTKY: What is the best gift you ever received? My mom gave me a "mom" necklace after my first son was born that has my name and the names and birthdates of both my boys and I just love it.

I was the same way with my last three pregnancies; in each of them, I lost 15-20 lbs in first tri and ended up more or less breaking even over the course of the whole pregnancy. I'm pretty much bracing myself for the sickness to come in a couple of weeks.

When is your due date? How far along are you? August 28 - 4 weeks
How big is baby? - poppyseed
Any upcoming appointments? I haven't even called yet; I'll probably just wait until after the holidays to schedule my first appointment
Any new symptoms or changes? nothing yet
Rants/Raves/AW/Questions? nope
GTKY: What is the best gift you ever received? My husband buys me Eagles tickets most years, which is awesome since he kind of hates Philly fans, but he's willing to deal with it for me. We're currently looking at tickets for the game on Christmas night, and if we get them, that will be my Christmas gift.

When is your due date? How far along are you? August 17, 5W5D
How big is baby? Peppercorn
Any upcoming appointments? First appointment is Jan. 2.
Any new symptoms or changes? Not really.
Rants/Raves/AW/Questions? We haven't told anyone yet, but will probably tell my mom and sister this weekend when we visit them for Christmas. We'll probably call his parents whatever day we end up seeing my mom. Then we aren't planning on telling anyone else until things progress more.
GTKY: What is the best gift you ever received? DH and I went to Scotland for our anniversary this year. That was more of a joint gift to each other. DH also planned a trip to Vegas next month for my 30th birthday and got me tickets to see the Backstreet Boys, so I am super pumped about that!

kaeguri, I believe NT scan can be anywhere between 11 weeks and 13 weeks 6 days (based off doctor google).

So, is every one getting the NT scan? I don't think I've ever been offered/talked to about it in any of my pregnancies.

notmoose, it's been standard with all 3 of mine (i am now AMA but i was not for my 1st 2 pregnancies). my OB office does an ultrasound to confirm the pregnancy at around 6-8 weeks, the NT scan at around 12 weeks, the anatomy scan at 20ish weeks, and then a 3rd trimester ultrasound (i think usually around 34 weeks) to check position/placenta/fluid levels. maybe they don't offer the NT scan if you are low-risk on your bloodwork?

My OB sends you to the local MFM (small town, there's just one) for both the bloodwork and the NT scan in the 11-13 week range, and then back there for the anatomy scan. I think if you get one of the blood tests (Harmony, etc.) they might skip it completely.

Hmm. At the office I go to typically they only do 1 ultrasound around 20 weeks for the anatomy scan. I had 3 with DS because I had bleeding from an SCH and then the anatomy. I had a dating scan this time because I requested it for peace of mind. I'm thinking you might be right and they don't offer it based on blood tests maybe. I might ask at my next appt, but it might be too late by then.

My office does the NT scan as a standard even if you get the NIPT. My insurance covers it, so I will get it done.

I don't even know what blood tests they ordered. I had 5 vials taken today but didn't even ask what for. 🤦♀️

My OB only does one ultrasound before the anatomy scan if you are low risk, so if you get a dating ultrasound, you don’t get an NT. I also had no genetic screening based on low risk factors. They seem to be very laissez faire in general though...

notmoose, I have to speculate that it might have to do with some of the laws in your state regarding termination - some parents may choose to terminate based on the NT results, but some may not have the option anyway, and it would be more of an informational thing.
