For the purposes of this check-in, we will define extended breastfeeding as breastfeeding beyond 1 year. Questions are repeated and suggestions are appreciated! 1. How old is your LO? 2. How many times per day does your LO nurse? 3. What is your LO's name for nursing? 4. What is your LO's sleeping arrangement (crib, toddler bed, twin bed, sidecarred crib, bedsharing...)? How has it changed (or not) since your LO was a newborn? Pregnant & BFing Moms: How are you doing this week? Any issues with supply, pain, aversion? Questions for other moms? Tandem Nursing Moms: How are you doing this week? Any current challenges? Questions for other moms? Non-BFing question of the week: What are your favorite family holiday traditions (or what traditions do you hope to start with your LO(s)?

1. How old is your LO? 22. How many times per day does your LO nurse? 1-23. What is your LO's name for nursing? Bobbies/boobies4. What is your LO's sleeping arrangement (crib, toddler bed, twin bed, sidecarred crib, bedsharing...)? How has it changed (or not) since your LO was a newborn? bedsharing/occasional time in a cosleeper, then transitioned to crib by the side of our bed, then moved him to his own room. he's still in the crib bc he doesn't try to climb out. oh, and now DS1 sleeps in the crib with him. this was DS1's choice. we have a twin mattress on the floor in our bedroom, but he evidently needs constant physical contact with someone (this was after months of sleeping in his own bed in the same room as DS2).Pregnant & BFing Moms: How are you doing this week? Any issues with supply, pain, aversion? Questions for other moms? My nipples feel extra-sensitive, but still no real aversion, thank god. DS2 seems to be losing interest... he mostly skips the morning now, and the past few days he's been nursing for like 30 seconds in the evening and then saying "all done." I don't know if the taste of my milk has changed or it's just because my supply is lower or what. I would be fiiiiiine with him weaning.Non-BFing question of the week: What are your favorite family holiday traditions (or what traditions do you hope to start with your LO(s)? Making cookies. Matching christmas pjs for the kids. baking something for christmas morning. i'd like to start making pizzas on christmas day. we don't usually go anywhere on christmas day, so i think that would be a fun tradition. when the kids are a little older, we'd like to start donating or volunteering somewhere over the holiday season.

1. How old is your LO? 15 months
2. How many times per day does your LO nurse? 1-3 on days I work in office, 4-6 on days I'm with him all day.
3. What is your LO's name for nursing? Nothing, he just starts yanking on my shirt. It's getting annoying so I need to work on a sign or word.
4. What is your LO's sleeping arrangement? How has it changed (or not) since your LO was a newborn? He started in a bassinet next to our bed in our room then I realized it was almost easier for DS and I to not be in the bedroom with MH so for a few months I slept on the couch and R slept in his pack n play next to me. Yes, MH was a lucky guy and after the first few weeks I did 100% of the MOTN work and let him sleep. When I went back to work at 4 months old we transitioned him to his crib in his own room and that's where he still is.
Non-BFing question of the week: What are your favorite family holiday traditions (or what traditions do you hope to start with your LO(s)? We do a big breakfast at my parents house Christmas morning. My family always did it and even with us all having SOs now, we've managed to keep it up. I also love going to pick out and cut down our Christmas tree.

For the purposes of this check-in, we will define extended breastfeeding as breastfeeding beyond 1 year. Questions are repeated and suggestions are appreciated! 1. How old is your LO? So close to 2 2. How many times per day does your LO nurse? 3-5 depending on the day and a few overnight/ early morning. 3. What is your LO's name for nursing? she really just somewhat politely grabs at my boob lately she's been saying something that kind of sounds like booooo maybe boob? I've always said milkie so I wish she would pick that up 4. What is your LO's sleeping arrangement (crib, toddler bed, twin bed, sidecarred crib, bedsharing...)? How has it changed (or not) since your LO was a newborn? FOr the first few months, dd slept in a basinet insert in pack 'n' play. When she started rolling we moved her to the crib and she started bedsharing. She starts out each night in the crib and moves to our bed when she wakes up, which is usually around 11/12. Non-BFing question of the week: What are your favorite family holiday traditions (or what traditions do you hope to start with your LO(s)? We need to start some traditions We spend xmas at my parents with my brother's family. We don't really have any traditions other than the normal opening of presents on xmas day. We need to start matching pj's, etc.

1. How old is your LO? - 2.75year
2. How many times per day does your LO nurse? - 0-2
3. What is your LO's name for nursing? - milk, nursing
4. What is your LO's sleeping arrangement (crib, toddler bed, twin bed, sidecarred crib, bedsharing...)? How has it changed (or not) since your LO was a newborn? - crib in his room. He was in my room in a bassinet for the first 3-4mo but when he outgrew the bassinet we moved him to his room. It’s 2 ft away from my room and he was already STTN.
Pregnant & BFing Moms: How are you doing this week? Any issues with supply, pain, aversion? Questions for other moms? - pain is increasing. Supply is gone. If I can make it to 630-7pm before I take my phenergan, I can do bedtime & he nurses. If I have it take it before then I am usually asleep at bedtime. Or too worn out from hours of sick.
Non-BFing question of the week: What are your favorite family holiday traditions (or what traditions do you hope to start with your LO(s)? - decorating the tree together. Going to Christmas Eve mass.

1. 24 months 2. 6 ish 3. milk, or nilkies 4. She has a toddler bed in a room with her big sis, but usually spends at least half the night in bed with DH and me. This has evolved with time, but since being a newborn has had a strong preference for sleeping in bed with us. Big sis wasn't like this.
QOTW: I feel like so much of our tradition is everything leading up to Christmas- the tree, the advent calendar, lots of legos, the parade, the elf, cookie baking, crafts, gingerbread house, etc. On Christmas we do cinnamon rolls for breakfast and only stockings are opened before breakfast. It seems like each year since DD1 was born, Christmas has been celebrated a little differently- location, what family involved, etc.

1. 2
2. 4-5
3. She’s always signed milk, now she’s starting to say mama milk as she unzipps my sweatshirt lol
4. She’s in a crib in her own room. She started out in the rock n play in our room then transitioned to the crib sidecarred to our bed. She was in our room for the first 9 months then we moved her to her own room.
Tandem: We’re trucking along. Everybody in the house wants my boobs.
Non BFing question: We always stay home and order Chinese on Christmas Eve. When the kids get older we’ll probably add in taking a walk to look at the Christmas lights around the neighborhood. I want to start doing matching jammies for the kids but that didn’t happen this year. Next year.

1. How old is your LO? 3.5 (pretty confident the little is weaned) 2. How many times per day does your LO nurse? 0-2 3. What is your LO's name for nursing? He talks. This morning was, ”Mommy, I’d REALLY like some breastmilk please.” 4. What is your LO's sleeping arrangement (crib, toddler bed, twin bed, sidecarred crib, bedsharing...)? How has it changed (or not) since your LO was a newborn? He and DD share a room with him in a toddler bed. We have them in a bassinet next to our bed while they’re really small.
Non-BFing question of the week: What are your favorite family holiday traditions (or what traditions do you hope to start with your LO(s)? (A family member or family friend dressed as) Santa visits our family on Christmas Eve to give out presents and sing songs. I can’t wait for the kids to get excited over it the way my cousins and I used to. They might still be a little young, though.

1. How old is your LO? 2 2. How many times per day does your LO nurse? 2-3, sometimes 4 3. What is your LO's name for nursing? Milk, or mommy milk 4. He slept in an automatic RNP next to my side of the bed for the first six months, now sleeps in his crib in his room. Crib is going well, so no plans to change until he starts trying to escape
Non-BFing question of the week: I love Christmas Eve at my grandma's, we started doing a white elephant exchange in recent years & it's a raucous good time. C gets new Christmas jammies and a book each year on Christmas Eve night before bed. Christmas Day, stockings & presents, then breakfast (same meal since I was a kid - eggs, bacon, fruit & orange cinnamon rolls) then starting this year, a new tradition for the day - just me, MH and C will spend the day at home in our pajamas while C plays with his new toys (and we drink mimosas and spiked coffee). Hosting numerous visitors/traveling to see family all day, got too stressful. We will see family before & after Christmas Day, but that day is ours.
