I couldn’t for the life of me find precreated discussion questions this time, so for now, just discuss the book. Did you like it? Hate it? Favorite/least favorite character? The usual discussion points haha.

I thought it was cute and sweet. Loved the grandpa, he's sassy lol. I really didn't dislike any of the characters, actually, which is odd for me lol

I thought the book was a fun, light, easy read and it definitely helped me get into the Christmas spirit. I normally don't really read books like this, so the cheesey factor was a bit high in some places....like when the main characters went on these monologues about their feelings to each other....I was just like FFS, it's only been 6 days and you aren't even officially dating yet - who talks like that? But then, I was like - this will probably be made into a Hallmark movie, so I just need to let this go 😂 I also casted the Hallmark movie already (with an unrealistic A-list cast) - with help from roguelily. We have: Julia - Reese Witherspoon in her early 30s Cain - a young Colin Firth Grandpa - Michael Cain (has to be British bc Colin Firth) Starbucks Guy - Jesse Tyler Ferguson Cammie (the best friend) - Rose Byrne The boys and girls club guy friend - Jeremy Renner I put way too much thought into that. Overall - fun read, nothing life shattering or impactful, but I'm glad I read it to get myself in the mood for the holidays.

I can guarantee that this will be a hallmark movie next year and I will watch it.
It was cheesy and not my favorite of hers but it was also exactly what I needed for the holiday season. I'm working on my Hallmark cast because I love your A-list cast.
I did love the Grandfather

I enjoyed that it was a fun, light read and enjoyed the Xmas background. Some things were eye roll worthy (as stated previously how hard they fell for each other in a couple of interactions). I also thought to myself that if they guy were standing by the door and waiting for the girl to leave the apartment, I would probably call the police..... so some of the girls actions were dumb and annoying but liked it overall for what it was.

And how he just kept ending up where she was. Or the fight between him and the friend.

Ok so, this is not my genre but the library put a little romance "heart" on it, so I stuck with it thinking: "hey, this book is bad at least there will be some smut and that might be interesting". (Also, hetero smut is really not my thing but I still was willing to work with it..). I got to the end of the book, turned it back to front and exclaimed: "what the hell!"

It was typical cozy romance. I'm not a big fan of the blog/set up schitck, but it was overall pretty cute.
It was WAY better than one I read afterwards...which I can't for the life of me remember the title...only that there was a ski shop called "maximum glide".

I also had a really hard time believing the (what seemed to be text-only) blog went viral in just a few days with such a small initial audience. I know, Hallmark movie...but still!

I know, Hallmark movie...but still! This nailed how I feel about any fluff book ever, haha. I don't Hallmark but I read a lot of YA romances which I feel is the same ballpark? I like them for what they are...but still lol Except for fucking 1000 Kisses or whatever it was called. I will hate that book until the day I die.

I finished this last night. I agree with everything already said about the cheesy aspects of it and many of the eyeroll worthy things. It was a fun, fast read though. I'm probably going to power through a few more Debbie Macomber Christmas books in the next week. I just started Dashing Through the Snow.

I started it yesterday and finished it tonight. It was a really quick read. For some reason they reminded me of Bella and Edward in the first Twilight book. He was all like brooding and protective of her and she was like adorable but annoying. Idk. I also loved the grandpa!
