guster since we're Jewish we don't do stockings, but my friends often put snacks and stuff in the kids stockings. What about throwing in some pouches or something like that. B would probably prefer that to any toy I could give him! This might be a UO, I don't mind if his stocking is not super full. He'll be so happy with all of the gifts (and once again we went way over the top), but because he doesn't really have a concept of the stocking, yet, it's okay with me, if it's pretty thin. Next year will have to be different. And we do snacks too, mostly gum/mints and chocolate, and there's always a chocolate orange in everyone stocking.

Netflix says 53 viewers have been watching "A Christmas Prince" every day for the past 2 weeks. Is it you inthekitty ?
Lol! I actually watched it for the first time yesterday while wrapping a seemingly endless mound of gifts and I give it my full endorsement! It inspired me to impersonate a tutor for a random royal family and then snatch me a prince--it was like a how-to guide. I was actually thinking of watching it again tonight because I want to groom Maddie to watch Lifestyle-y movies with me.

wineallthetime Eh we only do want, need, wear, read, Santa and stocking so I try not to stress too much about it. We are doing a trampoline from Santa, so that's the only thing that stresses me since I'm not lugging that back and forth. I'll have to figure out something for her to open Christmas morning to represent it that she will understand. So all of the gifts are from you and Tim, but one big one is from Santa. I love hearing all of the stuff. I remember mwhip had a great thread , I think it was on Facebook, that I just loved reading through because it was about wrapping Santa's presents. Everything we buy is from Santa, so it's all wrapped.

guster, we do stockings first. Growing up my siblings and I would always wake up before my parents and we were allowed to open our stockings before they got up. That allowed my parents to get more sleep. Our gift from Santa was not wrapped so we were allowed to play with whatever that was as well. Santa brings 1 unwrapped gift and fills the stockings.

I'll do santa paper on the santa gifts and a different print on the gifts from us.

We do presents from us on Christmas Eve, Santa and stockings Christmas morning. We've usually done stockings last.

Everything we buy is from Santa, so it's all wrapped. MH said Santa never wrapped their gifts. My gifts from Santa were always wrapped. MH did that on Cadence's first Christmas (really 2nd, her 1st christmas was practically nonexistent since she was only a few weeks old). He wrapped all the presents he got her and put Santa on the label. I looked at him and said, so you didn't get her anything? "Yes I did, I got her all those." Nope. Santa got her those, you didn't get her anything. So now he sticks with my Christmas rules. He said they didn't do Santa gifts or stockings growing up.

We wrap everything, but Santa has special paper that only he uses. My sister's and I try to coordinate that. We open gifts Christmas Eve and the stockings and Santa on Christmas morning.

We were never allowed to go look at the presents until my parents made coffee, turned the tree lights on, ect. Then we'd all go downstairs together. I'll continue that with my kids. There's something special about all going down together and seeing the tree lit up and all the presents!

First! It's like a warm-up! I don't know how we did it when I was younger, but it's very clear to me from about fifth-grade up when I started really wanting jewelry, that stockings became last because the best presents were always in there.

Santa has a paper for us. And I like to wrap so I don't miss any reactions.
I'm trying to have Santa only bring a couple toys bc I'm worried about kids comparing what santa brought. So each us getting 2 from Santa this year, anything else is from us.
Are you having your kids get people presents? Or siblings get each other gifts?

We leave the tree on all night on Christmas Eve, but I love the idea of walking down together to see it all.

Oh that I never get, only random stuff goes in stockings for us - candy, knit knacks, orange, makeup. All nice presents are under the tree. I see "stocking stuffer" ads for jewelry and it doesn't make sense to me.

C had a secret Santa shop at school so we had him pick out presents for us, L and the grandparents. He is being very tight lipped about them, so no clue what he picked (I'm sure it's all junk).

MH also thinks I'm insane because I wrap everything inside of the stocking. A habit leftover from my mom, I guess. The first year we were together he thought it was so strange that he was unwrapping Chapstick and beard oil.
