I woke up at four for some reason. On my day off. I'll try to think of something fight worthy.

I can't think of anything shock worthy yet. Small headache this morning. You were amazing in the drinking thread last night. 👍

I don't like napping because I wake up groggy and very emotional similar to my toddler after hai nap I can't nap. It just takes so long for me to fall asleep, and the few times I've done it over the last few years I also wake up groggy. I do hope to be able to nap when I have a baby.

Also, I cut cable and really wasn't excited about it. 2 years later I don't even notice it's gone. Between Netflix hulu and Amazon I'm pretty set
I also have the pbs streaming app because I'm the biggest nerd

HGTV is the only thing I miss about cable. Same. I used to have that on all day when I was pregnant with my first.

I don’t like the “modern” Christmas songs. Dare I say that no good new songs have been written for the holidays in the last ten years?

Kelly Clarkson's Underneath the Tree is my jam. Also, Last Christmas. I don't know how old that one is though. Most of what they play on the Today's Christmas on Pandora I love.

HGTV is the only thing I miss about cable. We also dropped cable. But Hulu and PlayStation vue stream the regular channels for not too much monthly. Eta: You can add it to your roku. Oh, got it. I'll have to look into that.

Question: by the time you pay for all the streaming services, is it that different than cable? I assume you are still paying for internet? Ours is bundled, and when I sat down to compare - taking into account various streaming services beyond Netflix which we would have either way - the savings were pretty minor. I think we ended up saving like $80-$100 a month. I have Amazon for the prime services, the shows are a bonus. I'm about to get rid of Hulu because I don't use it. And we have Netflix and sling. I could probably do without sling but MH isn't ready yet. Eventually I want cable again. But I don't sit on the couch and watch TV right now. Maybe when the kids are a little older and I can sit and enjoy shows again.

We could get cable for $50/mo for 2 years. So we're not saving that much, especially since I would keep Netflix and Hulu even if we had cable. Our internet is $70/mo. We just didn't think we needed it and haven't missed it too much.

I only spend about 20 a month. I would have prime regardless and the pbs thing you get with a donation I was doing before every so often

I am a champion at napping. I can nap 20-30 minutes and recharge. M up refreshed enough to push through. It's basically how I do all the things I do. I will squeeze in a nap here and there.

I may get cable again when we have a baby. They keep sending notices in the mail. $50/mo for two years, 2 DVRs included, and a $150 visa GC. It would be nice to have when I spend 8 weeks at home.

We save $50 per month from our introductory rate. We had gotten a letter that our cable was going up $30 per month so that's what made us switch. I do miss my dvr though.

But at one point our combined internet/cable bill was $250/mo. Outrageous.

I always find it odd when streaming TV people say they miss the dvr. Like you don't have to record when you stream cause it's always ready to go? Or am I missing something?

And without a DVR cable is almost worthless to me since I go to bed so early.
