Sorry I’ve been so inconsistent with posting! 1. She was looking at DH upside down today and saying “I see you!” She’s convinced that coats with fur trimmed hoods look like peacocks. And gets very excited about it. She and her 16mo cousin have been crawling around saying they’re swimming in the water. 😂 2. I keep reminding myself it’s a good thing: some nights she wants to go right to her crib without rocking and when she does want to rock, it’s for a minute or less before she’s saying nigh-night and pointing to her crib. It’s great from a developmental standpoint but it gives me feels. 3. She’s getting excited about ABC’s, though she doesn’t know many of them yet. Same with numbers/counting. 4. Dinner is very hit or miss. Not her greatest time for eating. She’s definitely starting to show strong displeasure at not getting her way in the form of whining, crying, sitting on the floor, and occasional hitting. 5. Good and bad. Training for my promotion is going really well. I haven’t started getting my increased pay yet, so money stress never stops. QOTW: ETA: couch, wine, TV, and crochet or cross-stitch.

Heeeey, guise. I've been terrible at the check-ins the last few months because I was out on mat leave, and typing with a keyboard is lyyyyfe. I am always around in the shadows, tho. Just a creepin'.
1. What hilarious thing(s) did your little do this week? (Give us a laugh!) TT - She's trying to learn how to jump, and it is ha.larious. She basically leans all the way forward with her nose to her knees, her arms stretched behind her body, and starts counting "1, 2, 3, wheee" and flings herself up. She hasn't gotten both feet off the ground yet, but she tries just so damn hard.
TT 2.0 - 3mo olds aren't really funny. Except when they man shart. That always makes us giggle. Because we're 12.
2. What made you go aww? (Happy things here!) TT - She has only wanted me to put her to bed these last few weeks. She snuggles right up to me while I sing her songs, and we do our prayers. When MK puts her to sleep, she screams bloody murder. When I do it? Easy peasy, right into her crib. This is HAYUGE considering how chopped liver I am most of the time compared to Daddy.
TT 2.0 - She just started DC, since I've just returned to work, and the look of pure delight and relief on her face when she saw me for the first time after her first day back completely melted my cold, hard heart.
3. What had you cheering them on? (Milestones) TT - So, we've always planned on doing the 3 day bare butt potty training method, but have a potty for her, for when she has interest. This kid is now running up to us several times a day asking to go potty, and then actually sits down and goes. It is working so well that we now have a potty chart, so maybe the 3 day thing won't be our way. Reminds me of when I swore we were going to do BLW, and TT was having no parts of that. Do what works, I guess.
TT 2.0 - The smiles, the giggles, the almost rolling over. She has amazing tone, and is super strong, so I won't be surprised if she hits the gross motor stuff earlier than TT. She already has with things like batting at toys, etc.
4. What made you want to crawl back into bed? (Challenges go here!) TT - I mean, she's a toddler. And she's my daughter. Erry day is a challenge.
TT 2.0 - Cluster feeding at night now. I totally get why it is happening, but I feel like I never get a break.
5. How you doin? Physically, still broken. My spine MRI came back negative, but we still have to do my hip one. I'm just feeling defeated that I'm still in so much pain a year out. I want to be able to interact with my kids while they are still little, and the physical toll it has taken is really impacting my quality of life in that regard. Emotionally, I'm doing okay. I mean, all things considered. Just trying to soak it all in, and remind myself that I'm going to miss these days one day.. even the really hard ones.
QOTW: What’s your ideal post-baby-bedtime night? Wine, and either catching up on the DVR, reading, or spiraling down rabbit holes on the interwebs.

I haven't been good at checking in either. Things are busy. But I try to read as often as possible.
1. What hilarious thing(s) did your little do this week? (Give us a laugh!) I think C (4yo) is developing sarcasm. H (1 yo) was being a handfull, just into everything and not listening. C speaks up "see mom, I told you a baby was a bad idea. Maybe we should let nanny take him" (my mom always says she's gonna take him when she visits). So then I tell him that H is our baby and blah blah blah. So he goes "well....... She can babysit him". I don't know if this is funny to read but I was in the fits laughing.
2. What made you go aww? (Happy things here!) I'm always nervous that H won't want to go to DH when DH gets back from offshore (he's gone a lot and H is still pretty young). Anyway when DH got home last week, H immediately got up in his arms and just cuddled into him. It was the sweetest and absolutely melted DH.
3. What had you cheering them on? (Milestones) C just started swimmimg lessons. In 5 lessons, he went from not wanting to get his head wet to jumping in the deep end amd swimming on his back (the swimming on his back he is doing without a float or anyone supporting him). It's absolutely incredible how much progress he's made and how much confidence he's gained in such a short amount of time. H is growing like crazy. He's climbing off and on the couch all on his own, running, and playing more.
4. What made you want to crawl back into bed? (Challenges go here!) We can't get a break from teething. He finally cuts one through and I think I'm getting a break, then 2 days later the crazy fussiness starts again and I feel around his gums to find another spot hard and swollen, then hell for another week or 2 until that tooth finally comes through, repeat.
5. How you doin? I'm a mess. I finally figured out a daycare situation and now I don't know if I have a job to go back to (due back in January). It's a long story but they're trying to force a schedule change that I just cannot do, and are basically forcing me to either do it or quit. I'm fighting it but it's really taking a toll. I'm also job hunting but there's just not a lot available right now in my field (aside from bottom-of-the-barrel, take a $12/hour paycut, in which case it would make more sense for me to SAH).
QOTW: What’s your ideal post-baby-bedtime night? Honestly I just want a solid night's sleep.

I’m so bad at keeping up with this check in.
H is doing great! We haven’t had a poop accident in at least two weeks so I’m hoping we’re finally done with that. He’s been learning so much this year at daycare.
G is a mess as usual but is talking so much more! His daycare teachers have noticed as well. They also wanted to start potty training last week so we did, well not hardcore anyway. He’s been successful twice in the last week and a half. I’m not pushing it until at least after Christmas.
We just moved into our new house on Halloween so we’ve been busy getting everything unpacked. The boys absolutely love it here, and I’m starting to love it more and more. We’re hosting DH’s family for Thanksgiving so that’s been a little stressful, but should be fun overall.
QOTW - dvr and ice cream.
