My two biggest things: knitting and natural fibers/dyes, and woodworking. Both obsessions came from my childhood. My dad was always building something in his shop, and although I never took interest in the hobby cars my siblings loved, I love his woodworking tools. He taught me to use them when I was pretty little.
My mom has always been into fiber arts (basket weaving, sewing, etc.) and she taught me how to knit when I was little, but I wasn't really into it. I did love the sheep and spinning the wool though. When I got older, I re-learned how to knit, and now I do it whenever I have down time. I always have my knitting bag with me.

I nerd out on organizing. I'm very type A and LOVE to organize. I actually looked into starting a professional organizing business with a friend. It wasn't in the cards for me at the time, but she pursued it and is doing really well! Mainly, it's about taking a mess and making it beautiful; making hard decisions (i.e. throwing things out); and maximizing space.
I'm currently gearing up to renovate my home office and can't wait. MH was talking about closet organizers the other day and I was waaaay too excited about the ideas he was throwing out LOL
Organizing is my love language.

oldbaylover1024, I love to organize but I'm the worst at maintaining it. I do really want new closet organizers though. All of our closets have the builder standard shelf and pole.

hawkward - We redid our master closets with closet organizers. The dream is a walk-in, but that involves demo and reconstruction that isn't in the budget anytime soon. We did it all ourselves using the Closet.maid organizing system at Ho.me De.pot. I love it and it was easy to figure out (MH is good with maths LOL)! We really maximized the space and it looks professional. Would recommend.

I crochet and love it. I love using a variety of yarns. Right now I'm making chunky blankets for Christmas.
I love cooking and baking. I'm always trying out new recipes and they have to be gluten free due to celiac disease.
I like crafting in general. I make melted shape crayons, ornaments, etc. I just wish I had space for a craft room!

Organizing is my love language. DH and I are re-reading Gary Chap.man's Love Languages book and I can just picture this in there! hawkward I love how both your passions were inspired by your parents. wickedcandy That sounds very involved. Do you make handmade scrapbooking-type cards? Or a particular art form? enchanted I've been so happy to find make time to read lately! What do you like to read? skategirl128 Loving to bake but needing to do gluten-free must be a challenge, I'm glad that you are passionate about it! menrandes What in the world are primitive skills? Like, survival skills? Is that something you do on your own or with family?

I read pretty much all the time I can - daily Bible reading (Genesis, Acts, and Philippians at the moment), sci-fi novels (currently Ancillary Justice), classic lit when the mood strikes (next on deck - The Old Man and the Pearl with DH since he expressed interest in it, then a re-read of either Moby Dick or Dante's Inferno), relationship books (just got married, so we've got a stack and read aloud about a chapter a night). Most recently, a CBT self-help workbook for the depression that crept in with the transition of being a wife again - it sucked last time around so even though this marriage is great I'm struggling with past traumas - and the stress of TTC again.

I feel like I nerd out on everything. Crafts, reading, writing, music, shows/movies, drawing, playing video games, baking/cooking, board/card/roleplaying games, languages. The list is seriously endless; I'll try anything and usually get super into it until I get hooked on the next thing, hahaha.

This inspired me to finally get back in my workshop (aka garage) and make the blocks I've been planning for years.
