Can we start a petition to abolish daylight savings time? We don't really need it anymore, right?
5:00am was far too early for this sick mama to be up with DD. I made her lay in bed with us for about 45 mins but there was no extra sleeping so I gave up.
We need to take DD to her flu shot appointment this morning at 9:30. Hopefully she handles it better than last year.
It's going to be a long day....

We're going to paint ornaments today with my niece and nephew. DS is excited. We both slept in today- we really needed the sleep though.

Yea I don't even understand daylight savings time, like what the heck is the point? DS woke up at like 1:45 which I guess was really 2:45 new time & thought it was the morning again/had all the lights on & said he didn't want to go back to sleep. Idk what the heck is going on with him. Luckily we shut that down this time & he fell back to sleep. I don't know what has him confused or is waking him up, nothing has changed or anything & he's not waking up from a nightmare or anything, he's just waking up thinking it's the morning. Oofah.

Hope you feel better misspeansmama, and your LO does too @chair. I'll sign the petition. DST sucks and is unnecessary in the modern world. Although, DH let me sleep in until 9:30 new time. This weekend is all about winterizing/cleaning the house for us. It's the one weekend since Labor Day that we haven't had plans, and November and December are already filling up.

I just sucked a popcorn kernel out of DDS nose with a nose frida. FML. I swear kids are so hard to keep alive sometimes. I'm on board with getting rid of daylight savings time. Although I prefer to be permanently sprung ahead. Yikes!

DS went for his flu shot yesterday after swimming. He only cried for a second & was mostly upset because he told the nurse to wait a second & she didn't. Later, he told us he wanted to take a couple "belly breaths" beforehand & that's why he wanted her to wait. It was too cute. It's so weird being at this stage of him being so expressive & having all these thoughts, etc but it's done now & he was fine. I luckily had a butterscotch candy in my purse to distract him & afterwards we went to the Home Depot workshop so all was well.

NamasteBirches , DD vocalizing what she wants has been so interesting. It’s really cool to hear her tell me what hurts and when she feels better. what workshop did you go to? I want to put laminate floor in our mudroom and entryway into the main house. H and I will definitely need a workshop. oops I meant the kids workshop We put down laminate flooring in our first house's dining room & formal living room. Once you get a rhythm down, it gets pretty easygoing once you've done it enough.

We basically had to hold DD down yesterday when she got hers. She was freaking out beforehand. Once the nurse (who was super quick once we got her sleeve up) gave her the shot, she cried for like a second. The anticipation for her was far worse. I wasn't going to tell her she was going to get her shot, but last year she was so angry and upset that I didn't tell her ahead of time, I figured I probably should tell her. Next year...not going to say a thing to her about it.
