I’m 9dpo here and just chilling. Monitoring appt last week showed a thinner than preferred lining and maybe two cysts or something in the uterus. I scheduled an ultrasound for early next cycle to get a closer look at the uterus. In the interim, just kicking it on Femara for probably one or two more rounds until we see the RE in January.

Well, I just got my period today so no luck with some good ole fashioned sex. We close on our house Tuesday though, so I guess I could call my RE tomorrow. We'll see what tomorrow brings.

westiemom - I hope your next ultrasound shows everything is fine! Sometimes cysts resolve on their own, right? mnj05 - I'm sorry your natural cycle didn't work but good luck with the RE! supermorena - good luck tomorrow! So did you resist and not POAS? Are you on progesterone supplements? If not, I'd say lack of period sounds like a good sign to me. AFM: {Spoiler}Beta is Wednesday from my FET, but I've been getting BFPs on the tests since 6dp5dt. The second line started off as a true squinter and is still much much fainter than I would like. I know HPTs are not quantitative, but it's still hard not to worry that it's not darkening up.
I'm SUPER excited that the embryo appears to have implanted, but I'm also trying really hard not to get my hopes up since it's still so early and anything could happen.

Good luck supermorena! Wow, moto, I am so so thrilled! Best of luck with betas! westiemom, I think I must be about 10 dpo too, so we both have a few days before we know ... sigh mnj05, good luck with the house sale and your RE. I am chilling in my luteal phase, and I am meeting a new RE today with a local Shady Grove Branch. I have been curious about them for a while, and I figured it is worth for me to go check them out before we move on with IVF in earnest next month or in January.

Ugh, so now I am kind of torn on how to choose a place to cycle at in a couple of months. I like both doctors, they both have great reviews, and success rates of the clinics (pretty meaningless to big with) are comparable. One is significantly closer for monitoring appointments, has free parking, and just generally is a smaller place without the constant flow at the other place. Advice?

Congrats scrang ! twohopes - closer monitoring appointments and free parking sound awesome to me. I go to Shady Grove, which I suspect is your other option. Personally I like that it's huge and serves a ton of people... I feel like there is safety in numbers or something. With so many cycles I tell myself they must know what they are doing and they can quickly learn about trends. But they were basically my only choice that was local so that's probably just me justifying it to myself. ETA: I thought of more pros of a large clinic... they don't batch, so the timing only depends on you and your cycle. They are open every single day so you don't have to miss monitoring because it's a weekend or holiday. (I once had an IUI on Christmas morning, ug) And they have an after-hours hotline you can call if you ever have any questions. But... maybe your smaller clinic does all that too, and it sure would be annoying to pay for parking!

moto , my "smaller" clinic is .. Shady Grove . They just have a convenient suburban office to me, where it is literally just one doc and I liked him quite a bit. Weekend monitoring is still available at an office that is about 20 minutes away, and the after hours and all that is available. That location is their larger area location; the doctor there is also amazing, according to reviews and testimonials from friends (even someone from this board!). The larger clinic is the one with parking issues, because it is smack right in the middle of Center City Philadelphia; it is a local affiliate of RMA. It is easily a 40 min drive, then 20 minutes to park in a paid garage and walk to appointment. I liked the doctor there, but the office is so large that the nurse line is never available, I always talk to a messaging service, and the waiting room is generally really busy. ETA: for both clinic, their surgery center is actually not in their offices, so ER and I assume perhaps transfer is always done at that location, unless they shuttle embryos around? These surgery centers are where you'd also go for weekend monitoring. They are actually extremely close to each other. I suppose with the city office, I could do a lot of my monitoring at their suburban surgery center, but that's still further than where SG's daily monitoring would be.

twohopes - then if I were you I'd go with SG! I'm not in PA, but in my area SG is the big huge clinic in town. I'm sure your smaller SG benefits from the research they get from having so many cycles in other areas. Yes - I bet ER and transfer are in the same place, I doubt they'd want to move embryos around. Where I am I go to a local clinic for all my monitoring (four doctors, so not quite as small as yours), but weekend/holiday/surgical stuff is at the bigger clinic just a little farther away. Sounds like the same set-up you have. So my regular RE didn't do my retrieval or transfer, but I was fine with that. When I did IVF I had a ton of monitoring appointments but was trying not to let it affect my job, so convenience was important to me. (not more important than success, of course, but it sounds like the clinics are comparable there)

twohopes -I would go with SG for the convenience factor. Parking can get expensive quickly. I did a consultation there after my 1st IVF cycle failed and the RE was really nice and she had the same protocol as my RE did, which was really assuring. I ended up staying with my RE because it was the same protocol and so much closer than SG which was an hour away on a good day (as you know that traffic can be a *itch in the philly region).

I'm sorry supermorena Have you gotten pregnant with an IUI before? I hear that means there's a good chance it'll work again. Here's hoping that round 2 is the one.

Beta came back: It's only 118. I'm worried - I feel like that's really low for 13dp5dt. My nurse just said "we like to see it above 100" so according to her it's fine. I'm trying to trust her, but I'm worried. Repeat beta is on Friday.

Apologies if I miss anyone--I'm on my phone, and I'm super sick. westiemom, I hope the u/s report is reassuring. supermorena, I'm sorry. BFNs are so disappointing. FX for round 2! mnj05, ugh, sorry about CD1. Congrats on the closing, though! moto, FX for rising betas! If your clinic is happy, it sounds positive to me! scrang, yay!!! H&h nine months! twohopes, I agree with moto--SG sounds like a lot less aggravation. FX! crazycatlady6, Hi! Good luck with your upcoming transfer. AFM: *****loss mentioned****** 1st u/s showed a gestational sac of an appropriate size and in the right place. Then the hpts I kept taking like the obsessive I am started getting lighter, and second u/s yesterday showed...nothing at all. I'm ok with it. We wanted to give our embryo a chance, but I knew this was likely, and DH and I both feel like our family is complete. I'm kind of glad I got the news on Halloween, because I spent the day doing fun stuff with our daughters, which made it hard to be anything but grateful for what we have. Anyway, we're definitely done TTC, so I guess you can take me off the checkin, too, but I'm rooting for all of you. Good luck!
