So, do we want to continue with Ted Bundy or move on to a new topic? Suggestions for the next topic? I'm interested in the Green River Killer since Bundy helped catch him.

If you look down at the In Print section, books about TGRK are listed and one is by the profiler that worked with Bundy. Another one is by Ann Rule. Didn't she write about Bundy too?

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Yes, she wrote the book The Stranger Beside Me. She was the only person he would talk to (for a while) when he was in prison. She met him working at a suicide help line. They sat next to each other answering phone calls. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I always wonder what the ratio is of lives that Bundy saved at the hotline to those he took by murder. Not that life is a set of scales but it's just interesting

Oh I love these threads! I'll have to check back in later because I'm in a work conference all day.
Personally, I'd like to do some of the more "lesser known" cases, like Fred and Rosemary West or something.

One thing I remember from Rule's book is that when he was younger (like elementary school) his aunt woke up from a nap with all of the kitchen knives around her & Ted was standing there smiling at her.
Creepy AF.

Hello fellow murderinos. I never did get to read the Bundy thread on parenting. His Wikipedia page tells a lot and there was an AMA on Reddit with the psychologist that worked with him once he was in prison. I'll try to remember the super creepy things I read. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

There is some suspicion that Ted's grandfather was also his father.

True story:
Once upon a time I worked at a call center. One day, said call center was slow so I was on wiki, looking up weird shit, as per. I spiraled on serial killers, ending on leatherface. It's been 2 hour since my last call, I've been readIng about killers since then. Phone rings, I pick it up
Me: thank you for calling............ how may I help you?
TOTALLY DISJOINTED VOICE: can you help me??
*runs screaming from cube**

Ted suffered a head injury which is thought to be associated with violent behavior. He also supposedly let several women go when they told him they were mothers.

He entered the sorority house through a side door that was propped open. That's why my dorm was so super serious about propping doors open.

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk I can't remember but I know that BTK, Richard Ramirez, Fred West, and John Wayne Gacy all had head injuries as well.

I wonder the same thing about Paul and Karla Homolka Isn't that what the defense used as one of their arguments? I haven't read up on that case in a while but for some reason I thought that was something the defense clung to. I can potentially see it. I'm so conflicted on if that gives them a pass or not though.
