...similar to the Bradley Method?
DH is not interested in spending several hundred $ to take the "local"(hour+ drive) Bradley birthing classes. I'm looking into an online alternative, but I don't think any certified Bradley instructors do anything online.
Does anyone have recommendations for online birthing classes? I really like how the Bradley Method teaches the partner to be very involved.
TIA

Having only been through one birth, I found myself to really not wanting anything to do with my stupid husband who got to eat a sandwich and rest and not be in pain. I just wanted to get through it and listen to the nurses. I am also pro-epidural, so I didn't bother with Bradley. Just learned the basics from some in-person classes and the rest isn't really up to you once you get to the hospital. Have you looked into Hypnobabies? My crunchy friends used it: www.hypnobabies.com/hypnobabies-self-study-course/

I used Hypnobabies with all three of mine and loved it! I had 1 without epidural, 1 with, and 1 with epidural, and vacuum, and a zillion hrs long, and he was 10 pounds and my first. For all the births I think it helped. There is a part for partners in it too.

We did the Bradley method and LOVED it. I had a 39 hour labour, 12 on pitocin, 3 hours of pushing, pain med free. For me/us Bradley was amazing. If you can’t do the whole course you could at least read some of the books? Husband coached childbirth was the main one and there is another called giving birth the Bradley way (or something like that). There is a workbook we went through in the course and I don’t know if you can get that on your own or not but the books would be a good start!

Yes I think our compromise is to read "husband coached childbirth" together and attend the one day free class at my OB office. I was too cheap to buy the workbook tho lol.
