We had a happy hour in our office last week and I guess they put the few leftovers beers in the fridge.
I came *THISCLOSE* to popping open one yesterday at like 9am before I realized a Shandy was alcoholic.

cornpop I craved beer with my second. I would steal sips... and once I was in the third tri, I would enjoy one every so often. YUM. polson what's yours is yours, and his is yours, too. Sounds like a successful shopping 'trip' to me! AAFM -- I have an OB initial visit with sono scheduled for 9/14 with my old ob (the same obs who delivered my other kids). I've decided to move to another practice this go around, but I haven't canceled the appointment for next week yet. DO I keep it? I get an ultrasound which would be quite reassuring.. {Trigger Warning}I'll be 8W3D which is around the time of when we learned we lost our second pregnancy - it was a missed m/c so baby was measuring just shy of 7w.. If I go, I just won't schedule other appointments there.. thoughts? WWMA18D?

cornpop yeah I dunno. People change during OB care frequently? I would think they would just bill it, and my insurance would pay it? Or I pay it? polson I do kind of feel weird, but they gave me such a hard time when I called asking for early monitoring (which they declined). It's not with an OB -- just a NP.. I have until Wednesday to cancel it.. so maybe I just make a decision then?

It's 11 and I'm still in bed. That probably qualifies as confession worthy. I was awake for an hour during the night, but still.

When H (age 3.75) has a big messy poop (still in diapers, obvs), I do a basic clean up and then make him get in the shower and finish cleaning. I am too nauseated to be dealing with this shit. Literally.
Yes, it takes forever.

I haven't made dinner in two weeks, so DH had to fend for himself and DD. I'm pretty sure they've had either fish sticks or chicken nuggets every night. That's about the level of cooking that DH can do.

yianna since you've already been to the new OB, can you call them back and ask for an us next week? Due to your history? The place I'm going to says for "discretionary" us where you just want to have a look at the baby the insurance won't pay for it, but the office will just charge you $100.

He always starts going in his underwear before he tells he has to go.

Yeah, you'd think we're the last ones on the planet, but I suspect that non-PTed(or non fully PTed) 4yos are more common than people would lead us to believe. Damn social media!

I just prepped a red wine braised piece of beef, and I'm totally gonna have a little wine with dinner tonight. Mh and I are going to Morocco and Barcelona in about a week and I'm definitely going to drink a little wine when we are there. A small confession from that is I was a little bummed when I got pregnant because of this trip. We are leaving my kid at home and I was looking forward to lots of wine and some good food and fun experiences. I'm sure it will be fun we've just had to change up a few things we were planning on doing. *I am very grateful for this pregnancy as it took over 2 years to get my DD but it was unexpected and we were not planning on trying until September.

cp3 i could have written that...we are going to portugal at the end of this month. yes, of course i'm excited and thankful that i am pregnant, but i won't lie and say that i'm not bummed that i won't be able to eat and drink what i want to on our childless getaway. i plan on indulging in plenty of desserts and pastries though. and i will try to sleep past 6 am.

I'm going to Las Vegas next month for what is apparently a pretty boozy conference. I'd be lying if I didn't feel the sliiiughtest twinge of regret - especially bc DH was supposed to come for the parties and some fun outdoor stuff. I'd rather be pregnant but it would have been a decent consolation prize if not.

I think this is probably a thinly veiled UO and not a confession but oh well.
We've been watching Friends from College because all of our shows our still off. I really want to like it, I love Cobie Smulders. But the main storyline glamorizes a long term affair and it really bothers me.
I always thought that Mistresses show was awful for the same reason.

I'm sure there was some grilled cheese and soup at one point too. Oh well.

Very late, gross FFSC: I'm have a semi-serious, extremely irrational fear that if I push too hard while pooping, I'll push the baby out. I KNOW that can't happen but damn if it doesn't briefly cross my mind every time I'm really constipated.

Oh nothing in a vacuum. But when it's like twice a week for four weeks, the kids gets a little tired of it. Luckily MH branched out and made them cheese quesadillas and soup this week. Which is totally different.

I have a late one.
It's no secret to our close friends and family that we really, really want a girl. I'm starting to feel really guilty and dumb that we've made those comments, because it goes without saying that we will be thrilled for this LO no matter what. But I know if we find out it's another boy, they'll probably ask if we're disappointed or say something like "go for #3!". At the very least, they'll know it wasn't what we said we were hoping for.
It's one of those hindsight things where I should have known better about saying things like that.

katietopaz My SIL is expecting a boy in December. We all knew she badly wanted a girl, she hadn't made a big thing of it, but we knew. I really like what she said when they told us. "I'm disappointed it's not a girl, but I'm NOT disappointed that it is a boy."

"I'm disappointed it's not a girl, but I'm NOT disappointed that it is a boy." This is exactly where I'm at. I'd love to have two girls, but that doesn't mean I'd be sad if I have a boy this time. I like being team green bc I know that any slight preference I have will be 100% washed away by a snuggly newborn.
