This was the best thread in my last BMB. I asked a lot of ridiculous/legit questions like: - can I wear a seatbelt normally with a big belly (yes) - what to do about nausea - when to talk to my boss - how do I politely decline my MIL's offer to live with us for a month after baby
Ask away!

The internet says lemon is safe to use with stainless steel so you should be good:) I have always put lemon in mine with no issues.

I had something weird happen with a stainless steel pot one time so I'm nervous I guess. Thanks!

Umm is zero 0 0 sex drive normal? ? ? I think either extreme is perfectly normal. Last time I had a pretty normal sex drive, although I was feeling so sick so it didn't happen often. Then after my pregnancy my sex drive went to less than 0. This pregnancy my sex drive has actually been in overdrive. Like better than before my first pregnancy. It's the first thing about pregnancy that's working out for me this time!

+1 to even lower drive after pregnancy! nursing really messes with hormones too. YES. Here's a 1(no drive) to 10 (everyday, twice on Sunday) scale Prepregnancy, on BC: 4 Prepregnancy off birthcontrol: 7 First tri: 2 Second tri: 9+ Third tri: 5-7 Immediately before due date: 10+ but really for practical, labor inducing purposes only 😂 After birth, newly cleared: 8 Once the novelty wore off: 4 After nursing: 7+

Unfortunately I don't think I hit a 7 when I went off bc, but hopefully the rest will work the same for me! Lol

Umm is zero 0 0 sex drive normal? ? ? Totally normal. I also did not get it back in second tri like some people do or you are "supposed to" which was fine for us. H was a little weirded out by my belly anyways. PP was even worse. I didn't get any sex drive back until like 8 months PP and sex honestly felt weird until around 6 months PP (even though I had a C Section. I got my period back around 9 months PP so I think that was probably related to the sex drive.

Thanks everyone, at least it's normal. We're on vacation and DH is not impressed. 😪 Well I can't say I am either.

Ovia mentioned pregnancy safe sunscreen. What?!? I can't use regular sunscreen? Psh. Sounds like bologna to me. My Ob has never mentioned that. I'm sure it's promoted by the Honest Company or something. ETA I think maybe retinol is a no, but I don't know that it would be in sunscreen...

Ovia mentioned pregnancy safe sunscreen. What?!? I can't use regular sunscreen? I never heard of this and DD was born in the middle of July. Granted towards the end I really wasn't wanting to be out in 90+ degree heat. But when I did go out,I just used regular sunscreen. Hope you are enjoying your vacation.

Ovia mentioned pregnancy safe sunscreen. What?!? I can't use regular sunscreen? I use mineral based sunscreen (Thinkbaby brand) normally, is that what they mean by 'pregnancy safe'?

babybean I'm assuming so. We have switched over to all more natural sunscreens bc of our kids so this is what I use too. I think some of the ingredients in the more common ones like Coppertone and Water Babies are considered hormone disrupters. I can't claim to be an expert on this though, it's my husband's hill, but I think they are probably better for everyone, not just us pregnant gals. We use ThinkBaby and Babyganics.

Yes it's mineral based that you are supposed to use. I honestly don't know how serious this is... Baby sunscreens are usually mineral sunscreens as well. I was pretty strict with this last time, this time I haven't had a lot of sun occasions to use it, but I usually wear what I put on LO anyways. I will say reading about this last time led me down a rabbit hole of OMG the chemicals in everything!!! that finally ended bc I just could not part with my deodorant. After that I calmed down

jewel - I went down the chemical free rabbit hole with DD1 and never went back. As a person who would always describe myself as an excessive sweater, I was really surprised by how well natural deodorants worked for me. There are a ton out there and you have to experiment until you find ones that work best with your body. My faves are the Crystal Essence mineral salt stone, Crystal Essence mineral salt spray, and a brand called Primal Pit Paste (lol). Edit to fix tag, oops!
