I don't either. I have been terrible about posting lately. I will say that I found a fun park yesterday to take DS to. We went yesterday morning and even walked a little on a trail. I think we might try next week and I will have to wear proper shoes and bring some water. I was not very prepared yesterday.

I don't have much to say either. I'm still in Debbie downer mode because my leg is still in a lot of pain.
On the plus side, I have noticed an improvement in the swelling today, and I've been able to spend more time on my feet, so FX I continue to see improvement.

I scheduled our Sibling Class at the hospital I'm delivering at. They only offer it every other month so my options were late Aug or mid Oct. Even with the shot, I'm still very nervous about delivering early, so August it is! It should be really cute.

Morning! I forgot it was Monday today, hehe. Just waiting for my baked oatmeal to cook.
I think today we'll head out for a hike. Not like up a mountain or anything, but a flatter hike. I'll try to take some photos for you guys, it's one of the prettiest places around here. The sky has been pretty hazy lately from forest fires though and just looks kinda of overcast, so maybe not the best for pics!
I will likely have to promise dh ice cream and other treats in order to get him to go though. And then we'll go and he'll say something like "why didn't we pack more snacks so we could keep going further?" He always takes convincing and then ends up loving it. It's like a kid with swimming lessons haha.

I'm glad you're showing signs of improvement bethkate, don't overdo it That sounds super cute AnnPerkins! 😊 I'm definitely not going to push myself too hard, but the doctors want me to stay as active as possible to lessen the risk for more clots, so the more time I spend moving, the better.

I think my previous hospital did this but I haven't looked at my current one.

I forgot it was Monday too blabbermouth! I've been organizing everything in the house. I love nesting. It's so much fun haha (I'm pathetic, I know). I organized the medicine cabinet this morning. But.... I still haven't done anything to get ready for this baby yet.

Sigh. Work is ... not great. Some serious ethical boundaries are being crossed and all of my red flags are up. I'm just trying to hang in there til mat leave.
On another note, we cleaned almost the whole house yesterday and it feels amazing. We moved a couple of DS' big toys that he doesn't use so now our family room looks massive. I slept like crap and it's overcast today so I'm gonna try not to fall asleep at work.
I've been having a decent number of BH that are relatively uncomfortable. So I guess I should bring that up to my ob. I so do not want the irritable uterus path again. My stomach feels like it physically cannot stretch anymore so that's definitely part of it.

grumpycat I've been having some serious BH too. Every time I bend over I get a pretty strong one. Even woke up a couple times from them. I've never gotten them this much this early.

Hi everyone... I'm really going to try to keep up here. Things are a little crazy here... we've lived in our house for almost 7 years (our lease is up 11/30). I just asked the landlords to let us out a month or 2 early without penalty and I'm waiting for their decision. I do not want to move 2 weeks postpartum. We need to downsize and cutback on expenses. We'll likely move into an apartment for 6 months and then relocate. We were originally planning to move to New Hampshire, but that may have changed. We're looking into moving to Belize. It's a country we both love, English is their primary language and there are a lit of expat communities we can live in. We found a house on a Lagoon for $700 USD a month and it includes all utilities. The owner is looking for someone to move in 4/1, but he said he'd be okay with us moving 5/1. $400 deposit... so if we change our mind, it's not a ton of money to lose. My biggest concern is that H and I haven't been in a very good place for the last 9 months... this past month or so has been better. It's my decision, he wants to go, but obviously can't without me. I kind of want to try it for 6 months and see how things go.

+1 to not having much to say. I had a meeting this morning that I rushed out of the house for. Of course the lady was late so all the rushing was pointless but at least I made it.
I wish our hospital had sibling classes. Maybe I can find a book or something for DD to help prepare her.

mrspiatt, thanks. I was admitted to the hospital for a DVT in my thigh and groin last Tuesday. I've been home since Thursday night on a higher dose of blood thinners, but I'm still in quite a bit of pain.

I need to schedule my hospital visits... I still don't know where I'm delivering, our insurance changes, so I won't be at the same hospital as when DD2 was born. Only 1 of the 2 I need to check allows VBACs, but I'm not even sure I'm a candidate. So much to figure out...

mrspiatt, that sounds like a hard choice. I agree it's not a ton of money to lose but I'm sure it's scary to think of moving when your struggling. Is there a deadline for when you need decide? Fingers crossed your current landlord lets you out early. Big fat no to moving 2 weeks postpartum.

bubbles... unless I give a hard no, we'll make the deposit next month. I like everything about this place, it's a 3 bedroom in a gated community... we know what all of our basic expenses will be and that's comforting to me. The owner of the house lives in Canada, but it's been so easy to verify him and the house. He loves Belize and this will be his retirement home. He's had a couple articles written about him (I'm guessing because of his enthusiasm). We're more nervous to move there and realize we've been scammed, so that's another plus side to this house. Plus it's on a Lagoon where we can fish and the owner has kayaks and snorkeling gear for us to use. It's a fully furnished house, so we'd sell everything, pack up one of our cars and a cargo trailer and drive down over the course of 2-3 weeks. (It's 47 hours of drive time, but we stop for a day or 2 and limit our driving so it's not too much for DD2 (she just turned 2) and Jack who will only be 6 months old. As for the upcoming move... I'm going to start selling stuff now and packing anything I can... that way I can stress a little less if they don't let us out early. We've been good tenants and we've lived here almost as long as they've owned the house. I hope they're consider that.

I'm 27 weeks today and feeling it! Both girls are measuring big and have high fluid, so the high risk team is preparing me for the fact I may deliver even earlier than expected (37 weeks). I hope to avoid this as the other hospital is in a different town 90 minutes away, but it's the closest NICU. I can't imagine being torn between my big ones and my twins.
In other news, DD starts K next week!! 😩

bethkate I'm glad the swelling is starting to go down, I hope it continues to improve! mrspiatt it sounds like you have a lot of tough decisions to make soon, good luck working through everything. Talk to me about baby classes. We'll take the hospital tour, my neighbor suggested a breastfeeding class that she found helpful, and I want to take infant CPR. What else was good, what was a waste of time? I see an infant care class and a labor class. H is concerned with being left alone with the baby b/c he's never changed a diaper, do we take infant care or do I wait because I feel he'll step up to the challenge and the nurses will help him before we leave the hospital? I want him to feel confident but I also don't want to leave the class feeling like it was a waste of time. I've read up on labor and delivery and have some idea as to what to expect, he knows what he's seen in movies So again do we take the class so he'll have a better idea or do I just give him the cliff notes about what I know?

grumpycat sorry you're dealing with crap at work. That blows. Are you able to report what's going on or no? mrspiatt Belize sounds lovely! I'm adventurous so I say go for it! Obviously maybe have a conversation first that you are both very clear that after a certain time frame if it's not working and xyz hasn't happened/been met you'll move back state side.

But.... I still haven't done anything to get ready for this baby yet. Want to come organize my spices? The cabinet I have them in isn't big enough so they're just rolling around and tossed in there all willy nilly. But I have to do some rearranging of cabinets to move them and it's too much work. I'd rather just get mad every time I open the cabinet and can't find anything and everything falls out. Because, yeah.

laurensc927- I'd say skip the classes... if he is nervous about the diaper thing, open a pack and let him practice with one. On a roll, a rolled up t-shirt, anything really. As for the L&D- I think cliff notes is fine. As long as you feel prepared, that's most important. He can take his queues from you. Obviously just my opinion and others may definitely feel differently.

Laundry and cleaning today. I've folded so much laundry. And now dreading putting it away.
That's all I got today. I'm way too tired to think.
Happy Monday!

Definitely add me to the ridiculous BH club too. I've had a bunch that have woken me up at night or stopped me from what I'm doing during the day. It's super annoying. I'm really crabby that my uterus can't just calm it's tits.

laurensc927, we didn't take any classes. The nurses showed us how to do everything and I talked DH through his first diaper change. I'd say practice swaddling on a stuffed animal. There's definitely a trick to it, but those sleep sacks are awesome so if you just use those, you don't really need to know how to swaddle. I'd recommend a breastfeeding class. Again, I didn't take one, but I wish I had with my first. I had decent nurses and met with two lactation consultants while in the hospital. We still had issues latching (that 4th day when your milk comes in is not pleasant for all parties) so I ended up pumping/supplementing then using formula. RE: L&D, nothing would have prepared my husband lmao. He survived but is not looking forward to being present again, especially now that he is more familiar with it all. He stayed up by my head and I saw far more than he did. I think he struggled with how much pain I was in and freaked out a little when they put the O2 mask on me. quinn and cnf sorry about the irritable uteri. It's an annoying club to be in. mrspiatt, I am enjoying your signature.
