How far along are you? EDD?38w4d - August 17 How are you feeling physically and emotionally?P: For a week orso now I've been retaining water like crazy. My feet and ankles swollen like whoa and I simply don't regocnize those elephant feet and sausage toes that apperently are attached to me. It hurts to walk sometimes. My hands&fingers are swollen as well and sometimes it hurts to bend my fingers as well. In the mornings I can't even pick up anything for a while. And my face is all puffy which won't go away? I was already feeling whalish but now I am also starting to look like one. Add in the general discomfort of having a 38wk bump, and you get my drift. E: I worry a lot about whether baby still is having a good time inside my bump and if she ain't whether she'll let me know properly. I hadn't ever expected those last weeks to be this hard on me emotionally - tis almost as bad as first trimester or maybe worse? I just want baby in my arms, of course we'll still worry but it feels we'll at least have a bit more 'control' over or at least insight in things then?? I feel baby move throughout the day but my brain is messing with me and I do swear that she's less active as she was before BUT then again, she's also running out of room.. and I do feel movement at different times of day so.. I just don't know! Any upcoming appointments or milestones?Ahh my due date is coming up in 10 days which feels like a megafriggin huge milestone haha!! Babygirl doesn't necessarily have to wait till the 17th though.. she's welcome any day now Also, MFM appointment tomorrow. Any other word vomit to share?I gained over 7lbs in a week time.. am totally WTF about that and hate seeing the number on the scale now. Must be fluidretention cause with as little stomach room I have left and the relux/heartburn and mild nausea of these past weeks tis not like I've been eating to warrant this weightgain. On Friday I woke up with a killer headache and it's lingered around in a milder version since. Had some serious visual disturbances on Friday as well, but chalked it all up to having been too busy for a few days. Then my mum consulted Dr Google, and my sister (a GP herself) visited on Saturday - and they both freaked me out about this possibly being symptoms of HELLP and how this could impact the baby etc. However, my BP is fine?? It's a little higher then it's been all of this pregnancy but still in normal range. Apperently a small percentage of cases of HELLP present without high bloodpressure? So yeah I'm a little freaked the F out (but trying to reign it in and staying cool heh). I'm seeing the MFM tomorrow so will ask him to check my urine though MH&I are debating whether to call L&D today already for advice in case the headache persists and the twinkles in my vision return.

I'm 27+2 today. EDD is 11/4, but this is likely to be an October baby. *XP from PAIF* Warning: word vomit... Shit got crazy last week. I woke up Tuesday morning with pain in my thigh and groin area and my left leg started to swell. I was already headed to the hospital for rhogam and my glucose test, so I talked to my ob who was in L&D when I got the rhogam and went to the ER. An u/s of my leg showed a significant DVT from my thigh up past my groin area. I have FVL, am monitored by a hematologist, and was on 40mg of lovenox daily since January, but I guess it wasn't enough.
I was admitted to the hospital and spent just over 48 hours on a therapeutic dose of heparin through IV. They won't operate or use the "clot busting" meds because of the pregnancy. Baby seems totally fine. I was discharged Thursday afternoon, and now I'm on 70mg of lovenox twice daily. The plan is that I'll be admitted to a hospital that specializes in high risk pregnancy/delivery at 38 weeks to get me off of the lovenox and onto a heparin drip until delivery. I'll be seeing an MFM and have lots of questions about that to ask (like, is the plan to have me in the hospital for two weeks or will they induce early?)
I'm still sore and swollen, so it sucks, but I'm dealing the best I can and trying to stay positive. I'm seeing my hematologist on Wednesday and my ob on Friday (with an u/s), so I should have a better idea of the plan for monitoring that the have going forward.

How far along are you? EDD? 16w1d, Jan 21st
How are you feeling physically and emotionally? Physically doing pretty darn good. I get headaches, but the nausea seems to finally left and I'm not so tired I want to die. So that's nice. Emotionally I have no idea. We went public on Friday and then I had a dream about having a D&C and now I'm worried everything is going to come crashing down.
Any upcoming appointments or milestones? Next appointment is Aug 18th, just a basic OB Appt.
Any other word vomit to share? Pretty much above. I just keep thinking about losing this baby now. Trying to remain positive and keep looking forward.

bethkate oh man that sounds terrifying. I'm grateful that my OB believes after 37 weeks if conditions aren't favorable it's much safer for baby to be out than in. I don't understand why if you were having issues they wouldn't want to just induce early. Hope everything goes ok and you get some more answers soon.

It's just going to be a timing game to figure out when to take me off the lovenox to put me on the heparin, which I have to be on for at least a few days in the hospital before they'll induce.

muscari I think the end of pregnancy can cause just as much worries as the beginning. Lots of hugs. I ended up in L&D wirh my DD1 in tears and hyperventilating because I thought she wasnt moving enough. She was obviously okay, but what a MF. Get checked if you need too or suspect anything. Sorry about the swelling too. Hang in there. She'll be in your arms soon!

How far along are you? EDD? 20w2d, 23/12.
How are you feeling physically and emotionally? Physically fine, my tailbone keeps getting sore, but otherwise ok. I'm starting to have a little bump though I can still wear all my normal stuff apart from low waisted jeans.
Emotionally - I'm anxious about the anatomy scan. I'm scared there will be something wrong. We're due to leave on holidays 4 days after the scan and I've now convinced myself we'll have to cancel to have more tests.
Any upcoming appointments or milestones? I'm halfway! Appointment next week, and AS the week after that.
Any other word vomit to share? See above.

misspatty I had restless legs so bad with my last pregnancy. I swear I paced miles in the house because I couldn't sit still. Sometimes a warm bath before bed would help, sometimes not.

How far along are you? EDD? 24w today! 11/28
How are you feeling physically and emotionally?
Today marks viability day! But it is also my loss EDD. It's crazy that those two line up exactly, but it's also helping me process I think. Baby is giving me lots and lots of reassuring kicks today. I am sad that I could be holding a baby in my arms but am so grateful for the baby I'm growing. I think today would be a lot harder if I didn't have this rainbow.
Any upcoming appointments or milestones? Thursday for a routine check.
Any other word vomit to share? Nope

muscari have you been to the dr yet? If not i think it's a good idea to go to l&d asap. My friend presented with the same symptoms and no high bp and it was HELLP. Im not trying to alarm you but i think you should get checked. She and baby are fine (well now 5 yr old).

@littlecavbage1019 yes I have seen the dr! Thanks for asking - and the reminder I hadnt updated here yet!
Good news, no protein in my urine so for now they arent worried about pre-e etc! They do want me to keep an eye on my symptoms esp the headaches and visual disturbances and call if there is any change. BP was 130/80 so while higher then it 's been all my pg (110/60) still okay. I do have pregnancy carpal tunnel, which sucks but explains why my hands/fingers hurt so much. And my elephant feet and sausage toes are just a bonus apperently LOL. Joy! Best thing he said was: this all should pass within a cple days after giving birth. 😆
We also were send for an CTG just to double check baby as she'd been so quiet and missed some kickcounts. She did fine of coz 😋😊 - i swear this kid knows exactly when she is monitored.. first 10 mins she was lounging about them suddenly it was a real circus in my bump. Much to grannies delight (as I can't drive a car myself yet and MH couldnt get off work mum accompanied me to the hospital☺).

bethkate, oh man that is scary. I hope everything works out as planned. mattsgirl2004, I have everything crossed that you get good news at your ultrasound! How far along are you? EDD? 29+6, 10/18 but with a RCS scheduled for 9/27 How are you feeling physically and emotionally? Not too bad other than the usual. Hip pain. Constipation. Heartburn is the devil. It will get worse before it gets better I'm sure. I can't complain though, my BP has been fine (had pre-e with my son) and so far this pregnancy has been textbook boring. Any upcoming appointments or milestones? we had a regular OB appt today. we only have 3 more appts left! 2 ultrasounds and one regular OB appt. Shit is getting real. Any other word vomit to share? I'm trying to figure out a job change in the middle of all this which will require us to move to another state. It's a stupidly complicated situation politically. I couldn't even explain it if I tried. But bottom line is while I'm on mat leave I will have to be having some job convos. Nothing is easy.

How far along are you? EDD? 38+4, 8/19
How are you feeling physically and emotionally? P- it comes in waves of feeling sooo over it and feeling okay. My right hip is in almost constant pain and my ankles and feet are swollen all the time. I feel heavy and large and I waddle everywhere.
E- okay. If he's quiet I start to get nervous and start spiraling on cord issues or true knots or unknown stillbirth reasons and then he'll give me a good kick, as if to say "MOOOM, CHILL!" But I can't help it. I'm so excited to meet him but I'm also so scared at being a bad parent. And also really getting nervous about going through labor. And I really, really don't want him born on the 22 or 25, as those are the dates we found out loss baby died and I had my d&c. I hate hate hate the fact that his birthday will be so close to those dates to begin with, so I will do everything I can to not have him born on either of those days.
Any upcoming appointments or milestones? Weekly appt on Thursday. I'm sure it will be as uneventful as the last few weeks.
Any other word vomit to share? Think I did plenty up there. 🤷🏻♀️ I'm frustrated with work because any time off I have I get paid via my benefit time- using up my sick and vacation. I have a spreadsheet tallying how much I accrue each paycheck and how much and how long I can spend on leave. We have 4 of these things called "floating holidays" for 32hrs that are extras given by the hospital since we have to work most national holidays (we get one off in the summer and one off in the winter). I was told by all my coworkers I can use all of them up during my leave. Today, one of the managers came and said I wouldn't be able to use all four because payroll hands them out "once per quarter".... so for July-aug-sept I can use one, then oct/nov/dec another one... etc. so I can only use two- not four- and that cuts my leave short by basically a week because I can't use them until the end and all this crap. And I'm already trying to extend my leave by two weeks so I can be off til after Christmas, and now I may not be able to.... except then why / how did my other coworkers get all four when they were on leave for the same time frame? Smells fishy to me and j don't like it!! 😒

How far along are you? EDD? 21w5d 12/16 How are you feeling physically and emotionally? Doing ok. Lots of kicks lately which is reassuring and then becomes annoying after a bit! Emotionally doing ok. I told some old coworkers this week and it was scary. We still haven't announced to many friends and on FB. Any upcoming appointments or milestones? Nothing until the end of the week since the AS was last week and went well. Any other word vomit to share? At the appt my sr started to talk to me more about vbac vs RCS. Vbac scares me, even though I'm an excellent candidate per him since the reason we did CS was because she was breech and not due to size or labeling. Even though the risk is 0.7% for uterus rupture, it just seems crazy to take any risk with my rainbow. And he did say with timing heparin, a CS is good. Plenty of time, but it still weighs on my mind a lot.

The reason for 36 weeks, which I thought was pretty standard, was in case you go into early labor it will hopefully out of your system within 12 hrs.
