I swear my kid and my dog are conspiring against me. When she sleeps though the night, he doesn't. DD had a good night but I got a 4:00am wake up call from the dog because he wanted to go out.

Oh also, the cauliflower tots worked like a charm! DD devoured them, not even questioning that they might be something different. They were really quite good. I will definitely be buying them again.

Thanks for letting us know. I'll have to try those. My DAD loves tots but is not a fan of veggies. Sent from my XT1635-01 using Tapatalk

DS won the coloring contest from the National Night Out the other night!! He won a backpack filled with school supplies & that thing is so heavy. We might actually be set with supplies. I have to get the list & check things off. He was jumping up & down when DH called me to tell me they called him. He was so excited, we left early before camp to pick it up. He was then saying he wanted to use that backpack for school but I told him out of everything, we already got him a backpack so we can use the one he won for trips or on the weekend when he wants to lug things around. It's a real basic one that I'm sure he wouldn't even like if we were going out shopping for it but because someone gave it to him, he loves it. Lol What's funny is when we went to the event, he was saying he didn't like contests &/or races because he was asking all about what if he doesn't win & we were explaining about how it's okay if you don't win, it's fun to just participate & all that, etc. So he was just super ecstatic that out of all the people that entered, they chose him. It's like his mind was blown.

I'm relaxing at a coffee shop with a muffin and a huge latte. Summer is kicking my butt with needing to organize activities and entertainment every day. The days of DD playing in sand for an hour then taking a long nap are over. I'm grateful she is at the "drop off" age for programs so I can have a few hours to myself every week!

Congratulations to your boy NamasteBirches! I had lunch with my teachers aide. So fun! Now I'm heading to finish my school shopping. DS should be home sometime this evening (unless he stays at my dads tonight). He's had a blast! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Tell me when this mythical playing in sand for an hour age is? At two, DS loves his sandbox, and will happily play in there for an hour, but the whole time its, "mommy play? mommy, make tower!" Last time I asked him for five minutes to write and email, and got a sandy John Deere tractor bulldozed over my lap, lol. I count myself lucky if he plays by himself for like, 15-20 minutes and I can get something done quickly. If it weren't for nap time and a little bit of screen time I would likely never get anything done. And lose my mind.

Today's my Friday, so that is making me happy, we have a really nice weekend planned out ahead of us, topped of with a girl's night out to the Cheesecake Factory. I cannot wait to eat my weight in cheesecake - I should probably start saving my calories, but I'm not. Sorry, waistline.

I really need to clean my kitchen. There's quite a bit of clutter that just doesn't really have a place to go so things easily just get added to the mess. Plus we have like 3 or 4 trash bags full of cans that need to be returned. They opened a bottle drop and got rid of all the return machines at grocery stores, so now we have to make a special trip to return them instead of one of us returning them while the other is shopping. It's dumb.
I also need to clean up the living room a bit, though it stays mostly clean so it shouldn't take more than 5-10 minutes, so I can move one of our tables into the kitchen. My sister is going to be coming over every Saturday for the next 9 weeks to bake cakes.

DS has been in his room for the longest time. I don't even wanna know what's going on in there. I've been enjoying the quiet but I'm a smidge scared. Lololol it's probably just a mess but same old, same old

LED, 9 weeks of baking cakes? What is she baking cakes for? She's baking 35 cakes for $35 for her 35th birthday. She's moving to Kenya in a couple months and trying to make some money since she won't be allowed to work over there.

Today has been good. We went to the children's museum for craft time and then to the nature center for a demo about turtles/tortoises. A bunch of the animals they had for the demo were actually on loan from the museum. My son was very concerned about whether or not they would be going back 😂
