I'm drinking champagne and celebrating
My youngest son earned his Master's in Physics from WSU Pullman!!!
baby boy also turned 24 today!!

I actually just had a Pepsi and contemplating a frozen dinner
but so proud of my son!

We’re in Kansas City for the weekend to see a baseball game.

We went out tonight to a swanky bar and DS guzzled multiple $10 mocktails 🤦🏼‍♀️ but he was a trooper for letting us pick the restaurant!

brux I feel your pain. I love that Mocktails are on menus now but we need to have a national convo about the pricing. I paid $16 for one last week. $16!! It was at a jazz club so I just told myself I was paying for the entertainment. 😩

We went to dinner at a pizza place with some softball friends, and it was a lot of fun. H took the girls to get ice cream, and i came home to put DS to bed. I think i got the better end of the deal, because he went to bed very easily and now im watching Summer House lol.

I also have the last 60 pages of The Women to read and I know I’m going to finish it tonight, but I’m going to be sad when it’s over.

I panic-ordered a bunch of dresses for a wedding next weekend. I thought I'd just wear something I had but I haven't worn those dresses in years and I think I need something different. Maybe. I also need shoes. I don't know if I've worn heels since my first kid was born. I also panic-scheduled a haircut, which I've desperately needed for a while.

Explaining a hard science so well is a rare talent. Few people have the brain to do both. You should be very proud of him!

I'm very proud. He is drawn to teaching this stuff. I think he'd make a good physics professor at college although he wants more theoretical physics but guess he's doing ok on experimental physics right now.

Next month he presents his plan for reasearch for his PhD to mostly the same physics profs for review and guidance on his PhD.
The hold up on that is he's applied for a fellowship at berkley so he can use the xray laser thingy in person instead of remotely. But he won't hear yes no on that Til August. Then he'd have to jump to move there overnight.
Anybody have a room to rent in Berkley area lol
