As noted in the other randoms thread, I'll be traveling for work from this afternoon through Friday evening, and my flight out is on a Boeing 737, which is the aircraft that's been in the news for all the parts falling off lately. So, yeah.

We have soccer, soccer, and more soccer for the boy. SD finally got a job(!) and works on Easter, which has made family plans harder, but I'll take it if it means she's out of my house more often! She seriously needs something to do--productive or otherwise.

Trying to figure out the flow for Easter. Like I don't remember how we made dh bday good plus Easter in the same day. He's an adult so he will be ok.
I struggle with youngest son's bday far away from home. /sad His bday is 29th. He may get his masters awarded that day so fingers crossed.
Last year grandson had so much fun egg hunting that he didn't want it to end. But if they do it early enough I can go back to bed right?

You mean that thing they tell you to do? Yup. but not even unbuckling to get up to pee lol. On a recent flight, they kept announcing that the flight boarding at the next terminal had a plane with 2 non-functioning lavatories so please use the restroom before the flight, and then on my flight the WiFi wasn't working (which I know is minor) but I was like, this is not a good look for airlines right now.

NHIE peed on an airplane, it seems like a nightmare all around. I'll stay buckled in the entire time.

It’s almost 9 and we haven’t heard if schools are open tomorrow. I desperately need my child to go to school tomorrow.

NHIE peed on an airplane, it seems like a nightmare all around. I'll stay buckled in the entire time. Usually it’s no biggie for me to go pee en route but on my last flight we very suddenly hit a pretty strong bit of turbulence as I was walking back to my seat. It threw me up and then down onto the aisle where thankfully some strong dude pulled/helped me into the open middle seat next to him. I buckled in and stayed there a good while. Once it calmed down a bit I raced back up to DS and MH. IIRC Mh thought I was peeing when it happened and just didn’t want to come back out 🧐😒. So yeah staying buckled.

I'm getting frustrated. Every nice day we have had this month the neighbor up wind from me has been burning, all day each nice day. I feel bad saying anything because yes I enjoy a nice bonfire too. But I don't think these are recreational fires. It's ALL day! And I want to open my windows! But the smell of smoke permeates everything. I know by city ordinance they are too close to their house, has to be greater than 25' from buildings. I want to call the non emergency line on them. But maybe I should be more polite and send them a card/letter politely asking them not to burn so much? But I wouldn't give my return address. If a letter doesn't help I don't want them to know it's me if I have to call them in. Should I try to send a letter first? Or just call the city? Let the fire department handle it.

Omg I have to pee all the time. I'd never make it. Maybe an under two hour flight I'd be OK but anything longer than that... I'm going. Probably more than once

They said to stay hydrated on plane but I purposely drink nothing the entire day so that I won't have to use the restroom lol

I don’t think I’ve ever NOT peed on an airplane. Small bladder problems. I'm also a hydro homie, but I do reduce my drinking on travel days.

They’re tearing down a house built in 1700s on our street and it’s sad to see it go.

Today is our last day of our quick-cation. I am sad to leave tomorrow but also looking forward to getting back to my dogs and having the rest of the week at home to do a deep clean/get prepped for Easter.

Several years ago (pre-kids), H and I visited to the tiny town in Maine where my mom's family is from. I'd been there several times as a kid, but it had been many years. Anyway, their old family home was a bed and breakfast, and my mom said that if I went and knocked on the door and told the owners who I was that they'd be happy to show us around. I only had a general idea of where the house was, but we drove around until we were pretty sure we were at the right place (we were, thankfully), and knocked on the door, and the owners were super nice, but the place was no longer a bed and breakfast, so we just knocked on these random people's door. I probably should have saved that for confessions, but piratecat's post made me think of it.
