Am I the only one watching still watching this? haha. I watched the season premiere from last week.
And honestly? I know it has been dragged on way longer than it needed to be but...I still like the way they have revamped the show with the new interns. I like how it is going back to the vibe of the first class of interns where they are hot messes but also really smart, and breaking rules all over the place, giving Bailey flashbacks and showing Grey just how awful it was to be the attendings around them lol. Idk, I like it, I think they got a great cast for the interns to make them interesting.
Loved the final scene with Bailey walking in.
I'm glad that Jo and Linc are finally a thing after so much back and forth. Shonda better not fuck them up because like Linc said in this episode, Jo only deserves happiness at this point after all she has been through (I'm still not over how dirty Shonda did Alex. GAH).
Anyway. I'll just talk to myself if need be but figured at least one other person might still be watching, ha.

I'm watching! I agree about the new interns. I just wish they would stop mixing up all the couples and do something different at this point.
I feel like everyone has been married to each other 🤣
Eta so yes, I agree. Leave Jo and Linc alone and let's focus on other things besides breaking people up

Also when (intern whose name is escaping me) confronted Jo about where was she when they were calling for help...do we know where she was? I can't remember that part/the end of last season

I'm watching, but over the summer my dd discovered Grey's, and I started re-watching it with her from the beginning, and she made it up to season 10 so far (I stopped watching every episode with her after Lexie and Mark left), but she's just at the part now where Christina left, Jo came and is just starting with Alex, Derek is about to die, and Maggie just came, and jumping from that back into the current season made me lose the little bit of interest I had in the new interns. But I just can't quit at this point. Honestly, when I see them advertise that this is going to be the last season of Station 19, yet the refuse to end Grey's, it makes me so mad! Put it out of its misery already! The one storyline I think I would get excited about is Meredith's research, but Meredith isn't even going to be around to do that.

I think I stopped about halfway through last season, and I don’t think I can start it back up… 😬 Can someone spoil for me what happened to Mer and Dr. MN?

MelanieCarmichael I can't think about the Alex thing without my body getting physically angry. Which is stupid because it is all fake. But he was arguably one of the best parts of that whole show and it was just SO UNBELIEVABLE that he would completely abandon Jo like that, children or not.

And that she LIED (by omission) to him for YEARS about the existence of these kids and had them without his permission. This after the time she served him with divorce papers after months of silence.
But yes, what a slap in the face to his character growth and his relationship with Jo who helped with that growth. They were such a wonderful couple.
And Alex saying goodbye to Jo in a letter?
I know JC wanted out but they could have written it that he asked Jo to come with him to Kansas to meet the kids and try co-parenting and she declined to leave Seattle behind.
I'm angry all over again and can't even hatewatch.

I'm angry all over again and can't even hatewatch. Yes I know that Justin wanted to leave and totally respect that but I agree the way he exited could have been much different. Like he learns about his kids, and understandably wants to be involved in their lives. So he asks Jo to meet him there, and she comes back to Seattle and says she couldn't see her life there but understood why Alex needed to be with his children. So they separate amicably, albeit still very heartbroken. At least then Alex isn't the bad guy, Izzy is. It was so fucked. And still makes no sense. Which is why I am glad that Jo finally has a happy storyline with her baby and now with Linc. It better stay that way.

I have always been a person who is all too happy to be annoyed at Meredith but idk, I didn’t think she was all that out of line with her reaction in this episode. If my child was going to the hospital, I’d expect a call immediately. I don’t care if it is my husband taking the kid, I’d expect him to contact me to tell me what’s happening. I don’t think that Nick is a bad guy but come on man. It’s not that hard.

I'm putting in some suspension of disbelief here that Nick was just getting shit done and there wasn't a moment available to call. But IRL they would (at least) be spending time in the waiting room at the ER.
