What would you have named a baby when you were 16?

I hope this thread is okay here, I'm not sure how active the baby name board is and it was partially inspired by the Teen Mom thread and partially by Cher's almost new baby, Chet.

What would you have named a baby when you where 16ish?
Do you still like the name(s)? Or are you extremely relieved (like I am) that 16 year old you never needed to name a child?

Girl would have been Kadence Rylee- yes with a K but it was before the Kardashians own all K names forever.
Boy Alexander but would have called him Zander because apparently I thought I was a badass...also because I had/have an obsession with Vin Diesel.
I still like Alexander, but wouldn't use Zander. Kadence is still kind of a guilty pleasure of mine but I would never be able to bring myself to use it. Rylee is just...no.

The name I loved most when I was young was Layla. I still like it and would put it on a short list.

Charisma. Thank you to Cordelia played by Charisma Carpenter from Buffy the Vampire Slayer for that one. And I probably would have used Buffy too, let's be honest.

I thought the name Carmindy from the show "What Not to Wear" was the GREATEST name & probably Aidan for a boy because it was so fresh at the time and I think one the soaps had an Aidan on it.

There was a Chrisma in DD gymnastics class last year. Close but not quite Buffy inspired.

I would have gone with Tyler, Emma, or Jordan (boy). 16 yr old me had pretty mainstream name ideas.
I still love Emma and it would be the name of a future girl (lol no about more kids though). Maybe I'll name a future cat Emma

Ysobel. I don't remember the middle name, but I was obsessed with that spelling.

Now here I am with a 2 year old.

I don't remember how old I was, but I wanted to have triplet girls and name them April, June and Julie.

I also loved the name Julian for a girl. Funny enough, that's my now husband's name.

My daughter's actual name comes from a play I read in high school and loved, so it's possible she would have had the same name no matter how old I was.

Two girls from my school who had babies as teens named their kids Kaylani (girl) and Mikale (boy)

When I was much younger my favorite name ever was Anastasia. Glad I didn't go with that one. HS-ish self would have picked Lorelai or Stephen, because that's what my mom had considered naming me and it would be tributary or something? IDK what I thought. I also liked Holden from The Catcher in the Rye and still like it, although vetoed it because of increasing popularity when my kids were born.

There are some really nice month names! April, May June. August for a boy. If you are naming them October simply because they were born in October that's a bit more "out there".

Please please don't let your child's name be October😬🤞.

Edit: I don't think it's a bad name, just because I used that as my "out there" example!

We had egg babies we had to keep from breaking as a sex Ed lesson. I came up with the names Landon James and Gabriella Ariella. I would have second guessed both of them as an adult.

Kaylee; this was back before it was super popular. I still love the name, but it wouldn't be my top pick, and it has become way too common for my liking.

Will would make a good nickname from my maiden name and I was obsessed with naming a potential boy baby with my maiden name. Alas- my H hated that idea and I also had all girls. Otherwise, 30s me would still have liked that plan.

DH and I used to say we would name our future daughter Berlin. We didn't love it enough when we actually had a daughter, but the name is peppered throughout our high school love letters and so her MN is Berlin.

I know a 4yo named October. She was born in May. The month of October is significant, but the details are identifying so I can't share.

For me a boy would have been Zachary Alexander and a girl Caylin Nicole. These probably would have held if I'd gotten pregnant right away after getting married (at 23) too.

I LOVE August! I would probably use Auggie, but I also love Gus. I would have fought for August if we weren't avoiding "A" names. DH and I both have A names and we didn't want to be matcha.

Fevrina, my name for the child born in February, with siblings Decembra and Tober would not have been as....cute.

I had a lot of names on my list when I was finally pregnant that I wasn't brave enough to use. Octavia was included. Along with Cressida and Eugenie.

The name we actually chose was still pretty "brave."

A much younger me loved Cassiopeia once upon a time. Still think it's pretty name, could never use it.

Claire. I had met a girl on a cruise ship with that name and I thought she was so pretty, and classy with her British accent. Then I went through a stage from 20-30 years old thinking Claire was a boring old lady name, then by the time I was actually pregnant at 31 I was back to thinking Claire was a gorgeous name that I'd use hahaha.

Jake. Had a crush on my brother's friend named Jake and just thought it had an overall "cool" vibe. Would not use it now, NMS.
