I am a day ahead of myself already. I thought it was Wednesday, but sadly it is not.
Good news is that DD slept through the night last night. I put an extra light on in her room. I won't say for sure that the light is what truly did the trick until she goes several nights without incident since it seems to be every other night or every two nights that she wakes up. FX that this truly helps.

DS is at camp. He was a real pill this morning leaving & I kind of lost my cool with him so I'm feeling guilty about it. Ughh I hate when that happens. He's there probably enjoying himself & I'm here still thinking about it.

We're home! I'm totally exhausted but we had so much fun! We were with my SOs family and it was just such a good time. They go every year, but this was my first time going with all of them. We did so much walking and hiking!
Today DS has his theater camp and his performance is on Thursday night. Otherwise it's laundry, grocery shopping and costume making today.

I am dragging today. DS woke up crying at 3 a.m., and even though H was the one who dealt with it and he was back asleep in five minutes, I couldn't get my brain to turn off and was awake for probably a good hour. Ugh. At least the weather is finally nicer again and we can play outside again - we spent basically all evening yesterday outside, which was the first time in probably about a week that we'd done that between it being so hot and humid and us trying to keep DS from getting too sweaty because he STILL has this diaper rash/fungal infection/who knows what going on. I figured if it's cooler, he should sweat/irritate the area less, and at some point, this rash just is what it is. I'll probably wind up calling his pediatrician later this week when we run out of the new prescription ointment, which will probably result in our third visit for this, but at some point, they have to finally figure it out make it go away, right?

Ridley's finally seems to be feeling better. Last night was really rough, though. She was up for 2 hours screaming and nothing I was doing was helping until I finally gave her a snack because I got some grapes or if the fridge and she seemed interested. She finally fell asleep shortly after her snack, so maybe she was just hungry? Who knows.
Today she's been wearing her headphones all morning. They're not even turned on, she just likes to wear them. Lol

How old is he? Can you have him run around outside without a diaper to get it some fresh air? He turned two last month, we've been doing tons and tons of diaper free time, just all of it inside since a sunburn is the last thing I want to add to the list of problems in his diaper area. He'll pee on the potty when prompted, so when he's without a diaper, we just make super sure to get him on the potty at least once an hour or if he starts doing his little "pee pee dance," and we've been able to get through with minimal accidents that way. This rash was honestly there for probably a couple weeks before I finally got him to the pediatrician - I tried every over the counter cream and at home remedy, and there were times I've *thought* it was getting better, only for it to get worse again. We're now on our second anti-fungal ointment and using corisone cream once a day, with little luck. It's super frustrating. I joked with my mom at lunch today that he's going to have to explain to his future significant others why he has a diaper rash as a grown man, because it feels like it's never going to clear up!

Lol I'm glad she's feeling better! I'm sorry about the rough night of sleep though, DS also loves stealing H's headphones, he'll actually bop his head around like he's listening to music, even though he's never actually listened to music on them, and H doesn't even use them for music (they're for watching his shows/movies on a loud volume once DS goes to bed). It's the cutest.

Hey everyone! Sorry for being MIA lately. I've been studying so much for an exam and trying to limit distractions. Well, I passed today so I'm able to be around more! I hope everyone is doing well.

We're doing our Niagara Falls trip this weekend & I've been reading about all these taxes/fees they cake on to your hotel stay. I have to make note of the one & physically write it down so I don't forget. Quite a lot of folks have said it's optional & if you mention it, they remove it so I'm kind of nervous about how much more it's gonna be compared to the quote we got online once we check out :/ I guess that'll be the deciding factor for the next time as far as where to stay. We're kind of yolo-ing this time with being right at the falls. Lol

I remember there being extra taxes and fees when we went, but I don't think they were that much worse that what we pay in taxes and fees when we travel in the states. Just remember everything is going to seem super expensive b/c it's in CAD, but when you do the math and convert to USD it really isn't bad. Our dollar is quite strong compared to theirs right now.

Our dollar is quite strong compared to theirs right now. we did book it online & it does list the taxes, etc but says 'estimated.' Recent reviews on the hotel say when they checkout, the final bill is a lot more than what they booked so idk why they wouldn't just show all that online. I guess Niagara is out to shell as much as they can from tourists now. We shall see.
