Super random question: What types of medicine do you keep in your medicine cabinet? I have advil and tylenol but realized alot of our cold medicine is expired. I am throwing it away and will pick up more but I am wondering if I over stock. (According to my H, I buy more then needed. ) I have a mini pharmacy. Pain meds Decongestants (DayQuil/NyQuil) Mucinex Allergy meds (Benadryl for acute, Zyrtec for daily) Cortisone cream Tums/antacids Antibacterial ointment Alcohol wipes, isopropyl alcohol and hydrogen peroxide Aloe Vera gel All the bandaids/gauze/ace wraps. ETA: I hate running to the pharmacy when sick. So I stock it on purpose to avoid that.

The cost of maybe throwing a couple things out before they’re used up is worth it for my peace of mind.

You can imagine how that went when wanting to replace meds come March 2020. So I learned to not only keep our usual cold cough allergy pain meds on hand and even if expired don't toss til they can be replaced.

I am throwing it away and will pick up more but I am wondering if I over stock. (According to my H, I buy more then needed. ) Too much, I am trying to thin it out but I prefer 1 ingredient meds versus multi symptom stuff so it adds up. I also don’t want to have to drive somewhere when I am sick to get OTC meds. Pain meds: ibuprofen, Tylenol, aleve. Allergy meds: benedryl, Claritin/similar Tummy meds: various things for heart burn, things to make you go and make you not go. Cold meds: one box each NyQuil and DayQuil pills, guafenisen syrups, Sudafed, guiafenisen pills. First aid kit: bandages, steri strips, butterfly bandages, various gauze, various tapes, antibiotic ointment, hydrocortisone ointment, ace bandage; low dose aspirin just in case of a heart attack (having boys is fun) Vitamins Then we have the dogs meds, various prescription pills/ointments that we didn’t finish for future ailments (not antibiotics). I am hurricane/collapse of society prepared.

I want everything right there when I need it.

We always keep Ibuprofen, acetaminophen, naproxen Anti diarrhea meds Tums Pepcid Benadryl Zyrtec Cold meds (usually generic): DayQuil, NyQuil, Tylenol cold Mucinex Vicks Nasal spray Kid versions all but the NyQuil Walmart sells generic versions of many things for $1 or less per box. It’s worth it to me to know I don’t have to run to the store while feeling like junk.

I am hurricane/collapse of society prepared. Ours looks most like this. Except I try not to buy any combination meds like NyQuil/DayQuil. When they combine meds you often aren’t getting the appropriate doses of all the meds. I also keep cepacol throat lozenges, Vicks. I always try to have some zofran on hand and have been known to ask for a prescription at regular check ups.

We try to keep a pretty stocked medicine cabinet of stuff. We live about 30 minutes from a decent selection of meds if we need them (we have a dollar store but that’s not always helpful). So I’d rather have a bit of overstock then under.

It's been a month this week.
Work is nuts. MIL having health issues. N got sent home from DC for hitting on Wednesday. Yesterday was my repeat mammogram - they actually just went straight to the ultrasound and found a cyst (fine) and a small mass, so now I have a needle biopsy next week. Just got home from my booster shot.
I took today off because the COVID shots tend to kick my ass, so I plan on watching new GBBO, new Fate: The Winx Saga (don't judge me lol), and playing a shit ton of Breath of the Wild until the booster makes me sleepy.

(and thank you!) Lol my mom was obsessed with the original (like hand drew maps way back in the 90’s) and Ocarina of time. I’ve actively avoided playing any Zelda game but then I got Covid early this year and… well now I’m all the way in. I spend all the things to get ancient arrows for guardians but I still avoid Lynels. MH laughs at me because I’m SO bad. I’ve never really played many games and those I played the most were not that complex (like MarioKart or Mario Party) I love finding all the hidden things and searching for Korok. MH groans because he went straight through defeating everything as fast as he can and I’m here combing slowly bit by bit. It’s maddeningly slow for him 😂😂😂

I hope you had a relaxing day cakewenchBoth my mom and MIL broke their leg in the past couple weeks 🤦♀️ Right up by the knee. My mom also tore ligaments. She slipped after mopping. MIL fell off her bike Plus MIL had an Afib event that required getting shocked at the ER a few days before (whyTF was she on the bike a few days later?) Now they're laid up and nobody can come for DD's birthday next month and I'm not sad about it. They're both full of drama in their own ways up

I just need to get this out because it's so frustrating and i can't day this to MH but just need to drop somewhere, so no hair pats needed and thanks for reading.
So I've been looking for a new job on and off for awhile as I'm not happy with my company and really would like a role that is more EMEA focused and 90% of my clients aren't in the US. Or also just to stop working because if live to be the SAHP. But obvi as currently the sole breadwinner i can't do that.
MH had decided that not working has been fine but he isn't cut out for sahd-ing and wants a traditional job because he finds his value in working. I'm super supportive.
He officially has submitted his application for citizenship, which had been a barrier to many jobs here, but with that out of the way he applied for a bunch of jobs yesterday. I also applied for a number of jobs yesterday.
Today already I've received a rejection and he has been offered two interviews. I just am so happy for him and frustrated.

Well fuck. My favorite chicken died. She seemed fine yesterday and looks like she just laid down and died. Ughhhhh. She had stopped laying a few months ago, so i figured it would happen but bummer.

blurnette989, I know no hairputs required, but giving you some anyway. I don't know much about astrology, but I keep seeing that thing about 6 planets in retrograde, so there is probably fuckery out of your control afoot! <3
