If you took a summer break, have you started again yet? How are the year round homeschoolers doing?

My DD is considered 2nd grade, and we are still using the same boxed curriculum company for our 3rd year which is a good fit for our family. We took the option to substitute math and science, and so far, so good!
We now have a little community of friends for PE and writing classes and playdates. Unfortunately, many of the moms are anti-vax but are at least respectful of my choice to vax. Between them, church, and library storytime/morning preschool for my 4 year old, we are out of the house nearly everyday now. We started hs my DD for kindergarten in Fall 2020 in a new city with no friends and all the pandemic things. Fall 2021, we were still on our own a lot. So this year has been so different, and I love it!

We’re going to start next a week from today. This is DS1’s first year of the middle school grades, so we’ve shaken things up for him. He chose his texts and how he wants to study this year.
DS2 is doing more of the same this year (REAL Science, Kumon math, cobbled together ELA).
We’re moving in a couple of months so we’re kind of playing things by ear for now.
