Two of my favourite shows ever are Poldark and Line of Duty.
We like to watch European crime/psychological thrillers. Some that I really enjoyed were The Break, Black Spot, Babylon Berlin, and Trapped.

So, I know I have watched a couple shows lately that I would recommend, but don’t deserve a thread. So I thought it might be good to create something for others. Feel free to add (or discuss) - Maggie (Hulu) - this is super fun. It’s about a psychic and relationships. - The Bear (Hulu) - about a guy that takes over a Chicago beef place when his brother dies. Dude can be a dick, but has a great supporting cast. Has been renewed for second season. - Boo Bitch (Netflix) - two high school seniors that are trying to make their mark and one dies and becomes a ghost. There are some unexpected twists. I’m enjoying Maggie fun and easy watch. Thanks for the recommendation.

Infiltration on Apple+ is so good. It started slow but the 6th episode was as good as a movie. It's a drama/thriller about alien first contact. One of the nice things is that the focus isn't solely America. I'm going to start it again with my H as I originally watched it alone. Apple+ is definitely my current favorite for original programming.

For All Mankind, Apple. 3rd season dropped recently and we’re excited to watch it after we return from vacation! Started Blackbird yesterday and loved it. Just watched the first episode but the acting is really great. I hated the DB Cooper docseries. Oh, I thought it was well done! I'm curious--did you just think it was boring, or like, we know this already? I disliked the main investigator guys, and I prefer a story like that to he told chronologically. They kept hopping around and I found it annoying. There were a few totally new pieces of info for me so I did push through the whole thing, but I did not enjoy it.

It's French and I've read good reviews but I would have to add AMC+ on Prime Video to watch and I don't know if it's worth it or not. ETA: I liked Babylon Berlin quite a bit.

That's one I haven't seen! I'm reluctant to add any extra channels on Prime, so if it isn't on Netflix or regular Prime I don't watch it. Though some of the above-mentioned shows are making me consider Apple TV.

I watching the DB Cooper one and my husband just told me he didn’t know the story. Honestly, I didn't know the story until a few years ago. And I am not some spring chicken either.

Can we discuss here too? Has anyone watched Smother? It's on Peacock
I started it and just made it through the first season, starting season 2. I've enjoyed it overall, although at times I've found it dragged a little bit. I appreciate it's one of those that keeps changing so it's not predictable.
I dont usually despise entire characters because I'm pretty empathetic and can see all sides but I really dislike Anna. I do like though how this show shows character flaws and how/if they try to overcome them

This is gonna sound dumb but Snowflake Mountain on Netflix was surprisingly charming. The first episode or two they're insufferable and you can't wait for their uppance to come, but it's actually a really positive atmosphere by the 3rd episode on and like I said, charming. I was rooting for all of them by the end.

I’m currently watching Becoming Elizabeth (Starz) where we see the aftermath of Henry VIII’s death. It’s a rarely covered period where we have Edward VI’s reign and see him interacting with siblings Elizabeth and Mary along with cousin Lady Jane Grey.
I’ve also been enjoying the trash-tastic limited series on Lifetime - Flowers In The Attic: The Origin, which covers the events of prequel, Garden of Shadows.

I am watching this too and enjoying it very much. Also on STARZ is Gaslit (great) and a bunch of other royal period pieces, I’m currently also watching The Spanish Princess (it’s about Catherine of Aragon).

The Coroman Strike series based on the books is fantastic. It’s on HBO Max. I’m anxiously awaiting the next book’s release. I read them all after watching the series.

I also have watched all of the Signed, Sealed, Delivered from the Hallmark channel. I really liked it. You can find almost all of them on Amazon Prime.

It's about Emily Dickinson and every single character and aspect of the whole show is perfect. Just started watching this with my free 4 month Apple TV trail that was in my Target circle account. This is exactly what I love in a show. I also love The Great on Hulu for the same reasons I am enjoying Dickinson. Funny and a period peice all in one.

We haven't started season 3 just yet, should I be excited or scared? If you go through Season 2, Season 3 is a reward, lol. It is better and if the storytelling can be kept somewhat tight, I think it'll pay off in the end. But season 2--like, really? That happened? Lol. We just finished season 2 yesterday. I actually kinda liked it lol. It was out there but I liked how it ended. We’re one episode into season 3, so I’m excited to see where the rest of this season goes.
