We've been using Real Science Odyssey and it's been ok but I'm looking for something different next year. The boys said they want to learn about "deep sea creatures". Anyone have any good sources for that? Something relatively open and go would be nice since I am working and trying to homeschool at the same time.

Sorry I missed this!
I don’t have any specific suggestions, but I would look into unit studies for specific “deep dive” topics, or maybe even Outschool courses.

One of the fb groups recommended Blossom and Root's 5th grade science is oceanography so I'm considering that. I may end up outsourcing to outschool too. We'll see.

My DD took a free marine biology class through Supercharged Science, and it was good. The teacher (Aurora) probably has other Oceanography classes since she lives on California's central coast.
