My neighbors just put up a fence and it leaves us with a swath of about 10 feet of dead space along our yard in between our fences. I'd love to spruce it up! I have permission from our neighbors to do whatever I want there (and it's our property anyway). That electrical box can be accessed from behind so the area doesn't need to be walkable. I thought about berries but I don't know how to create a path in the middle to harvest them and also the bunnies would probably eat them all. The area is pretty much full sun. Sunflowers? Fruit trees? Local native wildflower mix? Would love any and all ideas!

I would probably think hard about some kind of maintenance free flowering Bush hedge.
Depending on type wildflowers may get thick and when they die off they are a dead fire hazard. So id make sure its not something you have to clean up and that only lasts a month or so in spring.
I'm fighting back sunflowers that want to take over and spread their seeds like crazy. Started with a line of them about 12 ft long. Now they really want to be over about a quarter of my property. And this year with Ukraine 🇺🇦 they are getting more free rein.
