I just want to punch stupid Chrisp Rat in the face every time I see him. Otherwise I’m very excited for the movie.

And I hope beyond all hope that we'll get another glimpse at Dr. Darcy Lewis.

I'm mostly interested in seeing Jane and Valkyrie. I love Tessa Thompson. She is always A+ in these movies. I'm a bit meh on Jane in general, but I will give it a chance!

RajahMD I hated it! It was so ridiculous most of the movie and then turned super serious at the end. Christian Bale played his part super serious but the rest of the cast didn’t do it was so weird. What did you think?

What did you think? Yes, the tone seemed super all over the place. Thor was so slapstick and goofy but then you’ve got Gorr’s daughter dying of thirst in the desert and then Jane dying of terminal cancer. Felt very random. I did really enjoy Zeus though.

overboard I love the ridiculousness of it myself. I mean, it's about a god that flys around with an axe that is jealous of the way he talks to his hammer. I can't be mad about it being funny. The first two Thor movies took themselves way to serious, so I've really enjoyed the change of pace with the last two.

I don’t mind the silliness at all, but I do feel like it worked better with the Grandmaster as the villain, Gorr is the polar opposite of silly.

It was pushing the edge of too silly with ragnarok, but this movie went full camp and no one told Christian Bale.

I loved the comedy, but I'm an admitted fan of all things campy. I particularly loved the goats, the running gag of the jealous axe, and the God city scenes. My favorite part was the kid army though. Absolutely adorable, and I died at the murder stuff bunny bit. .

We just watched. I guess we're doing the spoiler thing. {Spoiler}I told MH that the beginning felt too forced. Like they just mashed them together and were like, there, you're a team now!
He says the cancer thing is what actually happens in the comic (without the dying at the end part) so that's why it's in there. I would have liked more Sif, but since she was so injured, it makes sense why we didn't see more.
I was sooo worried something would happen to the kids. Glad they are all ok. I enjoyed them having Thor's powers. Especially the bunny and the girl dressed like a princess. The goats were also funny.
Korg being a face was weird and unnecessary. And I didn't like the ending where Thor takes the girl out to fight.
But none of the Thor movies have been my favorite, so I didn't go in with super high expectations. Overall, it was still enjoyable.

I agree with a lot that’s been said. It was pretty ridiculous and a bit all over the place but I enjoyed it.

I finally can come in here and read all the reactions. We finally watched it this weekend. I’m not going to put spoilers because it’s been out for months so people can avoid the thread otherwise lol.
I liked it a lot. Not as much as I liked Ragnarok but I like the camp of it mixed with the seriousness. I didn’t mind that they were slightly at odds in moods. I actually think of all the marvel movies, this one would probably have scared me the most as a kid because holy fuck Gorr was terrifying.
I was happy Natalie Portman was back mostly because I have a huge crush on her and have since I was a teenager lol.
Why does Hercules look so tiny in that post credits scene? I always envision him as massive like Thor. Apparently that is setting up the next movie?
I was telling my H that while I KNOW and understand why they don’t get all the avengers together for every villain, I always think when watching the stand-alone movies that if they just called up a couple of their buddies, the bad guy would be done in minutes lol. I mean hell Thor could have tapped on Dr Strange and Captain Marvel and Gorr would have been done instantly. But again I know why they don’t do it lol.
