Hi Friends, long time no chat! How is everyone? I miss hearing about your kiddos and lives.
Things are chugging along here. I'm just getting over shingles (?!!) which was unexpected and so painful! I now have caught my kids cold and its my first since March 2020, UGH! It was a nice stretch staying healthy, lol.
M seems like such a big kid. She has her kindergarten eval mid-April. Hard to believe she will start in September?!
I'm looking forward to Spring activities starting. Both kids will be playing soccer and D1 is taking an art class at a museum so that should be fun! They need something after this long boring winter.

jt2378 oh I’m so sorry you had shingles! I had it when L was a few months old & it is miserable.
I feel like someone in my house has been sick every other week since Christmas. Over it! L started gymnastics and has soccer starting soon as well. It’s so cute to see her doing activities! She has to do Pre-K again this fall bc she pushed her birthday into Sept but I think that’s probably a good thing. Listening isn’t one of her strengths, she likes to follow her own impulses!
We are taking our first vacation trip with both kids before Easter (Disney!). Usually we just travel to visit family, so this should be a bit different! Hopefully we have fun and aren’t the miserable parents at Disney World.

M is starting soccer too, so cute! I hope you have a great time at Disney! I know my kids would love it but I'm not ready, lol. You are brave.

Hi! jt2378, so sorry you dealt with shingles, never experienced it myself luckily but it sounds so painful and awful. Hope you are all better again now! I too am looking forward to actual Spring. We had a glimpse of spring weather week before last but then just before the weekend we reverted back to Winter with snow and freezing temps. Right now it seems the weather is stuck in Fall. Ha. pennylane, Disney sounds fabulous! We hope to do a proper Disney trip one day as well but since it requires a 10+h flight, visas, etc for us we have to do careful planning AND saving up beforehand. Hopefully some time over the next few years though! Have loads of fun.

Hi! We all got covid mid-march and I'm still recovering :-( Felt better after a few days, as in no more fever and cold-symptoms, but still feeling ridiculously exhausted. Then last Thu and Fri D. was running a fever, and I myself got another throat- and ear infection with a fever this weekend, so I'm out again. Not sure what's going on! Can we fast-forward to May or such??
Apart from that, life is just chugging along really. D. started swimming lessons in December (or I should say February really as after the first lesson, lessons were cancelled for a few weeks due to lock down). It's parents-kiddo lessons, so daddy is going with her, and they are both really loving it. Every week D. gets all excited about having swimming again. So cute. I'm looking into another activity, thinking maybe dance/gym or something with music. She doesn't seem to have a preference for anything in particular but is always singing to herself and loves to dance to music so that seems her jam right now. How did you all end up choosing soccer? Sounds fun, also. My nephew does soccer but he's 7..
D. is doing well in school (kindergarden I suppose in US terms :-)) and really enjoys going. We have Easter break coming up and then another break in May, and I hope the weather is nice enough to go camping then maybe. Also contemplating what our summer holiday looks like this year. Are you guys planning ahead for summer already as well?

Are you guys planning ahead for summer already as well? I'm so sorry you all ended up with Covid and then sick again, ugh! Sometimes it feels never ending, huh? I hope you start to feel better soon. I chose soccer really due to convenience, affordability and my older daughter started playing at the same age and still enjoys it so I figured I would let M try it and see if she likes it. Dance or gym sounds great too, I'm sure D would love it! There is a huge time and cost commitment here with dance or gymnastics so that is why I have held off and plus Covid kind of put everything on hold for us. I"m not sure on summer here yet. I did sign D1 up for a week of camp but thats it for now.
