Anybody planning a vegetable or flower garden this year? I just bought a ton of seeds for both vegetables and flowers and now have to figure out where they all go!

We have 3 raised beds One garden area that used to be a long sandbox so still sandy soil. A garden made of a bunch of large pot due to tons of cottonwood roots growing into a long narrow garden bed
We currently have potted pepper plants in some of thr pots Going to plant some things in huge barrels probably lettuce spinach and or turnips
Have one garden raised bed 6x6 full of overwintering tomato plants 1 bell pepper and 2 butting in pepper plants from birds dropping seeds.
Another raised bed full of various pepper plants like jalapenos, green chilies, banana peppers. A stray baby bell pepper and a tomatillo that came up from last year seeds.
Last raised bed has an almost dead sweet potato. Have to decide what to plant there. We should rotate crops so peppers should move over. Probably at least some purple peas.
Last garden has volunteer tomato plants. May plant dh weed there too lol.
Out in yard 2 huckleberries are doing well. Need to get a plant for my mom. Once they get berries, they spread seeds everywhere. And baby plants want to make berries at 4 inches tall

We have 1 raised bed we built last year, and I'm hoping to make another one. It would have been easier to have built it this past fall, but dh didn't want to .
I saved seeds from one of the pumpkins we carved and we are going to try growing that. And I think we will do peas since the kids LOVED being able to snack on those. Green beans are also a strong possibility.

I collected a lot of seeds from my pollinator garden this year. I’m hoping to expand it and create a couple other little pollinator patches. I’m trying a little winter sowing in milk jugs so hopefully that pans out and will give me a jump start in the spring.
The Prairie Moon Nursery catalog came and I want it all. Maybe I’ll pick out a couple things.

I planted a TON of milkweed on the side of the garage in Oct, hopefully it comes up! We bought random pollinator seed packets last year and just threw them down and everything did well but I didn't pay much attention to what was a perennial vs annual so it will be a mystery what else comes up. I also planted some coneflower starts so hopefully those come back.
In an adjacent area we planted zinnias that ended up HUGE (over 6ft tall by the time it frosted) and I kept some of the dried out heads to hopefully plant the seeds in the spring.
Our veggie garden didn't do great last year but we'll try again. So far planning on cucumbers, bell peppers, tomatoes, radishes, carrots, and there's a rhubarb out there already. I might like to try a few other things and we usually throw some sunflowers in there as well

Hi! I have 2 planting areas - the big garden in my best friends back yard (we share it) and a small planter on my patio. I kind of creep some space from the yard too, but try not to do too much because otherwise the landscapers get mad lol. I haven't conferred with my bestie yet what's going on in the big garden, but I did start some pepper seeds last month and it looks like we have 4 orange peppers and 5 king of the north so far. I also started pansies, petunias, and snap dragons. Trying to wait for the end of the month to start my tomatoes - we have beefsteak, sunrise bumble bee, and yellow pear. In my planter I'll probably grow the two smaller varieties of tomato, plus some radishes, lettuce, peas, beans? I can grow cucumbers and zucchini vertically so might try that again since last year was kind of poop (I got the wrong soil!!). I threw a pie pumpkin into a little growing area in the corner of the yard so fingers crossed something comes out of that =) I'm getting hubby to make me a little box to go down in front of my planter box so I can do flowers in it, and also another smaller planter box to put herbs into.

We are zone 6a, do I need to be doing starts inside already?!? We did some tomatoes and peppers last year but I think we started them early April?
Any good resources for seed start timelines?

Last year, I did 2 boxes of tomatoes from seed (no starts) and they went nuts, which is crazy for our climate. I will try it again. And to think I only tried it because I didn't want to have to weed flower boxes all summer! This is my garden here... it is always hit or miss with stuff working out. Usually about half of it yields something and it's different stuff that works every year lol.

We've got a lot going on so far. We decided to go raised beds this year's and use the paths in between to intentionally grow green manure (clover, lupine, rye grass) plants for chickens and revitalizing the soil. The raised beds have onions, leeks, peas, pumpkin and cabbage. The covered beds have broccoli, radishes and lettuces and cilantro. Did half a tomato bed and when the lupines finish growing their beans we will flatten cover and do a second set of tomatoes. Still need to plant pole beans which will grown on cane leaning against the chicken coop. And when we pull the onions in a few weeks we will plant courgette.
