We just got back from Josie's. She is 49 inches and 51 pounds and she needs glasses. She couldn't read the fourth line of the eye chart. Unfortunately, the next appointment at our ophthalmologist is not until January.

I finally called to make an appointment this morning and the pedi is booked out to FEBRUARY 11TH! We have to book months in advance here. It's always been like this though.

guster, Cadence really likes the select of frames at Target. We just take her script there and she picks the ones she wants. They are also nicely priced so it doesn't suck so much when they need to be replaced.

I know that she won't have to wear glasses for anything but seeing some thing far away, so I'm happy to buy two or three pairs and stash them in places she might need them.

We got H’s first pair at target and they were great but we were unable to get her last pair there because the eye doc she sees added some weird thing to her prescription. H is supposed to wear her glasses for reading and close up work but refuses to wear them. She saw the eye doc about a month ago and she said that if H is doing ok and not complaining about a headache that it’s ok for her to not wear them. I wish she would have pushed her to wear them because you know she’s not going to be telling me if she gets headaches because she doesn’t want to wear her glasses.

I got mine in third grade and just never wanted to take them off, even though I only needed them for movies and seeing the board. I feel like I made my eyes worse by constantly having them on. I can totally see Josie having the same problem.

Waiting for the dr but a med student came in and did most of it. He’s 48” 53#. 15% and 35 % apparently. Which is funny cuz I think he’s so skinny!

Both boys' appointments are all wonky because their pediatrician retired at the onset of COVID (but the office wasn't straight with us about it for about 6 months) so Colin didn't have an appointment last month. We had to weigh and measure them both last week for ski rentals though.
Colin is 4'6" and 65ish lbs, no idea what that comes out to percentage-wise.
Chase is 4' and 50lbs already!! He'll be 6 in March and is trending significantly taller than Colin but who knows, their growth patterns have never lined up.
