This is for the 8 year stats.
Also, your annual reminder to schedule your 8 year well-check.
I don't think there are any boosters at 8 are there? We will be getting the flu shot and talking about various issues.
Any other things we should talk about with our pedi?

I'm crossing my fingers they've developed a "attitude and hateful" vaccine......

I don't think we go until January, but we see doctors regularly throughout the year! Not sure how I will get the flu shot accomplished this year since I got mine at work and usually get one at the same time.

L’s is mid December. It was the earliest I could get without having him miss any part of the school day

This post reminded me that I haven’t scheduled M’s. We just did an intake appointment in July though, so I think I’ll skip this one since it wasn’t even 6 months ago. I have no issues or questions, so for now I’ll just wait.

Flu shot ✔️ Height: 4 1/2 feet(dentist was off by 1 inch) 97% Weight: 91%
She said to keep an eye on her newfound issues of noise and crowds. She said it is likely just from getting back in the swing of things, but if it starts preventing her from wanting to do her normal activities then we should look into it. Same with her random complaints of headaches and stomach aches that disappear just as quickly as they appear.
They said after her 2nd covid shot to bring in her card so they can update her vaccination record.

H had her appt on 11/22. She’s 3’10 - 5th percentile and 52lbs - 31st percentile. So a tiny girl. I’m just now switching her to size 7 clothes. Her doctor didn’t have a magical solution to her terrible attitude lately, unfortunately. Otherwise it was very uneventful. She got her first covid shot, second one is next week.

J had his last week. He's down to 70/80 percentiles in height and weight..quite the drop from 99% for both for years as a toddler. Said to keep up with as many activities as we want as long as he's not too tired on the weekends.
As with all appointments, we spent most of the time trying to navigate covid and levels of risk and asking what she'd do. She should bill us for counseling services for me😑

35% in height 69% in weight It was a well checkup miracle, the doctor said his weight looks better this year. It made me happy to not have to hear the speech this year. Of course he was super energetic so he asked about the grades and his focus but it’s all good. I think this is the first year in 5 years where I didn’t hear the weight speech.

chrisy01, I noticed in Cadence's online chart it says we talked about exercise counseling and nutritional counseling. I was like, uh....when did that happen? I mentioned Cadence's picky eating and she told Cadence she needs to remember to try new foods because you never know when you might actually like something. Oh, and of course they talked about horse back riding. Not sure that could really be considered "counseling" though...

I have S appt on Friday. I'm nervous about his height, at his 7 y/o she said we would keep an eye on it and if he didn't grow enough she wanted to refer me to an endocrinologist. Yesterday he accidentally grabbed a pair of size 6 pants that were still in his drawer, and they fit fine.

Ours did mention she wasn't worried about him eating a lot since he's into a lot of sports and very active. But I think we would have had a different conversation if we hadn't asked how many sports is too many..

She needs a little more room in the butt with jeans so those are a seven but she's definitel on the smaller side. Her appointment is on Thursday, and she is very very excited to see if she is finally 4 feet. She's real close, I think

Sierra was 47lbs (13%) AND 3'10" (5%). I finally got all her doctors to ok the Covid shot for her. With all her issues and many specialists, we just wanted to make sure before jumping into it. But thankfully all were in favor so I need to get that scheduled. She also got her flu shot already. I always think she is so tall...then I see her next to her classmates and realize she is actually not!

N is 4’5” and 69lbs. 84% for both.
She had 5 warts frozen off her hands. We had a couple done this summer but they came back. The pedi did a different method which made it hurt a lot. Poor girl. But hopefully it works better this time.

C is 51.25 inches 60th percentile and 71lbs 89th percentile. I had her explain to C that boosters are recommended until 4’9 and that his friends that are not using them should be. He’s very upset his cousin who is six months younger and shorter isn’t using one. I probably won’t wait until 4’9 but he needs a few more inches for the seatbelt to fit correctly.
Aside from that just the usual stuff and no concerns.

T went a few weeks ago. I think he’s the board giant. He was 54 inches and 80 pounds. I’m concerned but the doctor is not. He always wants to eat. Luckily, the city decide to have basketball this winter which they had said was not happening so he will do something.

H is very short, but so are DH and I. So when we go to her appts and the doctor shows me her stats, they follow her curve and he always says that she takes after her family. I know you’re short so maybe he’s just taking after you.

I know you’re short so maybe he’s just taking after you. That’s what I always thought so I never worried. I’m short and MH is fairly short. But apparently her concern was because he fell off the curve after 5. He was big as a baby/young toddler then settled in around 30-40 % for a few years. I think at 7 he was barely 10%. So she said that was what concerned her. We shall see, I suppose. Nothing I can do about it but wait. He’s my good eater , so I know he’s not lacking anything. He’s just short and skinny

I just looked at her stats and she only grew 1 inch since last year and dropped from the 13th percentile to the 5th.

E will most likely be a good amount taller than C. I’m unsure how he will take that.

That's why they did the x-ray of H's hand and ran some lab work for hormones or something. I can go back and see what all she ran.

Interestingly enough, my pedi's daughter has a growth hormone deficiency. So she definitely said she errs on the side of caution and refers out at the first sign of something. She had him come in for a growth check at 7.5 and said she wanted to wait to see till 8 y/o to determine if she thought there was an issue. She mentioned the same thing, some lab work and an x ray.

It's funny, I was telling her at the 7 y/0 appt how I had been expecting his growth to slow down b/c I'm so short, etc. And she stood up and looked at me - she's 4'10". She said she thought the same thing, and didn't think there was anything wrong either, but that when the growth didn't track along the right curve she decided to get it checked out and was glad she did. Apparently her daughter was on track to be like 4'7 or something, and was completely lacking whatever growth hormone she needed.
