Hello! My kid refused to get dressed because I wouldn't let her view the pictures of the pumpkins in her school's contest. The pumpkins are at school, she can see them in person.
While I sit in the pick up line this afternoon I'll be sewing buttons on her Wednesday Addams dress because she wants to wear it to dance class today.
While she's at dance I'll be painting the design on her shirt for her school costume to wear tomorrow.
Procrastination at its finest over here. 🤦

Evie's school is doing a pumpkin decorating contest as well. She said her teacher only had a few pennies in her jar, so we sent her with a bunch of change. The school is doing a trunk or treat tonight, so after her swim lesson, we will take her to that.
I'm feeling a little better today. I am picking up my Jeep later today. I decided if it acts up again, I'm driving it back to the dealership I bought it from and leaving it there and telling them to get me something else.
I'm sure there will be more emails about finishes on the house today because their new person is learning and it doesn't seem like anyone is helping her get organized. They have continued to push our date back without notification, we are now in February.

Morning. It’s raining and dreary here. Should make for a lazy day on my part.
Does anyone’s kid get letter grades- like As, abs, Cs- on their report card? We are getting on track, approaching expectations and while it’s all good, I just wonder when the change happened from letter grades to these benchmarks. I know from the graded papers we get weekly that he does well and understands what is being taught so I guess I should just go by that. I just don’t know what the other benchmarks encompass. Like is AE a higher grade than OT?

lahdeedah I don't remember getting letter grades this young...maybe 5th grade is when I remember them starting. We have E for excellent, S for Satisfactory, I think there are 2 more. And then for music or PE, it's either a + or / sign...I can't remember what the legends are. It seems like as long as your kid is there and participating, they're going to get at least S for Satisfactory.

lahdeedah, we have #s 1-4. or I guess maybe 0-4? idk. She gets mostly 3s and 4s and the teacher says everything is good, but then she gets a 2 in language arts. I think it was because she didn't turn a single thing in.

mwhip, I'm glad you're feeling a little bit better. I have been trying to read but my days feel very jumbled so, did I miss it? Did you sell the house you're currently in?

K5 we got satisfactory or unsatisfactory. Our teacher grades their work and gives perecentages on them, so I assumed that meant letter grades, but we got report cards yesterday and it’s OT and AE. It’s probably better for the younger ones so they don’t get discouraged early on with letter grades.

No report card letter grades here until sixth grade. Right now the scale is E,M,T,P. And I don't think they start getting numbers on tests and quizzes like spelling and math until the end of third grade

We didn't get letter grades until middle school (6th grade). I think it'll be the same for the girls.

mwhip , I'm glad you're feeling a little bit better. I have been trying to read but my days feel very jumbled so, did I miss it? Did you sell the house you're currently in? No, the plan is to list when we are in finishing stages, because at that point, the date should quit moving. H and our agent both still want to list with a long close of like 2 months, so now, we would list beginning of December. But it's hard to plan since things keep moving. I really don't even want to list until shortly before we close, when we can really see an end. But no one seems to agree with me. It's also a shit time to sell. We already bought a small tree with pretty lights to sit in the corner, but aren't going to decorate like usual, so our stuff isn't out when people start looking at it. I'm not disappointed that this means we won't put the exterior stuff up like usual. That typically happens when it's cold, then we take it all down early January when the ground is frozen and it's pretty miserable. So I won't miss that this year!

The school nurse just called. Josie fell and they think she might have chipped her tooth but no one (including Josie) is fully sure. I called the dentist and he wants to see her so much for my plans (I mean it was laundry and weekend meal planning but still...)

guster I hope she's okay! I chipped one of my adult front teeth in elementary school and had it repaired. It didn't hurt, but I'm so paranoid that the fake portion is going to fall off on like a Friday afternoon and I'll have to deal with it for the weekend before I can get it fixed!

Also, hi! I got my booster this morning, so I'm drinking tons of water in hopes to help with the side effects.
I've been at work for 2 hours and have peed 3 times already lol

Hope she is okay and doesn’t need any dental work.

I grew up with letter grades starting in 1st grade. But I’m not sure what they do at our school since S has an IEP, we don’t get a traditional report card.

All my staff is laid off for the season and I’m trying to figure out how to shuttle vehicles and get things done by myself.
Tomorrow S and I are getting flu shots, then next week MH and I are getting our Covid boosters. I am praying for no side effects from either!

A slight chip! But I love our dentist-- he smoothed it out, gave her a toy, and told me no charge!

I’m at the airport and my flight is delayed. I go to the restaurant to get a drink and there’s a line. Walk to another restaurant and there’s a long line. They have. Wine bar here but it’s not open yet. Wtf Oklahoma? I just want a drink.

Busy day at work today. My husband feels like crap because he forgot for the second time that this was the day he was allowed to bring dd in to school in stead of just dropping her off at the gate. I feel bad for him, but also for dd, since this is the second time…
Also they discontinued the cake we always get ds for his birthday, because of course 🤦🏼♀️. I now ordered a different one, knowing full well he most likely won’t eat it.
Still haven’t found a psychologist… I called about a dozen, but apparently you’re supposed to check their websites every day to see if they have a opening. Seriously who has time for that?!
Oh and I have a cold sore and it sucks. Well how is that for randoms?!
