I decided to just randomly start new threads. How are you guys?!?!
My almost 5 year-old is basically a teenager, J still has accidents because he is too busy to use to potty and my 2 year-old could run the maphia.

My next week 2yo decided using the potty was for the birds. I knew he was too young for this. So zero pressure on him he’s back to diapers. My August 17 baby is such a big fat fibber! She started with Dada says I can ... it’s usually have a popsicle. And the stories she comes out with. I got to fact check her with other adults all the time. She threw a book at my head today, no reason just was hyper , maybe over stimulated? Idk

I can’t believe R is going to be 4 in three months!!! I decided to keep R at daycare until school starts. The YMCA is making all kids wear masks this year (last year was optional) and daycare doesn’t make her wear a mask. Plus, she just loves her teacher so much and her friends. T has a community Ed acting class on Saturdays in the building with the pre-k, so I’ve been taking R for drop off/pick up to look around to get her used to it. R has so many t-shirts, but would only wear the same three every week. As well as just black/white stripped pants. (She has so many clothes because most are hand me downs from T who loved new clothes) So, I didn’t do her laundry for 3-4 weeks until she wore almost all her clothes. She was mad, but it was so good to see her wear different clothes. She is also is in this crazy “no tags” phase where if she sees a tag anywhere on her clothes they need to be cut off. I had a vocal cord surgery on 4/30 and it was tough to be on complete vocal rest for three days. And, now it’s hard not to raise my voice/yell at the kids. I go back 7/01 for the ENT to see how they’ve healed and I’m worried that I’m going to permanently damage them. Here is R unimpressed with her new school:

starzia L still has accidents and has only pooped on the potty once. Some kids take soo long to potty train. I’ve been working on her for a year now! I think you’re being smart going back to diapers.
bsouls Hope R enjoys her school! Those pictures are funny- she’s so straight faced.
L finishes her first year at preschool next week. She’s been a handful for them, and is repeating the same class next year. Hopefully she’ll mature a bit and go with the routine better in the fall. I need to get her teachers some great end of year gifts bc they seriously deserve it!
She was out playing with the neighbor kids the other day- and at one point she snuck around the back of their house. I followed her around to see what she was doing, turns out she snuck in their sliding door to go pee in their bathroom! The mom popped out and was like “she’s in here peeing!” Thank goodness our little street is like family- but she has no stranger danger or hesitation in just walking right into a neighbors house.
She has also cut her hair with DS’ school scissors twice in the last month. It is so ridiculous looking now.

pennylane L has some of M’s ideas running around places and no stranger danger. She invited our neighbor into the house 2 days ago after she asked her to brush her teeth . And always says hello to people walking down the street. And anywhere actually.

Hey all, I miss this board so much. I hate how dead it is now. I'm just stressed. It's the end of the year, J is pushing limits, and I'm extremely annemic which is good because at least it's a reason for why I'm so damn tired all the time. J finally started going potty at school which has made things so much better. We're about 75% successful now so while not totally PT, we are getting there. Some days he's the sweetest child in the world but others are exhausting. He likes to run around and hit then run away laughing and it's getting old. I hate yelling at him so much, it makes me feel like a shit mom but I know it's the age. Also his speech is coming along but most people can still just understand 50% of what he says and it's frustrating for him. DH understands about 75% and I understand like 95% but it's so hard. I also hate the August birthday because he's going to be the youngest kid in pre-K and I'm not sure he's ready but he's registered. bsouls my friends mom had vocal chord surgery years ago and I know it was really tough for her. How are you doing?

Hugs king26. That sounds like so much, I hope things ease up soon but also I’m here nodding along like damn I’m fucking exhausted too 😫 We finally have success in PT too after I just said enough is enough and just put her in undies. She was of course a bear carrying on and I ignored it and stuck with it and she flipped a switch and took right to it 🙌 so.damn.stubborn

king26 I’m doing good. My voice hasn’t cracked since I’ve had it done, so I feel like it fixed my problem. I keep yelling at the kids, which is probably what caused the cyst in the first place - but they push my buttons and just don’t listen.

bsouls by 6:30 I am so tired the stern/loud voice starts like. Just do what I tell you, we literally do the same thing every day! I’ve been sitting down and singing the Daniel Tiger songs trying to be a good example to tell them I need to calm down and not yell. Those Daniel tiger songs work for them. Not for me, counting to 4 fixes nothing !
