Weeks Pregnant: 13!
Baby is the Size of a: lemon
Appointments: MFM on 4/9. Second dose of vaccine on 4/2!
How are you feeling? Pretty good. Still having the weird mouth taste thing sometimes.
Rants/raves? We got our results back from the cell free DNA and first tri screen and low risk for everything!
GTKY: What is the one thing that is a pregnancy "no-no" that you are looking forward to after sweet baby is born? Glass of wine :-) I'll have a few sips here and there while pregnant but try not to have too much. And certainly couldn't stomach any alcohol at the moment. Also, we started introducing the kids to some water sports last summer - my oldest went water skiing and the youngest went tubing - and I'll probably have to watch from the boat this summer.

Yay tinydancer! That's awesome on the screens! I think watching from the boat will be fun too! Once the babe is born, did you know that they have cool baby swings for the boats? My nephew had one and it was awesome for just cruising around at low speed. He loved it! It was similar to this one: www.babysearock.com/We go out on the boat a lot and go to the local sandbar often... I'll just float around on a raft enjoying the people watching.

Weeks Pregnant: 11w 2d
Baby is the Size of a: poker chip 😂
Appointments: u/s on Monday and I’ll have to make a dr appt for next week as well.
How are you feeling? Blah. And oh so tired.
Rants/raves? I would like to not feel nauseous at all times of the day please and thanks. I can barely function and H has been picking up the slack on pretty much everything. It’s lovely but I feel bad. Soon? Hopefully? Please?
GTKY: What is the one thing that is a pregnancy "no-no" that you are looking forward to after sweet baby is born?
Alcohol is really the only thing I stay away from. I think? I’m just careful about where I get food from? 🤷🏻♀️ no truck stop sushi or anything.

chappy3, I had not seen that baby swing, that's neat! The local sandbar sounds so interesting - I've seen some pictures of those but we don't have them where I live. whatsit, I'm the same about food, just try to be careful about where it comes from. Whole foods sushi is ok, but maybe not the bodega Honestly, it's probably a good rule for life.

It’s the weekend. H is working nights. We had snow this morning. I’m lazy af. Kids are having quiet time so I can hopefully nap. Can I complain much more? Probably. But I won’t.

whatsit snow!?! Whoa. I hope it melts quickly. We have been having some lovely springtime weather here and the Cherry Blossoms are starting to come out. We went to a park to see them yesterday and were able to spend basically the whole day outdoors. Not so much today - we were supposed to take the kids to a farm for a springtime/easter festival but we were rained out. 😒

Ya..... have I mentioned I’m in northern Alberta? 😬 it’s snowing again today hoping it melts/warms up sometime this week. I’m supposed to take DS for a park date with one of his classmates..... I would very much like spring.

Weeks Pregnant: 14 ish
Baby is the Size of a: peach
Appointments: Not for another two weeks I think.
How are you feeling? I think my nausea is finally subsiding. It was so much worse than my first two (boys). I found out we’re having a girl so maybe there is something to the old wives tale lol.
Rants/raves? I’m hopeful I can start getting my energy back so I can do home projects this summer. We moved in a few months ago and I feel overwhelmed by all I want to do.

sammie we have a ton of home projects we want to get done in the coming months as well. Like you, I am trying not to be overwhelmed by them. We just finished 1 that we had been putting off - re-doing our 1/2 bath. The next big one that is giving me anxiety is getting ceiling fans installed in 3 bedrooms upstairs. We need to hire an electrician for that to run the wires, so the anxiety for that is more about how much it will cost. But once we get that done, then we can move ahead easily with the other things. gah! Good luck!

We are renovating our master bath and I’m going to have the contractor do a few other things, like paint bedrooms and do ceiling fans. Our backyard is a bit run down and I’m pricing out options. So darn expensive!

Ok good. We’re not the only ones attempting renos during pregnancy. We have about 7 interior doors left to replace. It just takes way too much effort to paint them to get them prepped to mount. Hopefully in a few weeks I’ll feel well enough - and hopefully be warm enough for me to do outside.

Also - had an ultrasound today. I was super anxious going in. AL brain has got me paranoid, hence the random scan.
Everything’s still looking good! Measuring ahead this time so I have no idea what EDD they’ll go with. I am anywhere from 12w-13w3d 🤦🏻♀️
We also told our kids after the scan looked good. DD (3) didn’t fully grasp but DS (5) is sooo excited. He was asking how big it was and if we could feel it kick yet and told us how he’s gonna hold it after it comes out.

whatsit so glad everything is good! Your kid's reaction is so sweet! Quick vaccine update: I got my 2nd Pfizer shot yesterday (9w3d) and had zero side effects other than a sore arm... super relieved on that one!!

whatsit, glad to hear that everything's looking good! We told our kids, almost the same age as yours, too, and it's so sweet to hear them talk about it. My 2 (almost 3) year old DD will point to my belly and say baby's in there. I don't think she really knows what's coming though, she's very used to being the baby of the family. My 5 year old DS says he wants a brother because he's a brother. chappy3, glad you felt good after your second shot! I have mine on Friday and I'm a little nervous because I've heard the stories.

Well we made official announcements to parents and family and did the fb announcement yesterday.
A bunch of my family responded with “we were waiting for an announcement on #3!” 😂
Far cry from Hs parents who asked him if we just found out.... 3 months in..... basically implying that because we have2 (and a boy and a girl) that anything else must be unplanned. 🙄 I might be projecting but I already have so many problems with things they say and do.

I told one of my best friends from college and she said "whoa, on purpose?" Haha. She's allowed to say that because we're such good friends. I know she's not the only one thinking it either!
