Hey ladies, What are you all doing now that restrictions are starting to loosen on everything? Things staying the same? Visiting with just family or small grouos of friends? Going iut to public places with the family? Curious as to what "phase" you are all in and what that means for you and your family.

We go into Phase 1 tonight which is churches, retail, and hair places open at 50%. Restaurants and bars still take out only. No longer stay at home bu Phase 1 is Safer at Home
We arent doing much different. We arent going to stores or church. We can watch church online. We are debating on seeing family. Im not up for driving to my parents because we always stop on the way there and way home and there isnt anywhere to stop right now and we live in a rural town while they are in a city. We are thinking maybe have them come and do a visit thiugh since we havent seen them since February. Im not seeing ny extended family yet though.
Ill still be working from home and so is DH for now but after Memorial Day he will probably have to go out for work.

I’m in WNY and nothing is changing here. We are now hoping to be able to start phase one in June.
I’m guessing at the rate we are going that there won’t be camp this year and I don’t know what I will do with T. I also don’t know when my MIL will have to start working again, so it’s hard to plan for.
R is still home for now, too - but, I can always send her back to daycare when I need to.
I’m in a slump and depressed. I’m so bored with work, since the majority of my time used to be spent doing home visits that I can’t do anymore.

Im definitely in a funk with work as well. Seeing each kid via video for 20 to 30 minutes a week while i sit in a chair in my basement is nothing like teaching a ass of kids all day long.

We’re in the same state, king26. I started letting the kids play outside with the neighbors kids. (5 different kids, 2 families). I had been just taking them out when no one else was out, but they need to socialize for all of our sanity. I know the neighbors have been home & only going to the store. I’m planning to keep doing grocery pickup when possible and staying home otherwise. We are under a travel ban bc DH is military, so our summer travel plans are cancelled. Still waiting to hear if the summer camp I signed DS up for will be open (but that’s mid July). As far as family, I have been trying to get MIL to drive up here and visit for a while. She has been having a hard time being stuck at home alone (FIL passed 7ish months ago). I think she might come beginning of June & stay a few weeks. Our family is all a days road trip away so we won’t be seeing the rest of them for a long time.

I’m in MA so nothing officially lifted yet but plans are supposedly outlined and will be communicated Monday the 18th when the current stay at home expires.
Nothing changing here though really for now. I’m continuing to WFH since my university has its own phase system they are implementing and research is first to go back.
Numbers are still shitty here. While hospitalizations are down, my particular county is not so I’m not sure what will happen.
We have D1 signed up for just a week of camp in August but not sure that will happen.
I know we talked about preschool a couple weeks back in the last thread and I’m still undecided about M.
So basically I don’t know wtf I’m doing anytime soon 😂 I’m trying not to be irrational and an anxious mess but it’s hard. I know we have to get back to life in some shape or form but it’s hard when you are in a hard hit area and don’t fucking want to get this.
I’m handling things well :sarcasm:: 🤣

jt2378 while we are not in a gard hit area we are in between baltimore, DC, and Pittsburgh all of which have been hit hard and many people commute near there. They just opened vacation rentals and I know lots feom the cities are going to start flocking here which sucks. I also hate not knowing what is going to happen. J is signed up for preschool in the fall but who knows if it will happen.

We are staying the same even though things here eased up a bit already (southern MD). With Js surgery in June and us having to do a 2 week quarantine beforehand i don't want the kids to taste freedom just to loss it all again.
My sister is going to come down the night before his surgery and take the girls to her place for a week so that will help. I am just afraid things will flair up again once everyone is moving around again.
We also start summer classes online Monday so no real break.

@starzia, get your butt in here with an update. Miss you ❤️ Update attached Mother’s Day weekend we broke and saw all the moms. On Sunday we went to my moms with my sister and her kids. We made it C’s Bday party too, since we had canceled that. I later found out what we did was expand our bubble. My bubble has immediate family in it now I have had a babysitter in my house all along so I can work. Public Preschool screenings have been postponed to Aug, public Preschool is postponed until the last week of September. I also put in an application to Head Start, my first choice which will probably follow that delay as well. And M is on a wait list for 2 private preschools.

jt2378I survived COVID-19 so I am not afraid anymore? Just always sad instead. DH company had an outbreak he got it and brought it home. There was a death and DH is not the same. No one is the same right now. But it’s just heavier? Now there is more than one case at my job and they are sending us all to get tested. I’ll do that in an hour. Hope I’m not a symptom free carrier. I’m exercising everyday (as of last week so LOL) back to therapy. Trying to ween so I can increase my meds. DH and I are getting along better than ever. Nothing like a 3 week quarantine either make or break a marriage! Now we are doing tons of home renovations.

I just hope when this is all over we can fix some issues but I doubt it.

Hey ladies, Ugh I hate not coming here as much. We are doing well. Haven't done much, havent seen my family since February which is weighing on me. Found out school is going until June 12 which stinks. The kids are so over it, i am over it. I really hope we go back in fall. I assume i will but who knows what that will look like.
I went to work this week with 2 others. We cleaned our room for the summer. It was eerie. All of my calendars and boards were from March. Papers stacked to be graded. We had to wear masks in the building so it was creepy.

@starzia, good to see you again! Happy belated Birthday to M! Did you get your test results back? Hi Dolly! Yes, my results were negative. I’m surprised at the number of people who declined the test because they didn’t have symptoms. That’s nice, two of our coworkers are in the ICU, but nothing bad could happen to you so who cares right ? I applied to participate in an antibody research gig. ( I can’t think of the right words at the moment ) I applied in April and didn’t hear back until 2 weeks ago when I got the screening questions sent to me. I think I will be screened out because of my employer, probably a conflict of interest. But I not willing travel the next “closest” hospital research group Thank you for the belated bday wishes. It was C’s 1st bday. I scrolled up. I missed that JT said M too. My August 17 kiddo is M Some times I mix thing up here too. No big deal.
