I've been basing dinner on either how many dishes or if there's a drive thru

This past Monday, after my dr appt. I stopped quick at the store on the way home to pick up some fruits and vegetables. I usually grab a pile of produce bags so I wouldn't need to run around looking for produce bags. At some point I accidently dropped the pile and I just dumb stared at it for a while and decided it was too difficult for me to bend over to pick it off the floor esp. wearing my maternity belt ( it's helped when I am standing/walking) so I just left it.

racegurl87, it's hard cooking for 1 and a tot. I'd do the same if I had anything close by but we live in podunkville.

TMI FFFC:
I went through 3 pairs of undies yesterday thanks to this cold. The snissing/coughissing is getting old. I'm just glad I was working from home.

#2 has put me into a "buy all the babywearing things" mentality. I haven't worn DS in a while, but I'm assuming I will wear even more with trying to take care of a toddler and newborn. I definitely DON'T need more wraps but I can't stop getting things. I had a Sailor Moon themed wrap arrive today and it is love. Sailor Moon was a huge part of my childhood so the wrap means a lot to me. I also have a Tula toddler mesh carrier on the way. My thought is that DH will likely wear DS some while we are on vacation, where strollers aren't as convenient, so he needs to have a toddler sized mesh so he doesn't get too hot, right? Plus, the print matches the Ju-Ju-Be diaper backpack I just got, so it was meant to be... or so I tell myself to try and justify all the purchases.

This ties in to my diagnoses from this week. I want this baby out. I know, I know, logically it is waaaayyyy to early, and he needs to keep cooking, but I can't help it. I'm emotionally reeling and wanting this to be over because the further along the more risks we're facing. Super selfish probably, and I feel like a monster, but I'm having serious anxiety about losing him, or something catastrophic happening to me and leaving my children motherless.
I also am no longer excited about the pregnancy because now there's so much worry and unknown that keep swirling around in my head. I also feel like I've lost a bit of the bond I had started feeling because all I can think about is the risks and have put up a wall should something happen.

Eff! I snissed on the couch a bit ago. I contemplated leaving it. It was a small spot. It was on the chaise side so a PITA to remove the cover. But I couldn't do it and took it off and spot washed it. DS just woke up from his nap and got upset about the cover being off. Toddlers

mkrupar, stinks when pregnancy becomes unfun. I was just getting into this pregnancy cos I wasnt able to with DS due to being paranoid and terrified. Then we had our emergency a couple wks ago and I may be facing a GD diagnosis. So I am basically counting my weeks. I totally get it. Just hang in there!

mkrupar, sending you all of the Internet hugs. I'm so sorry you're having to deal with everything. You are not a monster and you're entitled to feel how you need to. Be easy on yourself.

arimaythea, that's too adorable to pass up! I am really really exercising restraint into getting the essentials but it's so so hard!!! I also splurged on a toddler carrier earlier this yr and that I know will get a lot of use so no guilt there.

Hugs, mkruparYou're facing a lot and your feelings are valid. I don't think you're a mobster at all. Haha, that should be monster, but I'm leaving it.

I was debating between that exact one and the lillebaby airflow, and I ended up going with lillebaby because I can use it starting at the newborn stage. Wish I could get both, but I think DH would not be pleased.

I wasn't able to post this yesterday but I'm afraid I'll forget it for next Friday:
Daycare sent the list for DD school supplies for her new classroom which includes: "shoes that are difficult to remove (preferably with laces to be double knotted)"
I'm not following this sugggestion. DD is really good about not taking her shoes off for us and I can barely tie shoes on her feet right now anyway, let alone when Aug/Sept/Oct rolls around. She is so good about putting her Velcro shoes on independently and I see that as a much needed skill once baby is here and we become extra busy.
*if she suddenly starts taking them off then yes, we will buy shoes with laces but for now, she's going with Velcro.

I DESPISE tying shoes on young children. Drives me nuts. No. I MUCH prefer sending ds to put on his shoes and him coming to me having completed the task. Makes it easier to get him ready and myself finished and out the door. It is an independence training tool. It is a mommy sanity when trying to remember everything I'm forgetting while he is running circles around me asking which toy he can bring and can it go in or does it stay in the car and where is his cup. Lol. Velcro for lyfe!!!!
