I'm getting a hair cut today and I told M that when I pick her up at DC she should say, "Mommy, you have beautiful hair." So she said, "ok mommy, I will. It's not beautiful now." Gee, thanks kid.

J and I were playing on Sunday morning while MH was making breakfast. I had the sleeves pushed up on my long sleeve shirt and there were some sleep wrinkles on my arm. J cam over and asked me what they were and I explained it to him. He pushed up the sleeves on his pajamas, examined his arms and proclaimed that he didn't have any sprinkles on his arms. R says this too. "Mom, my fingers are sprinkley!" After a bath or whatever. He also calls his pinky finger his "thinky."

B yelled "look out!" Right as he threw a basketball at my face. Thanks, bud.

H's preschool teaches a lot of sign language. Tonight at dinner he turned to mh and said, "dad, I'm going to sign something to you and I really mean it. I really mean it to you and mom so so much". He then gave the Vulcan salute. We think he meant to sign "I love you" but we were too busy laughing to fully clarify.

I put a tasty new pretzel in M's "drive home from DC" snack cup and noticed that there were a few still in there when we got home. So I ate one and noticed that it seemed a little stale. I tried a cheerio and it was fine, so I tried another pretzel and it had the same sort of sitting-in-an-open-bag kind of stale thing going on. Then I found a pretzel from the bottom of the cup that was fine. So I asked M if she knew why her pretzels were weird. "Because I licked them!"
Oh...

"No horsey eat my quesadilla!"
We were in the car, and there was no horsey around ... And he had already eaten his quesadilla ...

Last night when J was extremely overtired, he had a meltdown while taking a bath because he needed to "go in the living room and squeak like a mouse". But he was covered in soap and he was just beside himself about it. It was hilarious but also I felt horrible because I knew he was exhausted and had lost the ability to reason.
He didn't eat his dinner because it was "too dusty".
He got a new matchbox car track that has a loop and he calls it his "loopty noopty noop" and it cracks me up every time he talks about it.

J got a "playground"' (swingset playset) for his birthday and we spent a lot of time out there last weekend and early this week watching him play. We have a case of leinenkugel shandy cans and MH and I drank one each day while he played. J came up to us after a couple days and said "you got you playground milk mommy?" Lolol.

My kids are really into Beauty and the Beast right now. There's a scene where a guy loses his pants and he's wearing boxers with hearts on them. J yells "He's wearing his underpants of love!"

We went to an aquarium with my cousin and O picked out a 6 foot long stuffed rattlesnake in the gift shop. Tonight he was on the phone with MIL (who is afraid of snakes) and the first thing he did was excitedly tell her all about his snake and how he was going to show her the next time she came over. When he got done he said "but don't worry Grandma, he's not really a real snake."
