1.5 miserable miles yesterday.
3 miles outside today. I'm about 30 seconds per mile slower outside than I am on my treadmill right now, which is about where I expected to be and I'm ok with that. Average pace 9:22 though, which means I've lost a full minute plus per mile off my shortie pace since finding out I'm pregnant.

2.6 miles of intervals. Planned for 3 but H summoned me upstairs to help deal with children.

5k done in drizzling weather during lunch. I meant to get up early this morning to run, but the wee one was being a butt about going to bed last night, so I opted to stay in bed and I'm glad I did, since it a light drizzle is among my top 3 favorite weather conditions for running.

Shoe recs, anyone? I usually run in super low drop, super low cushion, Zoot Ultra's that are a one piece, no lace, glove like fitted shoe. I love them dearly but they never work for me when pregnant. I can't remember what I switched to in my first pregnancy tbh, and whatever I settled on sucked because I had wicked shin splints by the end. Second pregnancy I switched to Asics but I can't remember what model for the life of me. Any recommendations for something with more cushioning and support? I don't typically love a heavily cushioned shoes, but I need something more than I currently have.

cnf if you want cushioning, you could go for Hoka’s? I use them and really like them.

Too much cushioning bothers my legs too. I need to find something that is more than I have now but not too much. I'm so high maintenance.

I thought I'd join in! I'm an avid runner and I also do 9 Round kickboxing 4-5 times a week. I'm running a 5K next weekend and my 13th half marathon at the end of April. Exercise is my happy place.
We went to NYC last April for the first time since we were kids and had the best time and I decided it would be fun to run the NYC marathon. I put my name in the lottery but didn't get in 😢 but with it being the 50th anniversary there were a ton of entries and they didn't draw very many names. I had gotten the idea of running a marathon in my head and wanted to try it so I signed up to run the Atlanta Marathon next year. I hope to run NYC at some point. The lottery seems like my best bet because I'm terrible at fundraising and as much as I love giving to charity, there's no way I could raise $2600 for a charity spot.

Hi sctiger! Welcome! Running the NYC marathon is a big dream race of mine. Once I pop out this last baby I'll be throwing my name on that lottery every year until I luck out.

Did a 5k race on Saturday- took 2nd for my AG for the 2nd time in a row (same AG as last year). I almost didn't run it, I had been dealing with a head cold for a few days prior but my mom came over early to watch LO so I figured I might as well try.

cnf, I saw in the motivation thread you ordered some asics. I hope they work out! If not, I'd recommend the mizuno wave paradox. I switched from inspires to the paradox when I was pregnant and I think they were less cushiony than the inspires but still supportive.

My Asics come today but I probably won't run in them until tomorrow since I don't want to gross them up running outside this afternoon. If they don't work I will check out the paradox!

Just entered another race - 28km trail run in July. DH is doing one of the other distances and we are making a weekend away of it and booked the hotel where the race starts for 4 days.

How is everyone’s training affected by the corona virus measures. Here not really except I have to work from home so might be able to fit my runs in at lunch and not at 5:30am.
Did a 10km run today

Did a 10km run today Any plans I had for racing through my second trimester are basically gone. I really wanted to squeeze in a few 5ks. I guess we'll see what's happening in the next couple months. I'm just plugging along, still streaking. I ran a fast 5k today for day 294. I'm off work indefinitely due to an in school case of COVID19, so plenty of time for me to keep running everyday.

So far covid-19 isn’t afffecting me race-wise. I did a race last weekend but haven’t gone beyond debating w myself on some upcoming ones. I ended up getting out relatively early to do 5k on my regular trail.

Tried to hit the trail today, but the park entrance had a "closed for maintenance" sign, so I ended up going to the gym indoor track. It was crazy empty today.

So we've all been home for a week now and it's getting to my oldest. He's not getting the kind of attention from the teacher he did in school and he kind of broke down last night about "feeling left out." So I suggested that he and i have some special running time in the morning. He's the first one up in the house, so I told him to wake me.
6am he was bouncing beside my bed so we went out and did 2k around the neighborhood. I know he liked doing something just he and I. Hopefully it helps. He's already planning our route for tomorrow morning.

My SI joint started flaring up again so I was out for a few days. It started at the end of pregnancy with my second daughter and I did PT for a few weeks after and it did wonders. I've had random flares since then but they only last a day or two and this time is was pretty bad. I went in for a couple session of PT recently and I was having issues with my lower spine in addition to my SI joint and that what made it a little different this time. I've been doing the exercises and have slowly been building back up to running. I'm glad because if we're stuck at home all day I at least want to get out in the morning for a run.

Keep at it when you can. The stronger I got bouncing back the less issues I had with mine. Pregnancy has really done a number on my SI joints too. I feel you, it super sucks.
