I thought today might be my last run, but I comfortably ran 4 miles. If my kids didn't get so needy I could have kept going. Bodies are weird. Guess I'll keep trying to run 🤷🏻♀️

5km today. Got swarmed by Old English Sheepdogs along the way, they were cute and fluffy.

I found out that I got a spot in the NYC virtual marathon. I have to run 26.2 on my own sometime between October 17th to November 1st, upload it to Strava (need to figure this out!) and I get guaranteed entry to the marathon in 2021, 2022, or 2023 (year to be determined later). I'm super excited! Running the NYC marathon is definitely a bucket list experience.

I might at least toss my name in the lottery. I'm going to need a fall 2021 marathon.

2.6 miles of "running" with both girls in the double BOB. I need a serious nap now.

Signed up for the Disney Wine and Dine Virtual this morning, since that's one I've always wanted to do, and now I can virtually.
Was going to do the half, since that's my typical Disney race, but the thought of running 13.1 miles in my neighborhood is not super appealing, so I'm saving that one for actually running in the park some day.
Emperor's New Groove is my favorite Disney movie, so when I saw the 5k was a Kronk shirt and Yzma medal I signed up for that one. Besides I never run Disney 5ks since they're usually the day we're arriving in town for the race!

I've never done a Disney race but I really want to. I think my top pick would be the Princess Half.

Loved them both and would happily do more. I really want to do the Disney world marathon

Wine and Dine is also one a really want to do. My friend I did the princess half with and I were talking about doing that one together next. Then the world burned down. Maybe someday.

Anyone want an update on my kid's treadmill hand? She had a second graft two weeks ago and was in a hard cast for the first week after. She's started twice a week OT and we have her fingers out and smothered in lotion about half the day at this point, and in special silicone slip on tube bandaids the rest of the rest day. Still sleeping in her splint. Pictures for those still curious. We never took a picture prior to the first graft, which is the 7/2 picture. The 7/20 picture is right after the hard cast came off the second graft. The 7/31 was in the morning right after unwrapping it and removing her splint. They get kind of red and crusty by the end of the day, but they're finally starting be so normal-ish. She'll have extensive OT for a good while still, but we don't see her burn team again until the end of August.

cnf that’s amazing! How does she feel? She's decent most of the time. Doesn't use her hand as much as she's supposed to so it's going to prolong OT for sure, but she does play and act fairly normal most of the time. She definitely still has pain though.

I need to catch up here, as evident by my super late likes!
I'm on streak day 88. I've been having some issues with my hip flexors. First my left was sore for a while, then it got better but then my right got sore, and now it's back to my left. And I finally realized that duh, it's probably b/c I haven't been keeping up with the myrtl routine. So while I"m bummed that I've reduced my mileage, I'm glad that it's finally getting better. Since my last post, I've done mostly lunchtime runs around campus, a few trail runs, and last week I got three sunrise beach runs last week (freaking amazing!).

I still haven't planned an end date and just keep upping the ante. I would like to make it a year (thanks to you as inspiration!) but I'm keeping it small goals for now (30 days, then 60, then 90, and for now my goal is 100). I think that's making it easier for me to stick to this time around.

cnf, I mean, you did it while pregnant, that's gotta be equivalent to at least a 1.5 year streak!
