For the purposes of this check-in, we will define extended breastfeeding as breastfeeding beyond 1 year. Questions are repeated and suggestions are appreciated! 1. How old is your LO? 2. How many times per day does your LO nurse? 3. Does your LO drink other milk besides breast milk? How did you introduce it? 4. Do you multitask while nursing (watching TV, reading, etc.) or do you just relax and enjoy the snuggle time? Pregnant & BFing/Tandem Nursing Moms: How are you doing? Any issues with supply, pain, aversion? Questions for other moms?
GTKY: What is the most random pet peeve you have about your partner (i.e., not the usual leaving their socks on the floor or emptying the dishwasher wrong, but something odd that they do that bugs you)?

1. How old is your LO? 16 months 2. How many times per day does your LO nurse? 5ish 3. Does your LO drink other milk besides breast milk? How did you introduce it? he has a cup of WCM each day at daycare for naptime. he liked it well enough at 1 that we didn't have to mix it with BM, so when i stopped pumping at 14ish months i just started sending in 1 cup a day. 4. Do you multitask while nursing (watching TV, reading, etc.) or do you just relax and enjoy the snuggle time? Usually I'm doing something else- reading to the kids, playing with my phone, listening to an audiobook.. but sometimes i just sit there, particularly if DS2 wants to come over and cuddle simultaneously.
GTKY: What is the most random pet peeve you have about your partner (i.e., not the usual leaving their socks on the floor or emptying the dishwasher wrong, but something odd that they do that bugs you)? My H bursts into song at random times with the absolute cheesiest 80's songs (stuff like "hit me with your best shot" and "don't stop believin'")... but he's not great with remembering lyrics so he'll just sing 1 or 2 lines of chorus... pause for a few minutes, then belt it out again. then whatever horrible song he's singing is stuck in my head. it is kind of hilarious to retell it but in the moment it makes me soooooo annoyed.

Annnnnddd still here. I'm done but she isn't, lol.
1. How old is your LO? 2 years, 3 months
2. How many times per day does your LO nurse? 1-2
3. Does your LO drink other milk besides breast milk? How did you introduce it? Yes, she has since about a year. She really liked it so easy transition.
4. Do you multitask while nursing (watching TV, reading, etc.) or do you just relax and enjoy the snuggle time? I usually play on my phone, the kindle or watch tv.
GTKY: What is the most random pet peeve you have about your partner (i.e., not the usual leaving their socks on the floor or emptying the dishwasher wrong, but something odd that they do that bugs you)? He does not have the ability to be quiet when the kids go to bed. Its like the house is silent and he is slamming the fridge door, pouring cereal, clinking bowls, walking like an elephant. I know it is not a big deal in the scheme of things but it drives me crazy that he is going to wake them up and I just am so done for the day usually at that point!

1. How old is your LO? -2yo
2. How many times per day does your LO nurse? -1x
3. Does your LO drink other milk besides breast milk? How did you introduce it? -He has WCM at school. We were able to switch pretty easily without mixing it. He also likes pea milk.
4. Do you multitask while nursing (watching TV, reading, etc.) or do you just relax and enjoy the snuggle time? -Our only nursing session is first thing in the morning, so we just snuggle.
GTKY: What is the most random pet peeve you have about your partner? -He will choose the most terrible moments to be helpful. He likes to unload the dishwasher while I'm cooking (in our tiny-ass kitchen), or vacuum as I'm trying to get DS in bed (he has a tiny Dyson he MUST use whenever DH gets out the big one), etc.

Hi y'all. I'm still around. Just had a realllllly tough October so I kind of "stuck close to home" as it were.
1. How old is your LO? 16 months 2. How many times per day does your LO nurse? 2-5, depending on the day and whether I'm working or not 3. Does your LO drink other milk besides breast milk? How did you introduce it? He drinks cow milk about twice a day. He was having 1-2 bottles of formula to supplement so we just slowly mixed it more and more with cow milk. He takes it just fine warm or cold now. 4. Do you multitask while nursing (watching TV, reading, etc.) or do you just relax and enjoy the snuggle time? I'm usually watching TV, but especially our morning nursing we just snuggle.
GTKY: What is the most random pet peeve you have about your partner (i.e., not the usual leaving their socks on the floor or emptying the dishwasher wrong, but something odd that they do that bugs you)? Lol, my husband has a tendency to grab my boob or butt whenever he comes up to me. It's kind of cute, but also let me cook or finish my makeup goddamit!

1. How old is your LO? -15 months 2. How many times per day does your LO nurse? -2x - one day last week he was in a mood and we were trying for an extra nap so we did 3x, but pretty consistent morning and night 3. Does your LO drink other milk besides breast milk? How did you introduce it? -WCM at daycare. Daycare is part of the free lunch program, and there are minimum amounts of WCM to be served at meals and snacks. At home on weekends, he has maybe 4oz over the course of a day? He loves water! 4. Do you multitask while nursing (watching TV, reading, etc.) or do you just relax and enjoy the snuggle time? -Play on my phone!
GTKY: What is the most random pet peeve you have about your partner (i.e., not the usual leaving their socks on the floor or emptying the dishwasher wrong, but something odd that they do that bugs you)? Rearranging the dishes that I already put in the dishwasher his way, even though they would have been fine.

jt2378, my dad is totally that way. As a kid, he would (accidentally?) wake us up slamming the dishes in the cupboard when unloading the dishwasher. Not angrily, just a loud moving human.

F has become SUCH a boob monster lately that I've had to start wearing a sports bra at all times. If I don't he'll just keep going back and forth and pulls up my shirt to get at them. He'll even pull down my normal bras. I needed a break!

1. How old is your LO? - 16.5mo 2. How many times per day does your LO nurse? - he was down to 1x day and whatever overnight but he got a multi-day stomach bug in October and has been nursing a lot more since then. He’s also cutting 5 teeth right now 😩 so he nursed 2-5x during the day and about 75% of the night 3. Does your LO drink other milk besides breast milk? How did you introduce it? - nope. I’m lazy. He loves water, though. 4. Do you multitask while nursing (watching TV, reading, etc.) or do you just relax and enjoy the snuggle time? - I’m nursing right now! [/div] GTKY: What is the most random pet peeve you have about your partner (i.e., not the usual leaving their socks on the floor or emptying the dishwasher wrong, but something odd that they do that bugs you)? - he says “it’s fine” to mean both yes & no depending on the situation and most of the time it’s impossible to tell the difference. He doesn’t change inflection or anything.
