Week/fruit/EDD: 38w3d, winter melon, 11/8 (RCS 11/1)
FTM, etc: 3TM
Appointments: Tomorrow for NST and OB
Team (pink, blue, green, finding out): Pink!
Milestones: full term!
Symptoms: pressure, cramping, insomnia
Rants: None except for that I'm pretty uncomfortable
Raves: I can't believe I will have an outside baby on friday. I feel pretty unprepared. Between building a house, trying to replace the car that DH recently totaled and my other kids, I have not put much effort into preparing for baby. Yesterday DH and I went to target to get some things and got a few things that we hadn't thought of so at least now I feel a little better. DH still needs to go to our storage unit and find the 4th leg to the bassinet. She is going to sleep in that until we move and we will probably put the crib in our room there. DD2 (almost 22 mo) is still not sleeping in her crib so I think in the new house we are going to put DD1's twin in her room and get DD1 a junior loft bed with a mattress on the floor underneath it for DD2. Hopefully that will get her out of our room.
GTKY: For those that work, are you working right up until you have the baby or taking some time off before? I was planning to work through thursday but I have some leftover vacation days for this year that I am not going to use so today is my last day!

FTM, etc: 3tm
Appointments: friday
Team (pink, blue, green, finding out): blue
Milestones: Baby laundry is almost done. I have a few amazon packages coming today and then the only thing I need to pick up is the diaper pail.
Symptoms: out of breath/fluttery heart, heart burn, sore ribs
Rants: see symptoms
Raves: H started building the changing tablehe Then has a few more hours of work on it then it needs to be sanded and painted, but at least it's a start.
GTKY: For those that work, are you working right up until you have the baby or taking some time off before?
I SAH. My days with no kids at home during the day are numbered and filling up quickly. I'm trying to lay in the recliner with my feet up every chance I can.

Week/fruit/EDD: 34 + 6, 12/3
FTM, etc: 3rd
Appointments: OB tomorrow, growth scan next week.
Team (pink, blue, green, finding out): Pink
Milestones:
Symptoms: Just the usual ligament pains in my pelvis, some sinus issues, nesting like crazy.
Rants: I’m hoping it’s just allergies/sinus crap from the weather changing and not the cold my kid(s) has. Then I overdid it while cleaning yesterday and had a few contractions but they went away pretty quick with water and lying down.
Raves: Finally got a car seat! Still need to go through the baby clothes and should probably start working on a hospital bag...
GTKY: For those that work, are you working right up until you have the baby or taking some time off before?
SAHM here, so I’m also trying to soak up my alone time. My H gets 4 weeks of leave, and his office closes the week of Xmas-new years, so to avoid overlap between the two (and therefore “losing” part of his leave) he’s going to take off at the end of November regardless if baby is here or not. Got to maximize his time at home, if that all makes sense.

sundog - my H has so much vacation time accrued he's taking the week of Thanksgiving off all through December and will still have 2 weeks of vacation left to roll over into next year. I won't lie though, it's going to be nice to have him around for this transition into a family of four.

elle that is amazing. It will be so nice to have the help! For sure. Especially because we have no family near us so we're doing everything on our own.

Week/fruit/EDD: 31+2 and little brother is the size of a foam finger. Lol. EDD 12/30, RCS scheduled 12/23
FTM, etc: second
Appointments: OB and a growth scan next week
Team (pink, blue, green, finding out): blue
Milestones: I will start biweekly appointments after next week!
Symptoms: Ugh.
Rants: I feel like I am going to be pregnant forever.
Raves: Halloween is fun! And M is really into it this year. We've been squeezing in all of the fall fun we can. We went to the zoo and to a farm festival last week, a Halloween block party last weekend, trunk or treat tonight, and then Halloween tomorrow.
GTKY: For those that work, are you working right up until you have the baby or taking some time off before? I expect I will work from home a lot in December. I'm missing a big work trip right after Thanksgiving and will be home all that week, but officially my last day is Dec. 20 before my Dec. 23 c section.

Just curious... how often did/does your OB do a cervical check in the last few weeks?
Mine checked at my appt this week (1 cm dilated already!) and I didn’t think to ask if she’d be doing it every week.

I think they will generally do it every time if you ask. As long as you water hasn't broken, I don't think there's any risk?

More as a personal preference and not worried about risks. I’m a bit turned off by them because an OB I saw with my first did a check at 37 weeks, said I was 3 cm and immediately did a membrane sweep without asking me. It was jarring.

My doctor will do them but she doesn't seem to put much stock in them. You can be at 4 cm for a few weeks or you can go from 0 to 10 in a few hours. I don't think they really statistically tell you much.

I'm not at that point yet but, especially since I'm having an RCS, I plan to decline them entirely.

I forgot to mention I had maternity pictures taken last weekend and I cannot wait to see them. So exciting! I had our photographer snap a couple of pics of me during our family session two weeks ago and they came out great. I never did professional maternity pics with my other two and felt the need since this is likely the last time I’ll ever be pregnant.
