How old is baby: One day shy of 6 weeks
Appointments: this Thursday 6 week check up
Symptoms/ how’s PP recovery?: I feel recovered from birth. I have a weak pelvic floor but that’s nothing new.. I’m hoping to go back to PT soon to work on it.
Milestones: DD is gaining weight and getting the cute chubby rolls on her arms and legs. She’s smiling which is awesome. Working on that neck strength with tummy time.
Rants: Broken sleep for this long is so tough. Seeing as it’s 3:34am and I’m typing this, we have been up a lot. We wish we had family closer to give MH and I just a night or two of full rest. However, she has started giving us some longer stretches (4-5 hours) in the past week so maybe I can see the light. 🤞🏻
Raves: DS is so adorable with her and always tries to get her to smile. Also I’ve been able to walk almost every day and started working out again as of yesterday.
Questions for the group: nothing right now

In the light of day I’m clarifying that I know it’s totally normal to be up so much with a newborn, and she’s doing fairly well considering.. it’s just hard. I like my sleep haha.

How old is baby: 10 weeks on Wednesday
Appointments: 2mo last week...12lb and 23.5 inches
Symptoms/How's PP recovery?: I’ve felt fully recovered for a while now. Just need to shed the last 10 pounds or so.
Milestones: first laugh today!
Rants: it’s hard to prep a house for sale with a baby around.
Raves: DS is such a good big brother. He loves holding her and playing with her.
Questions for the group?: can green baby poop mean something besides dairy and/or soy intolerance? At first I chalked it up to me having a cold, or just a weird thing from 2mo vaccines last week. But both of those have come and gone, yet the green poop has persisted. I’m searching for any other possible answer, because I really don’t want to cut out dairy again.

How old is baby: 1 month
Appointments: Just had his 4 week appt - gained 2 lbs and 2 inches! Next appt is 2 months. I have an OB appt to get my IUD on 10/3.
Symptoms/How's PP recovery?: PP recovery has been rough. I had my post partum appt w the OB and she said my pain is most likely a strained ligament (my fascia). Hurts like hell. I’m just ready to feel normal again.
Milestones: lifting his head up more during tummy time. Sleeping in 4 hour stretches occasionally.
Rants: D has been fussier lately and only wants to be held by me. Which is sweet... but after 5 hours I just want to do a load of laundry.
Raves: O has been the best big brother! He brought 2 hot wheel cars over to D yesterday. One for him to play w and 1 for his brother. Then he told me, he’s not playing with it! I could melt it was so adorable.
Questions for the group?: N/A

How old is baby: 3 weeks Appointments: Midwife & hearing test for DS next week. Symptoms/How's PP recovery?: Pretty good, having some days with the baby blues. Milestones: DS can hold his head up, yesterday he rolled over belly to back Rants: I still 25 lbs to lose. Last time I gained a lot less weight and it fell off by 4 weeks (Yes I was a magical pregnancy unicorn). It's jarring to see that I still look pregnant and that none of my bottoms fit. I'm planning on buying secondhand underbelly band maternity pants to wear this fall. I need to work on eating better and taking small walks. Raves: The last couple days, DD has been obsessed with giving DS kisses. Questions for the group?: moreorless: We were told it could mean a foremilk/hindmilk imbalance. DD never had normal poop as a baby and DS rarely has a non-green poop. I've tried everything for the imbalance, but I haven't tried cutting out dairy. I am lactose intolerant but I was told it was unlikely that they would need me to cut it out.

It’s been awhile since we did a check in... How old is baby: 2 months Appointments: Symptoms/How's PP recovery?: Good Milestones: Good head control, lots of smiles Rants: Link was hospitalized on Monday, he has a cold and bronchiolitis. He was having trouble breathing with rib retractions and I brought him into the ER first thing in the morning. It was super scary but I'm so glad he's okay and doing much better now. Raves: the smiles are so cute! He's only waking like once or twice a night now! Questions for the group?: Has anyone else been dealing with sickness?? Picture of my sweet boy 💔💔💔

beenthere DS1 got RSV last week so I was terrified that DS2 was going to get it. Luckily I was able to keep them separate and DS2 did not get it. I’m sure this is the first of many daycare sicknesses he’s going to bring home.

beenthere, we had a hospital stay as well along with a couple ER visits. It’s why I’ve been MIA here (sorry guys!). Baby and I have both had complications since he was born and the last 3 months have been filled with hospitals and doctors appointments. I’m glad your little guy is doing better!
